My BPI Sports B4 Thermogenic Once Daily Fat Burner Review

My BPI Sports B4 Thermogenic Once Daily Fat Burner Review First Look:

After yesterdays absolute body annihilation brought on by clearly lack of rest I feel much better today after getting a nice 10 hours sleep last night, and then woke up to my cat literally sat next to me on the bed staring at my face.

So after feeling like half the man I normally am I had no energy to lift any weights when I got home.

I merely did some laundry ready for a few nights away to the capitol with the better half.

However, tonight, I will see off a return 7 mile leg of my commute on my bicycle and then hit up the weights.

Then, if I am lucky, I will get some dinner when I head over to the aforementioned better halves house later this evening to have a coffee and catch up with the soaps.

Yes, you read that correctly, we love nothing more than to chill watching soap operas…a man has to chill sometime.

I do love cycling to work. It is great for fat loss and it combines travel and exercise. So instead of sat in a car, on a bus or train barely burning any calories and then trying to fit a bit of cardio in to my leisure time, it is done by the time I get to work and get home again.

I also like to use a proven and effective fat burner called Instant Knockout which continues to offer great results.

However, in the near future I may actually be in a position whereby I can potentially squeeze more cycling and more weightlifting in to my days and week.

This is an exciting prospect and one I am looking forward to if all goes to plan.

The reality is though, that if I and you want to decrease our fat mass we need to burn more calories than we consume.

An effective fat burner helps us do that, and they can give us that little edge required to strip away the last percentages you may want to rid yourself of.

Ingredients

button-4

Canavalia Gladiata – This seems to offer anti-inflammatory effects, however, it it contains antinutritional and allergy-causing proteins.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26613583

Reservatrol – Potentially has many benefits for health, could be beneficial for the heart, diabetes, cancer, however, there’s been far too many studies on the effects and benefits particularly on humans so nothing is really confirmed or crystal clear.

Psoralea Corylifolia – Very limited human research means we have no idea what benefit this may have when supplemented.

It has been traditionally used for estrogen deficiencies.

Yohimbe – Related to Yohimbine, Yohimbe is a powerful stimulant and used to increase fat loss as well as assist with erectile dysfunction.

It can cause a host of other problems though, this is in our supplements to avoid list.

Supplementation with yohimbine combined with resistance training does not significantly alter the body mass, muscle mass, or performance indicators.

Niacin (B3) –  Higher amounts of niacin can improve cholesterol levels and lower cardiovascular risks. However, the jury is out on these real benefits.

Caffeine (1,3,7-Trimethylpurine-2,6-dione) – It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form of caffeine so always look out for it.

This is found in 4 Gauge which is the best pre-workout.

It is also found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

Dendrobium – Now becoming a popular stimulant found in pre-workout supplements. However, the effects have not been studied in people so it is all a bit of an unknown.

Quercetin Anhydrous (Apple extract, 3, 4, 5, 7-pentahydroxylflavone) – Has anti-oxidant, anti-artherogenic, and anti-carcinogenic properties. Quercetin is also neuroactive, with some of the same abilities as Caffeine but less potent.

It increases the bio-availability of resveratrol. Doses of up to 25mg per kg of body weight is advised.

Dose:

Up to 1 pill per day.

This would equate up to a horrendous 710mg daily.

This dose is not particularly good when considering the best fat burners tend to offer in excess of 3000mg.

It is recommended that we have at least 4 tablets spread evenly across the day, as per the best fat burner on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and to ensure that if you get a large hit of ingredients it isn’t wasted if your body doesn’t require them.

Effects & Benefits:

There is just one proven ingredient included in this fat burner that can offer weight loss benefit.

Caffeine is a stimulant that controls the central nervous system and is a thermogenic so can raise the body temperature which in turn burns more calories.

Negatives:

Just one effective and proven ingredient is not optimal.

Yohimbe can cause a whole manner of problems that can risk your health. Even so, it is not proven to alter body mass.

Canavalia seems also to offer risk to the user.

Then there’s a further three ingredients that have very little human studies to ensure we know exactly how they will work and if they will be beneficial to weight loss and not pose a health risk.

For Quercetin to be offer any positive weight loss effects we would need 25mg per 1kg/2.2lbs of body weight. That means I would need 2250mg – this combined product is only 710mg.

Fat burner’s such as Instant Knockout contain ten proven and effective ingredients, whereas this includes quite a few less.

Let us not forget that the overall dose is very low too, alongside a poor dosing strategy.

Oh, and this is a proprietary blend. This means we have no idea of how much individual ingredient is included.

My BPI Sports B4 Thermogenic Once Daily Fat Burner Review Conclusion:

This fat burner includes only one very well regarded and effective ingredient that is also found in the best fat burners, but that’s where the positives end.

It also includes two potentially problematic ingredients which could be harmful to health.

And another ingredient that is so under-dosed even if it is effective at fat burning, it would not have an effect.

Plus a further three with so little human research between them we have no idea of the effects.

When we consider that there are only a total of eight ingredients, these are coming up as rather large shortcomings.

However, more so, it lacks a number of additional proven ingredients that are found in other proven fat burners.

With the omission of the following, it doesn’t seem too positive:

  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Chromium
  • Zinc
  • B12
  • B6
  • Glucomannan
  • Green Tea
  • Green Coffee

Therefore, I would not recommend that you buy this fat burner.
