R70 Thermogenic Metabolizer Fat Burner Review

R70 Thermogenic Metabolizer Fat Burner Review

R70 Thermogenic Metabolizer Fat Burner Review First Look:

I have just returned from a walk of self discovery.

This is what I tend to do when I am hungover. Go for a nice 5 mile walk, clear the mind, get the blood pumping a little bit and get some fresh air.

It usually helps and tonight it did me wonders.

I feel way better and a bit healthier, plus a ice bit of walking is cardio to help burn off the excess calories from drinking way too much beer last night.

I woke up way too early, for a train that was far to early to go to work and feel like death.

Normally I would have been in the gym on a Thursday night instead of drinking about 15 bottles of Corona and then having a burger, then having a solitary 3 course meal at midnight in a Turkish restaurant.

So, along with a decent diet and a bit of exercise it is also good to incorporate a fat burner such as Instant Knockout in to your regime in order to keep the booze induced calories at bay.

This is because the ingredients found in Instant Knockout are all proven to raise the metabolism and burn more calories.

Keen to maintain a reasonable looking physique I am also keen to hunt down the most effective fat burner or indeed testosterone booster to ensure I can grow yet not get too fat.

This fat burner from R70 claims to offer extreme potency and, just by looking at the package it looks of a good quality and initial impressions are good.

Ingredients

Phaseolus Vulgaris (White Kidney Bean) – Analysis revealed a statistically non-significant difference in weight loss between P. vulgaris and placebo groups. It doesn’t work.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22844674

Capsicum (Cayenne) – Known to boost metabolism, cayenne causes the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel. This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout.

Papaya – Papaya contains a chemical called papain. Papain breaks down proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. There are uncertaintis whether it is effective when taken by mouth though.

African Mango (Irvingia gabonensis)– There are a few research studies on the health effects of IG extracts, and most have been sponsored by supplement makers, make of that what you will… This is found in EVLNutrition Lean Mode but that didn’t score very well with us.

Green Coffee Bean – Green coffee beans are coffee beans that have not yet been roasted. These coffee beans contain a higher amount of the chemical chlorogenic acid.

For weight loss, chlorogenic acid in green coffee is thought to affect how the body handles blood sugar and metabolism. This is found in our favorite fat burner, Instant Knockout.

Garcinia Cambogia – Supposedly helps people lose weight, however, trials have been unsubstantiated or at least unimpressive.

Any tests run where there has been a glimmer of hope have been in stage 1 obese people.

Rasberry Ketone – Whilst touted as a miracle weight loss supplement and sometimes for lean muscle mass it is important to keep in mind that there is no reliable scientific evidence that it improves weight loss when taken by people.

Caffeine – This can assist with endurance, tested athletes saw an edge from caffeine in scientific studies.

In some trials, the stimulant boosted athletes’ speed. In others, it helped them last longer before they spent all their energy.

Caffeine also raises the metabolism which means you burn more calories. Some studies show that it can curb soreness after exercise, too. This means you could get back to your training sooner and training means more calories burnt.

This is present in all 3 of our Top Fat Burners.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-979-caffeine.aspx?activeingredientid=979

Apple Cider Vinegar – A study in Japan showed that obese people who took apple cider vinegar daily for 12 weeks lost a small amount of weight. Once they stopped taking it the weight did return though.

http://www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/apple-cider-vinegar-and-health

Conjugated Linolenic Acid (CLA) – Initial reports and studies of CLA have showed that it helped a bunch of women who did no exercise lose 9% body fat.

However, further studies are showing very mixed, if not medicore results that aren’t really setting the world alight, in fact the side effects are having their presence felt moreso outweighing any real benefits.

Any benefits that were found meant that the composition had to be greater than 80%.

Hoodia Gordonii – Hoodia fails to suppress the appetite and may also be mildly toxic and imprudent to supplement.

https://examine.com/supplements/hoodia-gordonii/

5-HTP (Griffonia)– This chemical increases the synthesis of serotonin which helps against insomnia, binge eating and helps with your mood and well being.

Anyone who is or used to go clubbing to house music will know a thing or two about serotonin!

