My Sports Research Suntheanine® L-Theanine Nootropic Review
As Nootropics are coming more and more popular for people wanting to restore a bit of clarity and improve concentration.
I thought it was reasonable to start testing a few of these products to see what direction they are heading and also to offer a bit of direction for people who may not be quite au fait with the products or ingredients.
As with all supplements, there is a lot of crap out there that looks and sounds amazing but under the well branded wrapper it could be just a waste of money.
What Are Nootropics?
Nootropics, also known as smart drugs, are products that help stimulate and increase cognitive function, with particular focus on executive functions, memory, focus, creativity and motivation.
People are learning that relying on cups of coffee and tea isn’t too healthy and isn’t always the answer, I have been using MindLab Pro recently and whilst being initially skeptical I was pleasantly surprised with the results and have been taking them ever since.
There are studies available for all to see that people with a higher IQ tend to earn more than their less gifted counterparts, now this screams common sense, however, plenty of people do not reach their full potential and fall in to the old trap of routine even with a good standard of intelligence.
These nootropics will not make you smarter so to speak, but they can help lift the fog and aid with concentration and focus.
From scholars, truck drivers, dentists, soldiers to machine operators, we may all be able to benefit. You can read a bit more about them here.
My Sports Research Suntheanine® L-Theanine Nootropic Review First Look:
My days used to be much longer than they are now.
I used to rise at 6am and then drive two hours to work in a daze. Upon returning home I would be lucky if I got home at 8pm.
Then it would be an evening of trying to lift weights or write for this website.
Each day was a struggle filled with exhaustion and foggy thoughts.
Since moving much closer to work I still have a similar routine but now I try to cycle as much as possible to work.
Either way, my days are much more relaxed and stress free.
However, on occasion I still feel like my mind is muddy and I cannot focus or concentrate properly at work.
I keep darting from project to project or thought to thought and never really accomplish anything.
Hence why a nootropic can offer real value to your like because when you feed your brain with the correct nutrients it can perform much better.
My friend is a neurologist, he likes Mindlab Pro but I wanted to see how this would preform based on the headline ingredient.
What Effect Will This Have?
Theanine is great for reducing stress, reducing anxiety and can help you fall asleep helping your body recharge and grow.
If you also supplement this with Caffeine it can help with any IQ tests you wish to randomly enter.
This only contains one ingredient; while it offers some great, resolutions to problem people will suffer from which can cause lots of stress, it also omits the one key ingredient it works so well with – Caffeine.
This seems a shame as that would offer an additional element and another positive attribute.
While we are discussing omitted ingredients, how about the plethora of other ingredients that are included in the best nootropics but are not present here?
Supplements such as Mind Lab Pro provide eleven proven ingredients that can really boost your overall mental performance, one of those ingredients is Theanine.
So while Theanine is not a bad ingredient and this is not a bad supplement it just doesn’t offer the performance other nootropic supplements do.
My Sports Research Suntheanine® L-Theanine Nootropic Review Conclusion:
This supplement only includes one ingredient to improve mental performance, now, this ingredient is effective and proven to work.
However, the supplement does not include any further ingredients which can improve cognitive function any further.
That’s the problem, up against other nootopic supplements such as Mind Lab Pro this is severely lacking in the performance stakes due to it omitting additional ingredients that are proven to provide the nutrients that your brain requires to perform optimally.
