My Adios Herbal Slimming Aid Review
My Adios Herbal Slimming Aid Review First Look:
A fat burner is used and bought because, if it is effective, it helps your body burn more calories than it would normally and help work towards that necessary calorie deficit.
If calories taken in (eaten or drunk) are far more than burned (exercise, metabolic rate) then you gain fat as the food is stored as fat for use in the future.
However, if you burn more calories than your ingest then you burn through the fat as what is stored you use as energy.
So, a good fat burner helps chip away at your fat stores.
And, when I head over the grocery store I love to see what supplements they have in stock.
Occasionally you can find some excellent little gems at a good price.
On this occasion, I saw this Adios slimming aid from Diomed Herbals.
I haven’t heard of them or the product before, so I thought I would buy it and see whether it is effective and beneficial.
However, the key is ‘effective’, there are many fat burners and other supplements on the market that offer no real fat loss benefit at all.
Therefore, I like to trial many to see what they can offer and if they are competitive.
Let’s see if it has the minerals to be a winner like Instant Knockout which I use regularly to keep me trim and allow my abs to be visible.
Adios does market this as a slimming aid rather than a fat burner, so let’s see what this means.
What can a fat burner really do?
You may well be surprised actually.
The idea that an effective fat burner just magically makes your waist smaller is far from the truth.
However, only the effective fat burners contain a number of ingredients in correct doses that work harmoniously and through a number of outcomes help you lose fat mass, not muscle.
Their benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Increase energy – This will help you be more active and stimulate you for effective workouts
- Thermogenic – These ingredients will increase the temperature of your core which increases calorie expenditure
- Appetite control – The ability to feel fuller and not to fall for sweet, calorie laden treats
As a result I tend to supplement my exercise regime with a fat burner supplement.
I have found Instant Knockout to offer the best results and as a result I try to use that daily.
Ingredients: The Science
Boldo Leaf (Peumus Boldus Molina)
This has been used for centuries with fossilised leafs been found dating back to the 13th century with human teeth marks.
At best, this can rid your body of excess fluids which will result in a temporary loss of weight. A lack of fluids isn’t healthy, though.
Used for many conditions, but, so far, there isn’t enough scientific evidence to determine whether or not it is effective for any of them.
It’s also important to note that it’s not safe to take bladderwrack by mouth.
Butternut (Juglans Cineraria)
This is a new one to me and after a bit of research it seems that the only weight loss benefits you will gain from this is to relieve constipation.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Full of vitamins but not a great deal of human research to suggest that it can suppress appetite or lower blood sugar levels.
It may be the rabbits favorite meal but unless you fancy eating like a rabbit in the first place this isn’t going to do much for your fat loss.
Take up to four capsules per day.
It is good to spread out the dose across the course of the day to ensure our body has a constant supply of ingredients to process rather than peaks and troughs.
If you get too much of certain ingredients, that what the body doesn’t need at the time will be wasted and you will not feel the benefit.
Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilizing Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.
What the body doesn’t require at the time will let it pass. Thus, a higher chance of waste and less benefits.
It is better to have a continued trickle effect.
This results in a daily dose of 516mg which is very low when compared to competitors.
This is marketed as a slimming aid rather than a fat burner, and after reading through the ingredients and doing the research, I can see why.
However, does it really have any benefit at all?
Let’s take a analytic view on the ingredients, a couple I have never come across before.
Boldo has been used by humans for centuries according to the fossils found with human teeth marks.
This is a leaf which may have a few medicinal purposes, nothing is really confirmed though.
Although, for purposes of losing weight, the potential this can offer is releasing excess fluid from your body.
Butternut seems to work on similar principles to Boldo, in that it helps relieve any constipation you may have.
Essentially, this is going to help you get rid of any shit in your body, so technically, you will lose weight. For a brief period of time.
$8.54 / £6
So, let’s look a bit deeper in to these ingredients.
There are a further two ingredients that I have heard of and seen numerous times in supplements.
Dandelion seems to be full of vitamins that may benefit a guinea pig but for humans, it doesn’t really seem to offer much hope.
Bladderwrack is one of those ingredients that seems to be used for all ailments and have mystical benefits, mystical because nothing has been proven by modern science.
Let’s also just recap on the previous ingredients we looked at, too.
Technically, they can help us lose weight, just as a jockey may wish to lose as much weight before a race, or a boxer would before weigh in to make the grade.
However, this is not sustainable weight loss.
This isn’t fat loss either, it is purely fluid loss. And, that fluid needs to be replenished otherwise you’ll become dehydrated.
So, it may help if you want to look like a prune for about 60 minutes, but it isn’t a safe or sustainable way to lose weight.
This only has four ingredients when it is stripped back. That is very few, especially when two have no proven benefit and two just make you dehydrated.
Which brings us on to the number of ingredients that are missing, yet are proven to be beneficial at burning fat…
- Green Tea
- Green Coffee extract
- Vitamin C
My Adios Herbal Slimming Aid Review Conclusion:
In short, only 50% of the included ingredients are beneficial to weight loss.
However, then matters get worse…
Because, these two ingredients merely allow you to temporarily lose water weight, not sustained fat loss.
At best you will lose some water weight, at worst you will become dehydrated.
You are certainly not losing fat.
Anything else worth adding to this review..?
This has a very lose daily dose, there’s a small number of ingredients, and the omission of other ingredients which are proven and readily available in other fat burners.
This may only really be helpful for someone needing a quick loss of temporary weight.
Yes, there are some other products such as those in our top 3 fat burners are more attractive propositions.
