Can women benefit from a testosterone booster?
Testosterone Boosters are mainly aimed at men.
However, less people know that women also have testosterone and it is also just as important.
Not many women realize that they have three sex hormones circulating their body.
One of them is testosterone.
Women also have about 50% of the testosterone in their 40’s compared to their 20’s.
So, like men, women also face a natural decline of the sex hormone.
This reduction of testosterone can cause a loss of libido and other sexual function, not to mention a loss of energy and muscle tone.
As a result, women can also use natural testosterone boosters.
“…research studies indicate that many women reporting low sexual function (loss of libido or sexual desire)…” [https://monash.edu/medicine/sphpm/depts-centres-units/womenshealth/info-4-health-practitioners/testosterone-for-women]
It helps to improve bodily function ranging from muscle to sexual stimulation as well as cognitive health.
Yet, there’s very few testosterone booster supplements available for the female market.
Can this test booster really help a woman increase her own natural testosterone production?
Who are J.armor?
There’s literally no information about J.armor online.
I cannot find anything. Only stuff about an Italian artist who features in the Metropolitan Art Museum.
That is not a good sign.
It could be anyone just selling these. That could affect quality control and safety.
What Are the Horny Goat Weed Claims?
J.armor state that this can improve the following areas of your life:
- Health
- Strength
- Confidence
- Sex
Initial Summary

Three ingredients may help with libido

Too many potential negative side effects
J.armor Ingredients: The Science
– Eurycoma Longifolia (Longjack, Tongkat Ali)
There are some claims that Longjack will increase testosterone levels.
Yet, there is very little evidence surrounding the claims.
There’s no human studies available proving that Longjack is effective when taken orally.
However, the most positive outcome from studies of Tongkat Ali is that it can help reduce day-to-day stress.
– Horny Goat Weed
Evidence would dictate that Horny Goat Weed does have a positive effect on male erectile dysfunction.
However, in studies it also seemed to lower testosterone levels.
Horny Goat Weed’s strength seems to lay in its ability to help nervous tissue grow and develop rather than having any effect on hormone levels.
This would suggest that any test boosters including Horny Goat Weed is merely mimicking the effects of higher testosterone levels by helping with erections.
This is because morning erections in men are a sign of healthy testosterone levels. [1]
– Maca
Maca is often found in testosterone boosters claiming to help increase natural testosterone.
However, studies have shown that men who have been administered with 1500mg and 3000mg of Maca did not see a rise in testosterone levels.
However, it does improve sexual desire. [2]
– Saw Palmetto
Saw Palmetto has no evidence that it can increase testosterone.
When it was tested to establish how it may effect sexual arousal and desire the results were negative.
Therefore Saw Palmetto has no positive effect on either testosterone levels or sexual desire regardless of manufacturer claims.
There are also warnings regarding its safety for the liver and pancreas.
Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as it can be unsafe. [3]
– Tribulus Terrestris
The many tests on Tribulus have found no increases in testosterone levels.
It has failed to increase natural testosterone levels. Research shows that it does not increase physical performance. [4] [5] [6]
– Polypodium Vulgare
There’s very little information available regarding Polypodium Vulgare.
Much of the online content surrounds Polypodium Leucotomos, yet they are not the same.
Polypodium Vulgare does actually have some medicinal uses.
It seems to be an effective heart tonic by purifying the heart muscle.
It can also help treat epilepsy while also relieving coughs.
Yet, there is nothing available that states it can increase testosterone levels or sexual function. [7]
– Muira Puama
This is traditionally used to increase and improve sexual function.
However, clinical studies have yet to find any truth behind these claims.
On the flip side, scientists have discovered that it does appear to improve cognitive function.
For best effects a person needs around 1000 – 1500mg per day.
That said, human studies are few and far between so this is merely a suggestion. [8]
– Arginine
Arginine is found in many products that require an increase of blood flow.
This could be in testosterone boosters or products marketed to stimulate sexual activity. That is because in a state of arousal more blood rushes to the genitals.
Higher blood flow is also useful for pre workout products, too. Thus the increase flow of blood can transport more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and organs.
However, science dictates that oral supplementation of Arginine may not be very reliable. [9]
– Panax Ginseng
Pananx Ginseng does seem to have a number of benefits.
It can help increase testosterone in men who are infertile and seems to help fight fatigue. In turn this helps improve cognitive function.
There are slightly promising signs that Panax Ginseng can reduce the symptoms of menopause related libido issues.
Panax Ginseng also appears to improve people’s feelings of well being and happiness. [10]
How To Take J.armor
It is recommended that we take two capsules daily with food.
We would advise that it is better to spread the dose out over the course of the day.
This ensures our body has a constant supply of nutrients to work with.
This will prevent peaks and troughs.
If you supply your body with lots of the same nutrients at once it will pass what is not required.
Thus, a higher chance of waste and less benefits.
It is better to have a continued trickle effect.
J.armor Dosage
A daily dose is 1,590mg.
That about half of what we would expect.
The best natural testosterone boosters which will consist of around 3000mg or more.
Price
$19.99

