Game Plan SHRED Fat Burner Review // What’s It Like?

Game Plan SHRED Fat Burner Review First Look:

So, with the dust settled and the rugby tour now over, I feel bloated and the booze has certainly got to me. Mentally I am a fragile man right now and the only thing I really remember is that I lost 2 bank cards and I found myself wandering through some fields last night.

The tour itself was a great success, lots of fun and drinking was had, but now the serious shit is here…vacation.

Yes, in 2 weeks time I will be driving through Europe with some beach time scheduled in and I do not feel particularly beach ready.

I also cycled approximately 5 miles today and was decidedly fucked at the end…something needs to change.

Luckily I think it will do soon.

It seems the sale of my house and purchase of another much closer to work, in fact work will only be 6 miles away with a great route to cycle along as well.

As it is, it has been 4 years of no time to ride or really get any real cardio in which annoys the hell out of me. I hate puffing and wheezing up stairs.

So here is something else that can at least help with the shedding of fat rather than increase cardiovascular improvements.

It looks very similar to the testosterone booster called T-Jack from Game Plan too. It has a simple label with no frills, it doesn’t particularly strike me as a fat burner or a supplement for that matter but it isn’t offensive nor gimmicky.

Ingredients

Chromium –  Research suggests that chromium might improve weight loss in some people who are overweight or obese.

BioPerineThe extract of piperine, called BioPerine®  in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine®  significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption. This is found in Instant Knockout.

Vitamin B12 – B12 fights fatigue, muscle wastage, boosts mood, cognition and is vital to many bodily functions including metabolism and food digestion.

So to put it bluntly, we need this for smooth operation and be able to smash those workout sessions which in turn helps you burn fat and lose those unwanted pounds.

Rasberry Ketone – Whilst touted as a miracle weight loss supplement and sometimes for lean muscle mass it is important to keep in mind that there is no reliable scientific evidence that it improves weight loss when taken by people.

C. Canephora Robusta (Green Coffee Extract) – Evidence from research has indicated that the consumption of caffeinated coffee can lead to some reductions in long-term weight gain, an effect which is likely to be due to the known thermogenic effects of caffeine intake.

This is found in the best fat burners.

African Mango (Irvingia gabonensis)– There are a few research studies on the health effects of IG extracts, and most have been sponsored by supplement makers, make of that what you will… This is found in EVLNutrition Lean Mode but that didn’t score very well with us.

Uva Ursi – Helps reduce inflammation and fight infection. However, it can be liver toxic, do not take for more than 5 days at a time. Can also have a bad reaction with any citrus.

Lipolide Sclareolides – A derivative of Clary Sage. Popular on mumsnet as it can be an anti depressant and lower cortisol levels which can benefit testosterone production but it is a very small effect.

Fenugreek – Fenugreek is a proven ingredient as found in our benchmark testosterone boosting product; Testofuel.

Research shows that a fenugreek seed extract can reduce daily fat intake in overweight men when taken by mouth at a dose of 392 mg three times daily for 2-6 weeks.

Gymnema Sylvestre Leaf Extract – A study on rats, published in the December 2013 issue of “Drug Research,” found that this herb may prevent weight gain when used over the long term while consuming a high-fat diet. Further human studies are needed to confirm whether these findings apply to humans.

Saffron (Crocus sativus) – Studies show that saffron, at the recommended dose, has antidepressant properties. Saffron’s side effects, like reduced snacking and an elevated mood, could be the result of increased serotonin secretion.

Saffron does not have a high margin of safety, so care should be taken during supplementation. The standard daily dose is 30mg, used for up to eight weeks. It is possible that even double the dose could result in harm to the body.

Forslean (Coleus forskohlii) – Forskolin is a chemical found in the roots of the plant Plectranthus barbatus.

This plant has been used since ancient times to treat heart disorders such as high blood pressure and chest pain (angina), as well as respiratory disorders such as asthma, it can also assist with reducing fat mass in obese people.

However, no reliable scientific information that shows Coleus forskohlii extracts taken by mouth are effective.

Dandelion – There’s many uses for dandelion, however, there’s no real evidence to suggest it works for any of them.

Dose:

The advice is to take 4 tablets daily which equates to a low 1205mg

This is about half of the best fat burners.

Effects & Benefits:

There’s 5 ingredients here that are able to help with weight loss.

There’s also Bioperine which can help the absorption of these ingredients.

B12 and Green Coffee Bean extract are commonly found in many good fat burner supplements.

Saffron is not quite as popular and neither is Gymnema.

Fenugreek is more commonly associated with stimulating testosterone levels rather than weight loss but it seems, in the correct dose research has yielded some positive results.

Negatives:

It is disappointing to see that just 5 of the 13 ingredients will offer any benefit.

That is less than half of the entire product.

It is also a shame to see that the required dose of Fenugreek for weight loss is 393mg yet we are only given 200mg…more research is needed by Game Plan.

While there’s evidence for the effectiveness of Saffron can be harmful to the body if too much is used this is most likely why it is not such a common ingredient. In the same vein, Uva Ursi is toxic to the liver.

The remaining ingredients just lack any real breadth of evidence to prove they work to help reduce weight.

Game Plan SHRED Fat Burner Review Conclusion:

This lacks to many proven and effective fat burning ingredients, it also includes ingredients that are extremely dose sensitive while not providing the correct dose and ingredients that can be harmful to the body.

Or in the case of Forslean it just has no evidence that when taken by mouth it is effective.

It is also low dosed overall with it being in excess of 1500mg short of the best fat burners.

So while it does provide 4 useful ingredients, the negatives far outweigh the positives and this is not a supplement to choose considering the competition on offer.
