My Gen X Labs XABOL Testosterone Booster PCT Review

My Gen X Labs XABOL Testosterone Booster PCT Review First Look

With age creeping up and natural test levels creeping down it is imperative that we change our habits and daily routine to ensure that we can adjust our hormone levels to ensure that they are kept at an optimal level.

However, it is not always age that causes a drop in out testosterone levels.

If you are using anabolic steroids the steroids influx your body with synthetic hormones.

As a result, your body reacts by stopping produce its own testosterone recognizing that there is an excess circulation the blood stream.

Now, this is all fine and dandy when you are using the steroids, but then your cycle stops it means that your body is not producing its own testosterone.

And, it will not do so for quite a while before it recognizes that there’s a real deficit in your system.

In terms of fitness, with a drop in testosterone comes a reduction of muscle mass, loss of strength and an increase of fat mass.

What few people know is that avoiding a reduction in natural testosterone levels is important for overall health, not just building muscle and strength.

A reduction in testosterone can lead to the following problems:

  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Loss of strength
  • Increased risk of osteoporosis
  • A change in mood and outlook on life
  • Irratibility
  • Increase of fat mass
  • Reduced energy levels
  • Loss of libido

That means not only could you suffer from health problems but your hard won gains from your cycle could also diminish quickly.

This is where a PCT (post cycle therapy) can help.

It is essentially a natural testosterone booster that kick starts your natural testosterone production and should be taken immediately after your steroid cycle ends.

This way there will be the least impact possible on your hormone production.

In the past, when I have used prohormones and steroids I have always used TestoFuel because it contains nine proven ingredients that are able to stimulate more testosterone production after I recognized that my test levels had plummeted.

Therefore I am keen to see how this PCT from Gen X Labs may help.

What’s the science behind natural T-boosters?

If we take the principles just mentioned and elaborate further, there are reputable studies for many ingredients from respected sources that prove natural testosterone levels  can be increased when these ingredients are consumed.

These ingredients are not synthetic, either…

We are talking about vitamins such as Vitamin C or Vitamin D.

Mineral such as Magnesium or Zinc are also proven to stimulate more testosterone, and, studies show that if you are lacking these nutrients, you’re testosterone levels are likely to be low.

What an effective natural testosterone booster does is take a variety of proven ingredients, put them together generally in a pill in the amounts required for the most benefit and provide it to you in a convenient package.

Also ensure the following points are adhered to:

  • No proprietary blends
  • Adequate doses
  • All natural ingredients

Ingredients: The Science

So, let’s list through each ingredient and look at the associated studies:

Arimistane (Androst 3,5-dien-7, 17-dione)

Theoretically may be able to increase testosterone levels.

However, as no human or animal interventions have been conducted with Androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione we don’t actually know.

Coenzyme Q10

Our body makes CoQ10, and your cells use it to produce energy your body needs for cell growth and maintenance.

It also functions as an antioxidant, which protects the body from damage caused by harmful molecules.

Agaricus Bisporus

White button mushrooms to you and me, these are seen to be a aromatase inhibitor, therefore they reduce the production of estrogen which can maintain a higher testosterone level.

If a man suffers from too much estrogen they can get bitch tits – puffy nipples.

Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)

Full of vitamins but not a great deal of human research to suggest that it can suppress appetite or lower blood sugar levels.

It may be the rabbits favorite meal but unless you fancy eating like a rabbit in the first place this isn’t going to do much for your fat loss.

Tribulus

Once again, the old tribulus raises its ugly head.

The problem is that because this has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War people have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.

The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

In fact, in studies using elite professional Australian rugby players as participants Tribulus did not produce the large gains in strength or lean muscle mass that many manufacturers claim can be experienced.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia, TongKat Ali)

This is known as a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

Nettle Root

Good for reducing inflammation and an enlarged prostate but has no effect on testosterone.

Carduus Mar (Milk Thistle)

A great ingredient used to flush out and protect the liver as well as help repair cells but more required for anyone doing a course or Prohormones or oral anabolic steroids.

How To Take Gen X Labs XABOL Testosterone Booster PCT

Two capsules are to be taken daily.

It is recommended that we spread our doses evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and to ensure that if you get a large hit of ingredients it isn’t wasted if your body doesn’t require them.

Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilising Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.

A daily serving is 1650mg. This is pretty low and far from the doses offered by products like Prime Male.

Pros

There are four useful and proven ingredients in this supplement that are able to offer some benefit for when you have finished a steroid cycle.

However, remember that this is from a total of eight ingredients….it’s not looking too good.

We must also note that not one of these proven and effective ingredients does anything to help increase natural test levels, either.

These four ingredients are proven to help with the recovery and the damage that the steroids may have had on your body.

So, let’s run through them…

White button mushroom helps prevent a build up or an imbalance of estrogen which is the female sex hormone. Too much estrogen could lead to puffy nipples.

Nettle helps prevent prostate growth which could be a side effect of prolongued steroid use. It is also an anti-inflammatory. If you get too much inflammation this can lead to a reduction in testosterone and also increase the risk of obesity.

Milk Thistle helps repair any damage that may have occurred to the liver while on steroids, this is particularly helpful if you have been taking oral steroids.

Coenzyme Q10 helps repair any cell damage plus helps energy levels and growth.

Cons

For a start, the overall daily dose is not the best we have seen.

Then, this does form a proprietary blend.

If you are not familiar with a proprietary blend, watch the video below of me in my old garage gym.

If you have skipped the video, a proprietary blend essentially means that although we know which ingredients are included in the supplement, we have no idea of the individual breakdown of each ingredient.

Legally, the supplement company could literally include just trace amounts per ingredient and the rest being a low cost filler.

Just to repeat that, this is completely legal.

While not being too deterred by the initial lack of beneficial ingredients, let’s actually do a thorough talk through what is not going to be effective for stimulating testosterone production and recovery:

Eurycoma is a popular ingredient found in lots of test boosters which I find baffling, that is because it has no real body of proof to demonstrate that it will increase T levels in humans.

Tribulus, almost universally known as the original test boosting plant. Except that it doesn’t boost testosterone at all.

The world’s best selling lie.

Armistane theoretically can increase test levels but this has not been proven.

Dandelion has no proof that it can contribute to muscle recovery or testosterone production.

What Improvements Could Be Made?

There are a number of natural and fully proven ingredients available that are in the best test boosters that this omits.

That is a mistake and a huge oversight which is probably down to very little or no prior research before developing the supplement.

Therefore, let’s look at what other ingredients should be included in this product alongside the three beneficial ingredients we identified:

  • DAA
  • D3
  • B6
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • C
  • Oyster
  • Fenugreek
  • Creatine
  • K2
  • Liv. 52

This is highlighted because when you consider the effective testosterone boosters such as TestoFuel contain 9 proven ingredients to raise test levels.

This daily dose in not competitive, either.

At just over 1500mg it is less than half of the content that we would find with other proven test boosters.

My Gen X Labs XABOL Testosterone Booster PCT Review Conclusion

The main issue I have with  this PCT is that it does not contain any ingredients whatsoever that increases testosterone levels.

An, when you have finished a course of anabolic steroids you will need a supplement to kick start you test levels so you do not suffer from low testosterone and lose your muscle, not to mention help prevent you from feeling depressed and to stop you losing your libido.

This omits every proven testosterone stimulating ingredient there is!

Only 50% of this supplement actually offers some benefit.

Any final words for this review..?

As a PCT this contains four ingredients from eight that will help with recovery, but nothing for increasing testosterone.

Therefore, at present, you should check out what the better options, here.
