My Truth Nutraceuticals TESTRO-X Testosterone Booster Review

My Truth Nutraceuticals TESTRO-X Testosterone Booster Review First Look

It is a Sunday and I have come in to the office at work to catch up with a few things that I need to do.

It is such as shame that in the day-to-day environment I cannot actually quietly get on with my normal tasks because of so many distractions.

So, being here today is blissful peace. If I could, I would probably work nights, and I used to work nights by choice when I was at University when we had summer break.

However, this weekend has not seen a great deal of physical activity. Instead I have been trying to catch up on sleep.

Hopefully the weather is good tomorrow and I will be able to cycle in to work for the first week of going part time.

However, I am looking to lift more weight in the gym and I am looking to feel less fatigue, something that can be difficult when there are children running around the house.

Whatever you goal, testosterone, or maximising your testosterone levels will help.

This is not actually particularly well know.

Men suffer from the male version of the menopause, it is called the andropause.

Yet, the menopause hits women hard and at once causing a noticeable physical and psychological changes.

Andropause happens over a much longer period of time which makes the changes quite unnoticeable… a bit like cliffs being eroded over time by the ocean.

That is not to say the effects are not as dire…

A reduction in testosterone can lead to the following problems:

  • Loss of muscle mass
  • Loss of strength
  • Increased risk of osteoporosis
  • A change in mood and outlook on life
  • Irratibility
  • Increase of fat mass
  • Reduced energy levels
  • Loss of libido

That means not only could you suffer from health problems but your hard won fitness levels can also diminish.

Therefore, it is key that your natural levels of testosterone are kept to a healthy and sustained level for optimal benefit.

Do not just think natural test boosters are for bodybuilders and gym freaks, men of all ages can benefit.

What’s the science behind natural T-boosters?

If we take the principles just mentioned and elaborate further, there are reputable studies for many ingredients from respected sources that prove natural testosterone levels  can be increased when these ingredients are consumed.

These ingredients are not synthetic, either…

We are talking about vitamins such as Vitamin C or Vitamin D.

Mineral such as Magnesium or Zinc are also proven to stimulate more testosterone, and, studies show that if you are lacking these nutrients, you’re testosterone levels are likely to be low.

What an effective natural testosterone booster does is take a variety of proven ingredients, put them together generally in a pill in the amounts required for the most benefit and provide it to you in a convenient package.

Also ensure the following points are adhered to:

  • No proprietary blends
  • Adequate doses
  • All natural ingredients

Ingredients: The Science

So, let’s list through each ingredient and look at the associated studies:

BioPerine/Piper Nigrum

The extract of piperine, called BioPerine®  in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine®  significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

The studies say that Theanine is great for reducing stress, reducing anxiety as well as helping alleviating insomnia.

If caffeine is present too, IQ scores have known to increase – so grap a cup of coffee, quick.

Forslean (Coleus forskohlii)

Forskolin is a chemical found in the roots of the plant Plectranthus barbatus.

This plant has been used since ancient times to treat heart disorders such as high blood pressure and chest pain (angina), as well as respiratory disorders such as asthma, it can also assist with reducing fat mass in obese people.

However, no reliable scientific information that shows Coleus forskohlii extracts taken by mouth are effective.

A small molecule structurally similar to glucose that is involved in cellular signalling.

It appears to be an effective anxiolytic at higher doses, and is quite effective in treating insulin resistance

This seems to offer improved sleep benefits and improve cognition.

However, the doses required are extremely high.

A 2011 study looked at the effects of magnesium supplementation on the test levels of athletes and sedentary people after exercise, and found that both groups had an increase of free and total testosterone levels.

Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera)

Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues.

So the question is, are you infertile?

If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

However, you are probably in look because only 12% of men throughout the whole world are infertile, and even then, that is a generous estimate by the World Health Authority.

Studies show that this has a link with healthy testosterone production.

Boron is great for the older lifter or those doing high weight low rep work as it helps to reduce inflammation, something that is found in PrimeMale, which I am a fan of.

Also helps raise testosterone levels.

How To Take Testro-X

Three capsules are to be taken daily.

It is recommended that we spread our doses evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and to ensure that if you get a large hit of ingredients it isn’t wasted if your body doesn’t require them.

Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilising Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.

A daily serving is an insubstantial 1110mg.

This is under 50% of the doses offered by products like Prime Male which are formulated for the older gentlemen.

This is laden with nine ingredients which can, potentially, provide us with lots of natural testosterone production.

However, that is only if they are proven to do so.

Magnesium is a vital ingredients and mineral to have if you want to increase natural testosterone levels. Science has proven that.

Zinc is another vital mineral that has offered similar scientific results. Low Zinc equals low test.

Boron is not as popular as it really should be. It helps reduce inflammation which itself can lower testosterone levels but Boron actually increases those male sex hormone levels, too. As effective as a double ender!

Ashwagandha has shown to help men who are infertile increase their natural levels of test.

Theanine has demonstrated that it can reduce stress levels. It can also reduce insomnia.

We need both a reduction in stress and the ability to sleep well to increase natural test.

Glycine also seems to have positive effects on increasing sleep.

Inositol and the studies surrounding this molecule may help with fat loss.

After that breakdown of ingredients there’s still development required if this was to be a groundbreaking natural test booster, which, at this point, it definitely is not.

Read below to find out more…

Coleus has not been proven to be effective if ever taken by mouth.

Glycine seems only to be effective when taken in doses that are massively inconvenient, not the 200mg provided here.

Then we have Ashwagandha…

Ashwagandha is both good and bad.

If you are infertile Ashwagandha is useful and effective.

If you do not all within that 12% of the global male population, and 88% of males around the world do not, then Ashwagandha is not going to offer any benefit.

Bit of a niche ingredient when many others could have been included.

At, that sums up much of the other issues that we have with this test booster from truth Nutraceuticals.

It has a low daily dose, plus there are ingredients present that would be better being replaced with other ingredients.

Ingredients that are solid and proven to work at stimulating natural test secretion if you are fertile or not.

This is also quite expensive at nearly $55.

What Improvements Could Be Made?

So, what would we do to improve Testro-X?

We would ramp up the dose from just over 1100mg to 3000mg.

We would then replace ingredients such as Glysine, Inositol, Ashwagandha with proven ingredients that are focused on increasing test production.

Our research will tell you there are at least nine ingredients that are proven to raise test levels that are missing:

  • DAA
  • D3
  • B6
  • B12
  • Vit. C
  • Oyster
  • Creatine
  • K2
  • Fenugreek

This is highlighted because when you consider the effective testosterone boosters such as TestoFuel contain at least 9 proven ingredients.

My Truth Nutraceuticals TESTRO-X Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion

This is a product that is lacking proven and research driven ingredients and a dose that is found in other natural test boosters.

There are some good ingredients included, but there’s also a hell of a lot missing.

Too much is missing to make this a ‘go to’ supplement when looking to increase our test levels, especially with many alternatives available that offer such strong performances.

There is a bit more work to do here before it can be fully recommended.

Any final words for this review..?

It needs a much higher dose and more focused and proven ingredients added.
