With so much going on at the moment with work and my house being renovated plus a number of vacations looming, it can be hard to find the time to have a proper rigid and beneficial workout regime that you can stick to week in and week out.

Therefore, I always want to ensure that I can make the most of what gym time I get, with this in mind I want to ensure my testosterone levels are high to help accelerate my strength and growth development.

Not only that, but having high testosterone levels can keep my mood in check so I feel good as well as ensure my libido is high…which it, ahem, is.

Being 33, I am fully aware of the fact that my natural testosterone levels will be depleting, this is entirely noticeable too.

No longer am I able to hit the weights week in and week out as well as continue playing rugby. My recovery times have slammed compared to when I was in my twenties.

In fact, it took me by surprise. My energy levels reduced too.

This is why I regularly use a testosterone booster such as Prime Male which keeps me feeling good while helping me progress in the gym.

However, I am always on the look out to see what other supplements on the market may be able to offer more performance.

So, looking at this testosterone booster from Raw Honest named TESTOLIFT I was intrigued to see what ingredients were included and how they could help.

Ingredients:

Panex Ginseng – This form of Ginseng is the most highly researched. There’s lots of evidence which suggest cognitive function, mood and immunity is increased.

There is evidence for better erections and an increase in testosterone production for infertile men.

Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) – Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues. So the question is, are you infertile?

If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

However, you are probably in look because only 12% of men throughout the whole world are infertile, and even then, that is a generous estimate by the World Health Authority.

Maca Root – This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all.

No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

Tribulus – Once again, the old tribulus raises its ugly head. And its head is fucking ugly. Like a medieval gargoyle.

The problem is that because this has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War people have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.

The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

In fact, in studies using elite professional Australian rugby players as participants Tribulus did not produce the large gains in strength or lean muscle mass that many manufacturers claim can be experienced.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Horny Goat Weed – Epimedium, the suspected active component of horny goat weed, appears to act as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, similar to some drugs used for erectile dysfunction.

It does not, however, stimulate testosterone production.

Hawthorn Berries – At best this ingredient may help with reducing inflammation and blood flow but there’s no concrete evidence to be found regarding increasing testosterone levels.

Every article relating to testosterone increases with Hawthorn berries is on a site wanting you to buy them.

Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia, TongKat Ali) – Is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

Dose:

The recommended dose is just 2 pills per day.

This means we get 1340mg per day which is not nearly adequate nor competitive.

That is disappointing when you consider the best testosterone boosters offer over twice that figure.

It is better to have at least 4 pills and for them to be taken over the course of the day to ensure that your body gets a trickle of the nutrients to work with.

That’s if the ingredients are worth bothering with…

Effects & Benefits:

There’s 8 ingredients and no proprietary blend which sounds positive.

However, just 2 ingredients can help with raising testosterone and that is Panax Ginseng and Ashwagandha, but you need to be infertile for it to work.

It is this version of Ginseng that is found in TestoFuel. However, that is literally where the similarities end.

Negatives:

Having just 1 effective ingredient included to stimulate more testosterone levels is not exactly promising.

Then we have the low daily dose plus 7 ingredients that offer nothing to help with increased testosterone production.

Unless of course you are infertile, which according to the World Health Organisation only 12% of the global male population are.

This is missing an extraordinarily large amount of proven testosterone boosting ingredients found in the best testosterone boosters.

It also retails for $59.95 which is a lot for not much at all.

Rawhonest TESTOLIFT Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:

This unfortunately lacks in so many areas that it is hard to consider that this will be useful for anything, unless you are infertile but even then, with just 2 ingredients able to help it is hardly groundbreaking.

Not only does it omit excellent, effective and proven ingredients often found in supplements such as TestoFuel it also lacks the high dose and enough pills to make it beneficial.

Effective testosterone boosters should include:

  • DAA
  • D3
  • B6
  • K2
  • Fenugreek
  • B12
  • Oyster
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Boron

Note that not one of the above ingredients are included in this product.

With that in mind, it would seem wholly irresponsible to even consider this, buy something effective instead.
