XT X-TONE FITNESS Creatine Monohydrate Powder Review // Don’t Bother With Other Brands

Creatine by X-Tone Fitness

Creatine Monohydrate is probably the most common strength building supplement after protein.

When discovered through research in the middle of the 20th century it is probably the biggest supplement breakthrough in weight training circles.

Natural sources of Creatine can be found in red meat and fish; however, it can be difficult to get the amounts your body needs to really pack on slabs of muscle.

Creatine Monohydrate is the synthetic form of Creatine which you can take in much larger doses conveniently and cheaply.

Many other forms of Creatine are knocking about, all being touted (by the manufacturer) as the next big thing and there is no wonder considering the Creatine market alone is worth billions.

However, it seems that normal Creatine Monohydrate is pretty unbeatable for effectiveness so do not be fooled by product that can seemingly be absorbed better by the body.

Let’s take a look at the Creatine offered by little known company: Protein Active who are based in Belfast, U.K.

First look:

This creatine comes in a handy pouch which you can stuff in to a bag or that full cupboard in the kitchen easily unlike some of those annoying tubs.

There’s also 500g which is just over 1.1lbs.

This is plenty, you may think that you need a larger amount but trust me, this will last ages.

In fact each pouch offers 100 servings and it costs less than $7.50/£6 – that is phenomenal value for money!

Most competitors charge at least twice that much and try to bamboozle customers with different forms of creatine, yet nothing has proven to be more effective than regular creatine monohydrate.

Which begs the question; why buy anything else?

Ingredients:

Pure Creatine Monohydrate, it is the simplest form and most popular of Creatine.

The powder is very fine and tasteless.

I tend to dissolve a vitamin C tablet in my mixing bottle and add the powder to the water to help the taste and to get a hit of vitamin C daily.

Creatine

Since its breakthrough creatine is considered the most effective supplement for the price.

It is much cheaper than many supplements and works much better, too providing improvements in muscular size and strength.

In high doses it has been proven to increase testosterone levels.

Overall, people who are looking to increase their power and strength creatine is a vital supplement that should be taken advantage of. [1] [2]

Dose:

Take 4 daily servings of 5g. Take them spread out across the course of the day and take it with plenty of water.

Being a fine powder it will be easy for your body to process.

Effects:

During the initially loading phase you should notice size and strength gains.

Your size will increase quite significantly as creatine pulls the water in to your muscle cells which in turn will become harder and stronger.

As it takes effect you will be able to push out a couple more reps or a couple more pound of weight on the barbell.

One thing to note is that Creatine is much more effective for high intensity exercise such as those heavy lifts and big Rugby or American Football hits.

It is not quite as valuable for any sports that require endurance such as cycling or running.

Negatives:

The only real negative is that as with all creatine products, taking too much at once may lead to feeling bloated or it cause cause stomach pain.

Due to the additional weight gain that creatine can cause from larger muscles it may not help if you are looking to perfrom in any endurance competitions.

Overall though, creatine is recognized as being safe and effective.

Review Conclusion:

Creatine is widely regarded as one of the most widely available, cost effective, beneficial not to mention legal supplements to take while looking to build muscle and strength.

Generally speaking the bang for your buck with creatine is excellent anyway, but X-TONE have taken it to another level with this excellent price – it really offers great value for money and now my source of creatine.

While it is not as easy to throw in to a bag or a locker as tablets for example, at this price you could have a pouch everywhere and just mix it with water to ensure your muscles are strong and full!

PROS – Cheap and an effective way to increase strength and power

CONS – Can cause bloating and muscle cramps
