Sparta Nutrition LAXO-50 Review // Is It Anabolic?

My Sparta Nutrition LAXO-50 Review First Look:

The image conjured up of a Sparta is that of a well built, athletic man with a beard (check) wearing not too much at all but does have a spear and a sword.

It is almost as if they were engineered for a Hollywood blockbuster.

So far, I have got the beard bit, I am partial to getting naked when drunk and on a rugby tour but the athletic and well built areas see me lacking.

Which is a shame. However, this is where Sparta Nutrition comes in.

I am pretty sure Gerard Butler who played the lead Sparta was voted the sexiest man in the world at some point so to get half as ripped as he was means a little bit of sexiness at least.

These guys have got their marketing wrapped up with this one. Calling yourself Sparta is a bold and confident move, so much so that we are here considering a purchase.

So the picture above represents what we are training for, right?

The bottle below, represents what we are lead to believe will help us get the above.

I think that makes sense.

Ingredients: The Science

5 alpha Hydroxy Laxogenin – 5-Hydroxy Laxogenin was discovered by an American scientist in 1996.

It was shown to possess an anabolic/androgenic ratio similar to one of the most efficient anabolic substances, in particular Anavar but without the side effects of liver toxicity or testing positive for steroidal therapy.

Until now there’s only one animal study about the function of 5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin. This is an old Russian research paper.

It is shown that 6-ketoderivatives of natural sapogenins display the anabolic activity and do not manifest any androgenic properties.

The compound 5a-Hydroxy Laxogenin produces an accelerated gain of weight in rats, and also an increase in the weight of the liver, heart, kidneys.

Dose:

This is a low overall dose and we are directed to only take up to 2 tablets daily.

This dose of 2 tablets amounts to 100mg. Which is not competitive with other products that we have tried and rated.

Damn, it isn’t even as much as what is offered by REDCON1 Halo which offers the exact same ingredient but twice as much. Bear in mind that REDCON Hale scored 0/5.

This means the daily dose is 100mg compared to 200mg offered by an alternative product which is exactly the same.

To clarify I have yet to see or try another supplement containing more that 200mg of Laxogenin other than REDCON1 and this product from Sparta Nutrition only offers 50% of that.

Pros:

5-Hydroxy Laxogenin may produce the same or very similar gains to that of Anavar.

However, this would not produce the same levels of toxicity as associated with Anavar.

If you are a rat, you may notice anabolic effects which can increase the size and weight of you (of course if you are a rat).

So in effect, you could take this and not have to worry about taking a cycle protection such as LIV-52. People talk about Milk Thistle but I believe that is not warranted protection from studies.

Cons:

There is only one study, and it isn’t on a human.

The one study that is available has shown that it can increase the size of the rats organs.

If you wanted to take a supplement that mimics the gains produced by a steroid I certainly wouldn’t want too mimic or look for similar gains offered by Anavar because it is crap.

I didn’t notice anything different after doing a cycle of Anavar. If you want a mild steroid or decent effects of steroids with few side you would be better looking at Epistane.

However, the availability of this depends on your location and Epistane will leave you shut down. It is liver toxic too but mild compared to some.

Sparta Nutrition LAXO-50 Review Conclusion:

I find it hard to believe in a product that has so little human trials and testing results.

5-Hydroxy Laxogenin was discovered over 20 years ago yet we are to see or hear so little about it even though it is supposed to produce the similar androgenic properties and results of Anavar which is a banned steroid.

Yet, the fitness industry which is known to hang on to anything that has a chance of giving us an edge barely makes a fuss.

Not only that, but just 1 human trial seems a little bit thin when there is so much at stake.

Especially when considering 5-Hydroxy Laxogenin is not supposed to produce any unwanted side effects such as liver toxicity.

But this is still not illegal?! It sounds like a dream come true.

Except for the fact Anavar is crap, the results from that were non-existent as will the results from this.

Even if it was good, even if it was effective I would not buy this product because it offers half as much of 5-Hydroxy Laxogenin per day compared to its competitor.
