My USN PUREFIT Energy Burst Performance Gel Review

My USN PUREFIT Energy Burst Performance Gel Review

My USN PUREFIT Energy Burst Performance Gel Review First Look:

Last night saw me with little time to do much at home after work.

After collecting my car from the garage, hitting the grocery store and eating I only had time left to hit the bench press.

So that’s what I did.

I am starting to feel a bit ill and I have not hit the bench for a good week or so, so it is always difficult to swing straight back in to step and go full bore.

Especially as I had worked my shoulders the night before…

With the limited time and not wanting to have a load of liquid sloshing around in my belly I opted to try this sachet of gel.

These provide a quick and easy option to get some energy before your chosen sport without the need for water or a shaker.

I took the option, tore off the top and sucked it out…if anything, I should get a gold medal for sucking.

Ingredients:

RELATED: We’ve tried and tested the best pre-workout supplement HERE!

Vitamin C – Widely hailed for its benefits. It can help protect the testes from stress and therefore preserve testosterone levels.

Being an anti-oxidant helps with blood flow too.

Salt (sodium) – An essential mineral; its consumption is critical to our health. However, Americans plus a lot of Western countries do consume double the recommended daily intake.

Excess sodium may not raise blood pressure, but it is associated with other health issues, such as kidney damage and an increased risk of cognitive decline.

Caffeine – It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form of caffeine so always look out for it.

This is found in 4 Gauge which is the best pre-workout.

It is also found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

Dose:

84.3mg of ingredients as part of a gel liquid..

This does not compare very well to many of the best pre workout supplements which will offer over 15,000mg.

The flavor was blackcurrant. It was vile, I hated it.

Benefits & Effects:

This does not offer many ingredients, but those that are included are good.

We are looking at:

  • Vitamin C – Helps blood flow
  • Sodium – Replaces essential lost salts through perspiration.
  • Caffeine – Stimulates the central nervous system

So, while there may not be many, they are certainly useful.

These ingredients feature in some of the best pre workout supplements available on the market.

How Did It Feel?

I felt no benefit.

The Caffeine didn’t even seem to have an effect on me and I felt weak.

Negatives:

So, with that number, albeit small, of effective and beneficial ingredients, what could possibly go wrong?

Well, the doses for each one is very small.

Especially when you consider all we have here is 30mg of Caffeine.

The stronger, more beneficial pre workout supplements will have in excess of 200mg.

So, when you combine a low number of ingredients with a low dose you get a low effect.

I didn’t feel like I had much energy to do anything extra. In fact, even if I had the time I probably would not have carried on any further.

My USN PUREFIT Energy Burst Performance Gel Review Conclusion:

The selling point for this is that it offers convenience.

You can have a load of these in your locker, car or gym bag just before you hit the field and hopefully get that surge of energy to get you through the game.

However, that’s really all it offers…the convenience part.

Because, it offers very little else in terms of performance.

For a start, just over 84mg is not enough, especially when you have to consider what the other, effective and beneficial pre workout supplements offer.

It also omits many proven ingredients that are present in many of the best pre workout supplements.

This was absolutely clear when I tested it for my gym session I felt no effects at all. Absolutely nothing.

Due to the limited effects, the fact that it is missing the following ingredients and not being dosed adequately I would not suggest that this energy gel from USN is worth investing in:

  • Coconut water
  • Potassium
  • Theanine
  • Rhodiola
  • Beet
  • Carnitine
  • Citrulline
  • Creatine
  • B vitamins

There is a better product than this that will get you fired up and cause hell in your chosen sport.
