Health Solution Longjack Testosterone Booster Review First Look:

I went back to work for the first time today since being off ill with Gastroenteritis.

There were remarks of me definitely losing weight. This concerned me.

It is so difficult to gain size and strength and then to maintain it for just an illness to come along and wipe you out is heartbreaking.

This means, now, somehow, in the midst of me moving house in 2 days I need to smash some weights and get back in to a lifting routine.

However, the very weights I want to hit will all be dismantled for the journey across a couple of states. Along with packing all of my CD’s (yes, I still have them) plus my other furniture.

Therefore, to get back in to the shape and realize the strength I had pre-sickness I want a supplement to help.

I have already established what I think is best by the effects they had on me but I am always looking for better, if there’s something else that can give me an edge, I am on it.

Now the only initial problem I can see with this is that it looks like a children’s toy or something for a child with its little figure on the front.

Now, a closer look will clarify that the man is holding a tape measure…yep, it is now starting to get a little more adult in its nature.

However, that initial impression sticks and it would probably make you just glance and carry on until you found something that either looked a bit more medical or just plain mutant mental.


Zinc Oxide – This mineral is great for boosting testosterone, it is necessary for reactions in your brain and promotes the production of both testosterone and growth hormone. The amount here is about half of that found in a good ZMA product.

What is strange here is that they use Zinc Oxide, I have looked at some research on rats which would suggest that supplementation of Zinc Oxide can cause immune toxicity.

Tongkat Ali – Eurycoma (LongJack) is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

However, there is a lack of evidence for testosterone boosting in humans, although some very limited evidence in animals.

Maca Root – This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all. No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

L-Arginine – This is found in many pre workout supplements or products designed to make you more vascular.

L-Arginine opens up the blood vessels and arteries to assist with blood flow, nothing really to do with testosterone but may assist with any impotency issues that are not helping you attain that hot chick in the gym who is 15 years your junior.

However, you will require 5g per day alone!

Panex Ginseng – This form of Ginseng is the most highly researched. There’s lots of evidence which suggest cognitive function, mood and immunity is increased.

There is evidence for better erections and an increase in testosterone production for infertile men.

Eleutherococcus Senticosus (Siberian Ginseng) – Whilst there is evidence that this can actually help treat herpes and reduce the severity of cold and flu, there is very little solid evidence to reliably suggest this helps increase testosterone or increase strength.

This is where transparency becomes severely clouded as we are hit with a proprietary blend which means we are not entirely sure of the ingredient profile breakdown:

Sarsaparilla – Athletes sometimes use sarsaparilla as a steroid for performance enhancement. Some supplement makers claim that chemicals (sterols) in sarsaparilla can be converted to anabolic steroids like testosterone. But this is a false claim.

Pumpkin Seed – Pumpkin seeds are great for Magnesium which is good for testosterone production.

Muira Puama – No real scholarly studies or evidence available from reliable sources that would suggest that this stimulates testosterone production.

This may help with improving sexual function when combined with Ginkgo but other than that there’s not much to go on.

Nettle – Good for reducing inflammation and an enlarged prostate but has no effect on testosterone.

Cayenne Pepper – The hot and spicy taste of cayenne pepper comes from capsaicin, a compound found in many hot peppers. Capsaicin is known to boost metabolism, causing the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel. This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout.

Licorice – May have many various uses, the main being to sooth heartburn and inflamed skin, but for the rest there’s really a lack of evidence to deem it useful.

Astragalus – Bit of an all-rounder, this antioxidant helps protect the body against various stresses, including physical, mental, or emotional stress.

Avena Sativa (Oat) – This is a type of oat that has been seen to raise luteinzing hormones in the body, which are a precursor to testosterone and growth hormone.

Not a great deal of real, heavy evidence if anything at all but the hallmarks of something good are there. A bit of a gamble. In plenty of T-Boosters that do not work.

Catauba – Used to heighten sexual arousal and treat male sexual performance problems.

Oyster Powder – Research of this mollusc has shown that is aids your body to increase testosterone.

Orchic Substance – Claimed to help stimulate testosterone in men. However, there is currently no evidence to support this claim.

Tribulus – Once marveled, now known to have no effect on testosterone levels, by now supplement manufacturers should really let go.  Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

It also failed to provide any benefit hen tested on a bunch of professional Australian rugby players.

Boron – Boron is great for the older lifter or those doing high weight low rep work as it helps to reduce inflammation, something that is found in PrimeMale, which I am a fan of.

Also helps raise testosterone levels.


We’re instructed to take 2 capsules a day, this is not entirely optimal for best results.

It is recommended that we have at least 4 tablets spread evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone.

A daily serving is a mediocre 2170mg. It is not up there with better products such as Prime Male.

Effects & Benefits:

In today’s economic climate it is good to see that this is manufactured in the USA and not necessarily somewhere like China.

It is also good to see Boron which acts as an anti-inflammatory.

Too much inflammation is the cause behind chronic disease such as obesity but it also lowers testosterone levels. Seeing this means that we can be assured to some extent inflammation will be tackled.

Zinc is something we are usually enthralled to see, however, in this format, it seems to cause immune toxicity which no-one wants.

L-Arginine again is a good ingredient to see but it is only effective in levels of 5000mg – this falls short at just 500mg.

Panax Ginseng can increase testosterone levels in men, this is found in products such as TestoFuel which I regard as being the best testosterone booster.

We can then delve in to ingredients such as pumpkin powder and note that it provides high levels of Magnesium which is a great testosterone booster.

Nettle is another anti-inflammatory, it is good to help fight off inflammation which can lower testosterone levels.

Cayenne Pepper can imitate the effects of higher testosterone by helping shed fat by thermogenic effect, however, it is merely that an imitation. This is often found in fat burners.

Astragalus can help reduce stress and act as an anti-oxidant. While Catauba is seen to help with any male sexual performance issues.

Oyster powder is found in TestoFuel as it is able to increase testosterone levels.


The proprietary blend also makes me lose further confidence in a product that I thought looked like it was marketed at children.

Then we have the Tribulus which appears everywhere except on studies proving it is beneficial to muscle building.

We’re provided with Zinc but in a form which can cause immune toxicity and then underdosed L-Arginine massively to the point it will not offer any benefit.

I find it quit astonishing then they try to imitate the effects of a higher level of testosterone by trying to shed fat by including Cayenne.

However, we also have Tongkat Ali, Siberian Ginseng, Maca, Sarsaparilla, Muira, Licorice, Avena Sativa and Orchic which are just not proven to help stimulate testosterone at all.

On one hand this looks to have some good ingredients that are able to benefit us.

However, they then can be turned around so easily either by a lack of dosing, an incorrect form or being included within a proprietary blend which is a massive scam.

There are 8 further ingredients filling this supplement up with ingredients that are not proven to be effective nor beneficial in increasing testosterone levels.

We are only given 3 steadfast testosterone boosting ingredients here and they all fall within the proprietary blend which means we have no idea if an adequate dose is provided to us.

This is risky at best.