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-794-5-htp.aspx?activeingredientid=794&activeingredientname=5-htp

L-Arginine – This is found in many pre workout supplements or products designed to make you more vascular.

L-Arginine opens up the blood vessels and arteries to assist with blood flow, nothing really to do with testosterone but may assist with any impotency issues that are not helping you attain that hot chick in the gym who is 15 years your junior.

However, you will require 5g per day alone!

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-875-larginine.aspx?activeingredientid=875&

Turmeric – Finding itself more popular and being included in a variety of products, yet we find this most puzzling. Why?

Well regardless to the fact that it has no link to testosterone stimulation it also has very poor bio-availability rendering it useless when ingested. This is included in our top 10 ingredients that do not work.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-662-turmeric.aspx?activeingredientid=662

Rhodiola rosea – Can protect against cognitive deficits, neuronal injury and oxidative stress, can also be used as a potential agent in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. This is found in our favorite Nootropic.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19950527_wp_link_placeholde

Paullinia Cupana (AKA Guarana) – Studies note that 75mg guarana (9mg caffeine) was able to enhance cognitive scores related to memory and reaction time with a subsequent dose-response study noting that 75mg was more effective than higher (150-300mg) and lower (37.5mg) doses.

Dose:

Just the 1 capsule per day.

We prefer at least 4 pills spread out across the course of the day to ensure our body has a constant supply of ingredients to process.

The daily dose of 325mg is a very low amount of combined ingredients, especially if you consider there’s 16 different ingredients present.

In fact, this dose is terrible when you consider some of the supplements we come across and doesn’t compare well with the best fat burners which tend to offer in excess of 3000mg.

Effects & Benefits:

Cayenne, Caffeine and Green Coffee are proven to help with weight loss which is great and they are all found in the best fat burner we have trialed.

Apple Cider Vinegar has produced some fairly positive results in test but the consumption needs to be consistent otherwise the weight lost can reappear once it is stopped being used.

CLA can offer good results, in tests it has performed well to then perform poorly in other tests which means its effectiveness just isn’t conclusive nor consistent.

5-HTP while not a fat burner as such can help suppress appetite meaning you won’t want to fill your fat face with junk quite as often.

Rhodiola can help protect cognitive function and Guarana, if dosed adequately can help improve memory and other cognitive function.

Arginine has nothing to do with weight loss or fat burn but can increase blood flow, or at least if there’s a dose of 5000mg preset, which there definitely isn’t here.

Negatives:

The daily dose is unbelievably low compared to  what we are used to seeing with the best fat burners.

Effectively of the 16 ingredients we only have 4 ingredients to help with burning fat, that are proven to work anyway and work consistently.

It certainly does not offer the fat burning performance we want nor is available in other fat burning supplements such as Instant Knockout.

The other issue that doesn’t sit right with me is that CLA cannot offer the reliable results we need, there’s been to much variation in performance to see it as truly effective and Apple Cider Vinegar needs to be taken all the time otherwise the weight will return.

Garcinia and Raspberry Ketones do not offer much in terms of proven ability.

Which leads me on to the fact that this is not only an insignificant daily dose but also a proprietary blend. This means the dose per ingredient is not disclosed.

We could just be getting trace amounts of each and a whole lot of bulking agent.

Plus there’s a couple of ingredients that although not going to help reduce fat mass could potentially offer some benefit but they’re not dosed properly to be effective.

R70 Thermogenic Metabolizer Fat Burner Review Conclusion:

This ‘extreme potency’ fat burner is neither extreme nor potent, in fact it is probably one of the lowest dosed fat burner supplements I have ever seen.

This combined with a proprietary blend doesn’t bode too well.

It is also missing other key ingredients that would really help with burning more calories such as:

  • B12
  • B6
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Green Tea

Instead we are offered a plethora of ineffective and unproven ingredients, or ingredients that are not dosed strong enough.

This, then will not help at all in my and your aims to lose extra fat mass and burn more calories. It really is quite terrible.

Therefore, some other products such as those in our top 3 fat burners are more far more attractive propositions.
