Is Over Training A Real Issue? Can You See Good Muscular Growth With Shorter Training Cycles?
Some schools of thought believe that over training will hinder your performance.
Now, this is a tricky one to deal with.
Those who are adamant natty’s i.e they do not take any drugs/steroids believe that the body cannot survive daily punishment of the muscles.
People like Rich Piana and even Lee Priest is saying that there’s no such thing as over training, however, there is a thing as not enough sleep and not enough of the correct foods.
They are both steroid users though.
My Experience
My personal experiences with training offers both sides of the coin slightly.
Put it this way. If I play rugby on a Saturday, I cannot realistically hit the gym hard until Wednesday or Thursday. Provided I am not using anything.
This is because my muscles and joints are in agony. I walk like John Wain for most of the week.
When I was using Epistane which is a prohormone and effectively a steroid I could jump straight in to the squat rack come Monday.
I have tried Anavar too which is another oral steroid, however, that is not as strong as Epistane and I did not feel the recovery benefits that Epistane offered.
Steroids
So how does Lee Priests argument in this video stack up?
He talks about using Deca, Dianabol and Test so the steroids are there. He basically says that all top flight athletes or at least professional athletes will train for hours per day.
Lee says that people these days want the drugs, they want the success and muscles but they do not want the hard work hence why this ’45 minute’ rule for training has blown up.
So then, over training? No such thing on steroids but an issue when clean?
Well, my most humble and far from professional athlete experience would suggest so.