Pros
Women may be able to benefit from this.
It is not entirely conclusive, and there’s unanswered questions.
However, even these three do not offer real concrete evidence that they do work.
Panax Ginseng offers the most perceived benefit by reducing the signs of libido related menopausal symptoms.
It can improve cognitive and physical function.
Maca seems to improve sexual desire in men, but there’s no information on women.
Horny Goat Weed has an effect on nervous tissue growth of the genitalia, this would possibly translate to the clitoris as it does with the penis.
Again, this is not conclusive.
Cons
More research required.
The vast majority of these ingredients are not proven to offer any help to stimulate testosterone or have any positive impact on libido, sexual desire and function.
Two thirds of this supplements have no scientific proof that it will fulfil the manufacturer claims.
The remaining three ingredients are not certainties either.
This means that buying and using this supplement will be a mere lottery for the user.
And while Horny Goat Weed may have a positive effect on male erections, we are hoping this would translate to female clitoris sensitivity and stimulation.
However, Horny Goat Weed has been found to lower testosterone levels!
I am also concerned by the lack of information available for the brand.
Unwanted Side Effects
Ensure you are aware of these!
- Studies have seen that using Tongkat Ali for up to nine months by mouth is safe.
Although there’s not a lot of knowledge about the risks for women who are breastfeeding.
- Horny Goat may cause an irregular heartbeat along with vomiting, dizziness and even nosebleeds.
- Polypodium is harmful to the kidneys and lungs.
- Tribulus can have a negative effect on fetal development and irregular periods.
- Saw palmetto shouldn’t be taken if you are breastfeeding or during pregancny.
- Do not eat chocolate or drink caffeinated drinks while supplementing with Panax Ginseng.
- If you suffer from Asthma do not use Arginine supplements as it can close the airways.
Arginine can also increase the risk of death to those who have suffered a heart attack. Do not use Arginine if you have kidney disease.
Herpes can be made worse by supplementing with Arginine.

J.armor Testimonials
Something else missing…
There’s not one testimonial about this product at time of print.
What does that say about this product and the trust value?
Very little.
What Improvements Could Be Made?
Proven ingredients should be included.
Unfortunately they are missing.
Look at the ingredients listed below which would be of benefit:
Some of these proven ingredients are included in the best testosterone boosters such as TestoFuel.
Horny Goat Weed Conclusion
Take heed before buying.
This does not offer the expected proof of effectiveness that we expect in a supplement.
Unfortunately there are many issues with this female test booster from J.armor.
This includes unproven ingredients, no information about the company and low doses.
There’s also some risk associated with a few of the ingredients, too.
That adds more concern.
Any final words for this review..?
Too many potential unwanted side effects that range from inconvenient to deadly.
Thus, you should check out the better options, here.
