My Better Bodies T8 Hardcore Black Pre Workout Review
My Better Bodies T8 Hardcore Black Pre Workout Review First Look:
It’s been a long week. I have had numerous Christmas parties, numerous meals out and booze.
Last night was a French dinner I cooked for myself and the girlfriend with a bottle of red and some TV in bed.
I think we were both asleep by 11pm.
However, this morning, I am ready to hit the gym and grab some breakfast.
So that’s what I did, beforehand though I wanted a pre workout supplement to stimulate me from my Saturday morning slumber and get me fired up for a bit of a shindig later on this afternoon involving lots of meat.
The first thing I noticed about this was the metallic sachet which didn’t contain a water soluble powder but pills.
I always prefer the sachet to mix up with water for the extra hydration available, however, sometimes pills are just a bit more convenient.
Overall the packet does look a bit low rent and is a world away from the eye catching offerings fro the likes of 4GAUGE.
Ingredients:
RELATED: We’ve tried and tested the best pre-workout supplement HERE!
Beta Vulgaris (Beet) – Beet can also increase nitric oxide in the body. This chemical can dialate blood vessels and was popular with athletes at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
This is also found in 4 Gauge which is rated as the best pre workout, however, it is not commonly found in many others.

L-Tyrosine – Tyrosine is taken for depression, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the inability to stay awake (narcolepsy), and improving alertness following sleep deprivation.
It is also used for stress, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS).

Taurine – It has been touted that Taurine can help mental performance.
Early clinical research suggested that taurine, in combination with caffeine, glucuronolactone, and B vitamins, can improve attention and reasoning in adolescents, but does not improve memory.
However, there is insufficient evidence to prove this is always the case.

Arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG) – Tests on supplementation draw no real benefit that would not be found from resistance training itself.

L-Citrulline – This is used as a sports performance and cardiovascular health supplement. L-Citrulline supplementation results in reduced fatigue and improved endurance for both aerobic and anaerobic prolonged exercise.
An increase in growth hormone has been noted with exercise, but not at rest.
L-citrulline boosts nitric oxide production in the body. Nitric oxide helps your arteries relax and work better, which improves blood flow throughout your body.
Supplementing can help lower blood pressure in people with pre-hypertension.
This is often found in the best pre workouts.
To supplement L-citrulline to enhance sports performance, take 6,000 – 8,000 mg of citrulline malate about an hour before exercise.

Creatine – A well regarded supplement overall!
Supplementation increases creatine storage and promotes a faster regeneration of adenosine triphosphate between high intensity exercises.
These improved outcomes will increase performance and promote greater training adaptations.

Dose:
Two pills before exercise and two afterwards.
This would total 2100mg – this is not very much at all.
This does not compare very well to many of the best pre workout supplements which will offer over 15,000mg.
Benefits & Effects:
Beet, Creatine, Tyrosine and Citrulline can theoretically improve physical performance.
These ingredients can be found in the leading pre workout supplements due to their proven abilities.
However, they do need to be dosed adequately to offer any kind of benefit.
How Did It Feel?
I didn’t really feel any benefits.
This was really disappointing.
Video:
Negatives:
It’s disappointing to see so few ingredients included and also see that two of the six are not proven to be effective.
Not only that, it is disappointing to see such low amounts of each ingredient included.
This means that of the proven ingredients which are included and available will not have the desired effect due to the low dose.
I couldn’t really feel anything at all which is a huge disappointment because four ingredients do have the potential to help improve physical performance.
It is also lacking many ingredients that we personally would not dare omit.
A missed opportunity in our eyes.
My Better Bodies T8 Hardcore Black Pre Workout Review Conclusion:
This has some great headline ingredients included.
Yet, they are not offered in high enough doses to be effect or even worth bothering with.
That leaves us with an ineffective pre workout supplement.
Then it misses out on some of the other great ingredients that could really help increase your PB.
Because of that, there are far superior products available due to this omitting a large number of proven ingredients that are present in many of the best pre workout supplements
Due to the limited effects, the fact that it is missing the following ingredients and not being dosed adequately I would not suggest that you bother with this pre workout when there’s alternatives available:
- Coconut water
- Theanine
- Rhodiola
- Carnitine
- B12
- B6
- Zinc
- Caffeine
There is a better product than this that will get you fired up and cause hell in your chosen sport.
