Obesity Research Institute Lipozene MetaboUP Plus Fat Burner Review First Look:

I’m hitting the gym tonight with the bird.

We’re both quite secretly conscious of our first vacation away together and I think we both want to look pretty spectacular.

To be honest, she does look spectacular and could look spectacular with a paper bag on her head, but for me, a lot more hard work needs to be done to even look remotely as if I am not punching above my weight too much.

Thus, deadlifts ahoy this evening in the coal bunker gym underneath my living room area.

Plus also healthy-ish food and cycling in to work tomorrow for a spot of cardio.

Notwithstanding Instant Knockout which I use religiously to help cut fat.

I also use this in conjunction with TestoFuel which is a testosterone booster to maximize my gainz and try to look almost a bit alpha while strutting around that pool and probably falling in after too many gin and tonics. Make mine a Hendricks please, good sir.

So with all of these considerations in place I am still looking for a fat burner that may be able to out perform what I consider to be the best due to results.

Hence why I picked this one out to look at, it is by the ‘Obesity Research Institute’ which is either something official and fabulous or just made up to sound official and fabulous.

A quick search online doesn’t actually bring up the ‘Obesity Research Institute’; make of that what you will.

Kola (Centella asiatica) – A legendary plant in China and Indonesia that as been used for many ailments, and may be good for syphilis, however, nothing to do with reducing fat.

Oolong Tea Extract – Insufficient evidence to say that it will help with weight loss but seems to be positive for mental alertness and performance.

Caffeine – This can assist with endurance, tested athletes saw an edge from caffeine in scientific studies. In some trials, the stimulant boosted athletes’ speed. In others, it helped them last longer before they spent all their energy.

Caffeine also raises the metabolism which means you burn more calories. Some studies show that it can curb soreness after exercise, too. This means you could get back to your training sooner and training means more calories burnt. This is present in all 3 of our Top Fat Burners.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form so always look for that.

Capsicum – Capsaicin is known to boost metabolism, causing the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel. This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout. There’s 40,000 heat units present (HU) which is pretty darn hot.

Green Tea – well known to have many powerful health benefits. Clinical studies suggest that green tea extract may boost metabolism and help burn fat.

One study found that the combination of green tea and caffeine improved weight loss and maintenance in people who were overweight and moderately obese.

Some researchers think that substances in green tea known as catechins are responsible for the herb’s fat-burning effect. Green tea extract is found in many a good fat burning supplement.

Dose:

The advice is to work ourselves up to taking 2 capsules daily which provides an inadequate 1072.615mg daily.

This is a very low daily dose when compared with the best fat burners which tend to offer in excess of 3000mg.

Already we are looking at a shortfall of around two thirds.

Effects & Benefits:

There’s 6 beneficial, fat burning ingredients included.

5 of these are found in the best fat burner, Instant Knockout, however, there is an additional ingredient which, although more research is required, does show a lot of promise when it comes to fighting obesity.

Platycodon appears to have reduced the effects of obesity when tested on rats.

The remaining ingredients such as Caffeine, B6, B12, Cayenne and Green Tea are all well regarded and proven ingredients that are not as popular as one may consider when we look through different fat burners.

Not including these ingredients can prove to be a missed opportunity.

Negatives:

This isn’t dosed highly enough plus it is a proprietary blend which means while we know how much B6 and B12 is included, all we know of the blend of the other ingredients is that the total combined is 952mg.

This may not seem a problem, however, we may only be getting trace amounts of each ingredient not even amounting to 1mg and the remaining 951mg could legally be nothing more than a bulking agent.

This is particularly important for ingredients such as Guarana which have to be carefully dosed for optimal results.

Then there’s Kola and Oolong which may either help with STD’s or improved mental performance but do not reduce fat mass.

Interestingly this does include a solid 5 fat burning ingredients that have constantly been proven for their effectiveness. It also includes a further, less known ingredient that is showing positive anti-obesity effects.

This is a great start.

However, it then loses its composure as we are hit with not only a low daily dose but a proprietary blend which means we do not know the exact amount of each ingredients included which is not ideal when there’s items like Guarana included which are highly dose sensitive.

We then are issued with a further 2 ingredients that do not offer any fat burning prowess.

So while this does contain some great ingredients there are better products out there which you can read about, here.
