RSP Nutrition CLA Fat Burner Review

RSP Nutrition CLA Fat Burner Review

We’ve already established our top 3 fat burners but  that could change at any time and there does seem to be an influx of wonder drug, CLA also known as Conjugated Linolenic Acid but is it a load of bull shit like tribulus that just seems to have hit a marketing sweet spot?

We’ve seen a few CLA products floating around recently and as with DAA for testosterone boosting many companies see fit to market as a singular product on its own. However, unlike DAA, CLA is a bit more complicated.

First Look

This fits in line with the rest of the RSP Nutrition range. It will not win any awards for design but it looks sleek, professional and trustworthy and that is half of the battle as most buy upon appearance and heritage.

However, we have found out in the past that this doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

I’ve been quite interested in fat burning products containing CLA because initial research looked promising…

Conjugated Linolenic Acid (CLA) – Initial reports and studies have showed that CLA helped a bunch of women who did no exercise lose 9% body fat. But further studies are showing very mixed, if not medicore results that aren’t really setting the world alight, in fact the side effects are having their presence felt moreso outweighing any real benefits. Any benefits that were found meant that the composition had to be greater than 80% – however, we are not sure of the composition here.

Dose

The advice is to take up to 6 softgels spread out over the day. This provides a maximum of 6000mg per day though, while it is not the worst, it isn’t the best.

Effects

The main issues here is that the proof from CLA is very mixed, it isn’t a consistent ingredient like green tea, caffeine or capsaicin which is good for helping fat burn.  So it isn’t the most reliable or conclusive ingredient to have.

At least it is free from stimulants for those who are not comfortable with them and of course, a proprietary blend.

So always avoid anything that contains a proprietary blend.

Negatives

The real lack of evidence to substantiate the claims is pretty high up on the list of negatives for this product.  We also do not know of the CLA composition which would need to be at least 80% to be anywhere near effective

There’s a real lack of assisting ingredients too which would help this product be more effective, even some other CLA products have accompanying ingredients to help the effects moreso.

This is much lower in dose as well compared to other CLA products out of the market so is unleikely to have much of an impact.

RSP Nutrition CLA Fat Burner Review Conclusion

So we are presented with a fat burning ingredient which is not terribly effective, not only that we do not know if the composition is 80%..

I get that this is one of those singular ingredient supplements, but to be truly effective it needs the support from other ingredients like caffeine, B12, B6, cayenne peppers, green tea and the like which this is completely lacking.

And while it jumps on the CLA bandwagon, this offers nothing new or is hardly a leap in science to give it an edge over its contemporaries. Although the 6000mg daily dose is pretty huge.

I would go on to say that this may well be used as a supplement for another fat burner supplement, however, as already mentioned the while the preliminary evidence is positive for CLA’s effectiveness, it isn’t entirely conclusive.
