My UNS Supplements MAN UP! Testosterone Booster Review First Look:

I was concerned storm Brian may batter me this morning on my cycle in to work, but alas, his efforts were feeble.

However, it did still mean that I had a headwind to battle, not only battling a head wind, I had a sore crotch from the saddle.

In all honesty it has left me feeling a bit tired, I couldn’t go my usual speed in to work and every push on the pedals was draining.

I can feel my energy levels feeling low now as a result and I have deadlifts to perform tonight.

This is not a good combination. And, I fear, my performance may be as feeble as Brian’s.

So I am going to load up on food today try try and feed my body, that said, I had a large dinner last night that filled me up and almost put me in a food coma as I had my hair cut while watching 127 hours…

Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone productions are increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation.

Nettle Root – Good for reducing inflammation and an enlarged prostate but has no effect on testosterone.

Zinc – An aphrodisiac and Testosterone Booster.

Zinc is also very important for the functioning of the enzyme, hormone, and immune systems.In very high doses, zinc can act as an aromatase inhibitor and reduce estrogen levels.

It is also a potent antioxidant and can provide benefits for prostate issues.

Fenugreek – Fenugreek is a proven ingredient as found in our benchmark testosterone boosting product; Testofuel.

Research shows that a fenugreek seed extract can reduce daily fat intake in overweight men when taken by mouth at a dose of 392 mg three times daily for 2-6 weeks.

Muira Puama – No real scholarly studies or evidence available from reliable sources that would suggest that this stimulates testosterone production.

This may help with improving sexual function when combined with Ginkgo but other than that there’s not much to go on.

Avena Sativa (Oat) – This is a type of oat that has been seen to raise luteinzing hormones in the body, which are a precursor to testosterone and growth hormone.

Not a great deal of real, heavy evidence if anything at all but the hallmarks of something good are there. A bit of a gamble. In plenty of T-Boosters that do not work.

Tribulus – Once marveled, now known to have no effect on testosterone levels, by now supplement manufacturers should really let go.  Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

It also failed to provide any benefit hen tested on a bunch of professional Australian rugby players.

Saw Palmetto – this fatty acid was long touted to help boost testosterone levels, but those claims turned out to be false.

It is effective in suppressing prostate growth though. So could help if you are taking steroids or Prohormones.

D-Aspartate, DAA – D-aspartic acid is one of two forms of the amino acid aspartic acid. The other form is L-aspartate. The benefits of D-AA are specific to it, and do not extend to aspartic acid or L-aspartate. D-AA can be used as a testosterone booster for infertile men, and by athletes as a temporary booster.

D-AA works in the central brain region to cause a release of hormones, such as luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and growth hormone. Importantly, unlike some pro-hormones and steroids, it does not raise estrogen levels.

A dose of 2000-3000mg is required.

DAA is found in the most effective and beneficial testosterone boosters.

Dose:

The daily dose is 4 capsules a day which is a good dosing strategy.

It is recommended that we have at least 4 tablets spread evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and to ensure that if you get a large hit of ingredients it isn’t wasted if your body doesn’t require them.

However, we are instructed to take all 4 at once.

Effects & Benefits:

Only four ingredients included in this testosterone booster are proven to increase testosterone.

These are in the form of:

  • D3
  • DAA
  • Zinc
  • Fenugreek

There is then Nettle. Nettle does not have a direct influence with testosterone production, however, it can reduce inflammation and too much inflammation inhibits testosterone production.

The Four ingredients listed with the bullet points are found in products such as TestoFuel which is among the best out there.

Negatives:

Tribulus is included which as been proven not to stimulate any testosterone or improve performance.

For that mater, neither does Muira Puama or Oat.

However, one of the most irksome issues isn’t the lack of proven ingredients, because, there is a lack when we’re only provided with four…

Especially when you consider proven products such as those found in our top 3 testosterone booster list contain eight or more.

No, it’s not the lack of ingredients, it is the fact that even though D-Aspartic Acid is included, it isn’t dosed highly enough for what is required to get any additional benefit.

We need a dose of at least 2000mg per day and this only offers 1000mg.

My UNS Supplements MAN UP! Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:

As already mentioned I use TestoFuel which includes 9 effective and proven testosterone boosting ingredients.

While this testosterone booster includes four proven and effective ingredients, one of them does not provide the adequate dose and then there are three ingredients that offer no proven benefit at all.

That’s a further three missed opportunities.

As a result, I can barely recommend this as it is.
