MuscleTech CLA 4X SX-7 Black Onyx Fat Burner Review

MuscleTech CLA 4X SX-7 Black Onyx Fat Burner Review First Look:

How sinful have you been today? Or this week even?

You could have been sinful for much of your life, eating and gorging without a real care in the world.

Today I had a Five Guys double cheese and bacon burger. I had all of the toppings plus lots of Cajun fries. In fact a tremendous amount of Cajun fries. Obviously I washed this down with a full sugar can of Coke. Who wouldn’t?

I am also nursing a vanilla latte because yours truly is a despicable human being.

The day previous I was even worse, hitting a Subway Mega Melt in the morning to be followed up by a KFC box meal plus a meat pie that I microwaved.

Yes, fat shit sat right here writing to you couldn’t even be bothered to oven bake the pie, I wanted it quick and easy so in the microwave it went and a couple of minutes later it arrived steamy and floppy which is nothing like the old floppy disk drives that were in fact rigid. That still gets me to this day.

To make up for my Five Guys bonanza today it was about time I took a further look at a fat burner because, lets face it, after my recent behavior which has been outright scandalous lead me to eating a turkey breast plus asparagus.

Why would I need to take such a dietary U-turn you ask?

I have a vacation to fucking France and Italy in 2 weeks!

Thank fuck this CLA 4X SX-7 from MuscleTech has arrived, thank fuck it looks like every other MuscleTech product and thank fuck we can barely distinguish each from the other, because who wants a simple life anyway when MuscleTech can ruin our day so easily?

Conjugated Linolenic Acid (CLA) – Initial reports and studies of CLA have showed that it helped a bunch of women who did no exercise lose 9% body fat.

However, further studies are showing very mixed, if not medicore results that aren’t really setting the world alight, in fact the side effects are having their presence felt moreso outweighing any real benefits.

Any benefits that were found meant that the composition had to be greater than 80%.

L-carnitine – Acetyl-L-carnitine helps the body produce energy. It is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement, and many other body processes.

Men who were supplemented with 2000mg per day showed an increase of Insulin like growth hormone when combined with exercise. This is good.

C. Canephora Robusta (Green Coffee Extract) – Evidence from research has indicated that the consumption of caffeinated coffee can lead to some reductions in long-term weight gain.

These weight loss results are likely to be due to the known thermogenic effects of the caffeine.

This is found in the best fat burners such as Instant Knockout.

Garcinia Inidca (Kokum) – The rind and leaves contain Hydroxycitric acid which has anti-obesity effects.

The extract of Kokum has very good antimicrobial effects too which could potentially relive the symptoms of oral ulcers.

Garcinia Cambogia – Supposedly this helps people lose body weight, however, trials have been unsubstantiated or at least unimpressive enough to not warrant bothering with.

Any tests run where there has been a glimmer of hope have been in stage 1 obese people.

Dose:

The advice is to take 2 softgels twice daily which provides a buoyant 3400mg daily.

This is a good amount of ingredients and is up there with the best fat burners which tend to offer in excess of 3000mg.

Effects & Benefits:

There’s not as many ingredients included in the product from MuscleTech which is completely different to most of their supplements that i have reviewed.

Usually they are laden with lots and lots of ingredients and most of the supplements are very similar with just a few ingredient changes here and there…talk about milking every opportunity.

For that fact I normally stay clear of MuscleTech supplements because it seems they are more of a cash cow sales organisation rather than a fitness company trying to help people reach their goals.

It has to be said that although there are only 5 ingredients listed just 3 are what I would consider effective due to results from studies.

Green Coffee is found in Instant Knockout which is my favorite fat burner.

L-carnitine is great for producing the energy required to get some hard exercise done to burn those calories you have consumed from KFC, Subway, Five Guys etc..oh, that’s just me then..!

I have never really come across Kokum before but not only having anti-obesity qualities it is useful for hygiene purposes and is wrongly overlooked in many cases according to the study by the British Medical Journal.

CLA offers varying results and often comes in varying compositions. It is clear that for there to be any hope of positive results it needs to have a composition of at least 80%.

Negatives:

Carrying on from CLA and its required 80% composition it is not entirely encouraging to see that the composition level is not provided…slow clap MuscleTech.

With that in mind I would err on the side of caution and believe that the required composition is not provided here.

Speaking of doses…For maximum benefit of Carnitine-L-tartrate we need 2000mg not the 500mg provided here.

The results from studies o Garcinia Cambodia is lackluster at best.

What else?

The absolute lack of other proven ingredients such Cayenne Papper, B vitamins, Zinc, Chromium etc.

MuscleTech CLA 4X SX-7 Black Onyx Fat Burner Review Conclusion:

A bit disappointing if I am honest.

Unlike many other fat burner products from the MuscleTech range which contain masses of ingredients this bucks the trend and only contains 5.

This initially got me thinking that they had seen sense, washed away the unnecessary crap and focused and condensed the formula to produce something effective.

However, they haven’t really done that.

MuscleTech have offered 3 good ingredients with a potential 4th, however, they are with flaws.

This makes them not particularly effective, especially when you consider other available products from different brands that offer 8,9 or 10 proven ingredients leaving this one sincerely in the shade.

When the above is considered and there’s alternative fat burners that are effective and safe it would not be the wisest of choices to pick this one.
