My BSN Endo Rush Pre Workout Review

My BSN Endo Rush Pre Workout Review

My BSN Endo Rush Pre Workout Review First Look:

So, in a vein effort to increase my lifts I snaffled this pre workout sachet praying it would help me get over a lull.

I cycled home in blzzard conditions questioning my every ounce of worth as sharp, frozen flakes of snow cut in to my eyeballs and whipped my bare legs.

For then a gritting truck to pepple dash my legs further.

As you can imagine, after 9 miles of this relentless and foreboding journey home on my bicycle, when I climbed the last incline and trudged through my front door you can imagine my physical and mental well being wasn’t in the best of states.

However, wet clothes off, grit and dirt washed away I quickly ate a pot noodle (easily digested) and mixed this pre workout supplement from BSN with cold water and chugged it back.

It tasted delicious and at that point I was pleased with my choice.

I opened up the trap door to my basement gym approximately 15-20 minutes later and braced myself for the impeding doom…

RELATED: We’ve tried and tested the best pre-workout supplement HERE!

Niacinamide (Vit B3) –  Higher amounts of niacin can improve cholesterol levels and lower cardiovascular risks and maybe symptoms for Alzheimer’s .

However, the jury is out on these real benefits.

Caffeine – It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form of caffeine so always look out for it.

This is found in 4 Gauge which is the best pre-workout.

It is also found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

Black Pepper / Piper Nigrum (BioPerine) – The extract of piperine, called BioPerine®  in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine®  significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

L-Arginine – This is found in many pre workout supplements or products designed to make you more vascular.

L-Arginine opens up the blood vessels and arteries to assist with blood flow, nothing really to do with testosterone but may assist with any impotency issues that are not helping you attain that hot chick in the gym who is 15 years your junior.

However, you will require 5g per day alone!

Euphoria Longana (Dimocarpus Longan) – There’s not enough evidence to suggest Longan fruit as a recommended option for anything although it might be a useful functional food to ingest for cognitive purposes.

Calcium Glycerophosphate – A study on rats concludes that it is of considerable importance of greater disposition of calcium in the skeleton.

Therefore, it is good for bone and teeth development.

However, this was tested on rats and injected, not an oral dose.

Beta-alanine  – Supplementation of this non essential amino acid aids the production of carnosine. That’s a compound that plays a role in muscle endurance in high-intensity exercise.

That said, studies have not exactly been positive nor entirely conclusive.

L-Citrulline – This is used as a sports performance and cardiovascular health supplement. L-Citrulline supplementation results in reduced fatigue and improved endurance for both aerobic and anaerobic prolonged exercise.

An increase in growth hormone has been noted with exercise, but not at rest.

L-citrulline boosts nitric oxide production in the body.

Nitric oxide helps your arteries relax and work better, which improves blood flow throughout your body.

Supplementing can help lower blood pressure in people with pre-hypertension.

This is often found in the best pre workouts.

To supplement L-citrulline to enhance sports performance, take 6,000 – 8,000 mg of citrulline malate about an hour before exercise.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) – Pantothenic acid, as with other B vitamins are able to convert your food in to energy.

They’re also able to help you body use fats and proteins effectively, notwithstanding the creation of red blood cells which carry oxygen to your muscles.

Lindera Aggregata – 4 alkaloids can be found in this herbal plant. Boldine is one such alkaloid which is seen as a powerful antioxidant.

Further studies seem to show that it has stimulation effects similar to Yohimbe yet minus the high blood pressure and anxiety.

Yohimbe is also illegal in a number of Western countries.

Creatine – A well regarded supplement overall!

Supplementation increases creatine storage and promotes a faster regeneration of adenosine triphosphate between high intensity exercises.

These improved outcomes will increase performance and promote greater training adaptations.

Provided in the best pre workout we have tried, 4GAUGE.

Dose:

One sachet before your workout.

This would total 16.5mg – which is a good amount.

In fact it compares well to many of the best pre workout supplements which will offer over 15,000mg.

Pros:

There are a number of good headline ingredients that spark our attention.

Ingredients such as:

  • Citrulline
  • Caffeine
  • Arginine
  • B5
  • Lindera Aggregata
  • Creatine

So, on the face of it, and looking at this sachet, we could be certain that this will be an effective and useful supplement to take prior to a hard session in the gym or on the field.

That’s because Citrulline like Caffeine can increase performance.

Arginine dilates the blood vessels to allow freer flowing blood cells which carry oxygen to the organs and muscles.

B5 actually uses fats and proteins for energy but helps create new blood cells.

This also tasted very nice, it was easy to drink and mixed well with water.

Cons?

When I drank this I immediately felt excessive tingling and weird sensations in my mouth, it wasn’t unpleasant but much more apparent than other pre workout supplements I have used which contain Beta-Alanine.

Overall, I felt more awake which was good and I increased my deadlifts and getting back to my previous weight lifted.

However, my bench is still suffering.

Overall, while I didn’t feel tired which was miracle considering my treacherous bicycle ride home, I didn’t notice or feel any increase in focus, aggression, power or performance.

Cons:

This has some good headline ingredients as mentioned earlier.

However, there’s four ingredients that appear not to offer any real world benefit.

Plus, ingredients such as Arginine and Citrulline are under-dosed to be able to provide their proven performance effects.

Creatine does need to be supplemented daily for best results.

I also didn’t feel any real benefits other than feeling more awake. I certainly didn’t feel more focused, charged or powerful.

My BSN Endo Rush Pre Workout Review Conclusion:

This reads well if you glance at the ingredients and it also includes the ingredient Lindera Aggregata which isn’t quite as popular as it quite possibly should be.

However, a closer look weeds out the few ingredients that are not really adding value and then highlights the common error of under dosing other, otherwise proven and effective ingredients.

Plus, there’s many common and effective ingredients that are found in many other pre workout supplements that this omits, such as:

  • Coconut water
  • Theanine
  • Rhodiola
  • Carnitine
  • B12
  • B6
  • Zinc
  • Beet
  • Carnitine
  • Tyrosine

There is a better product than this that will get you fired up and cause hell in your chosen sport.
