In an attempt reduce his ban it was recorded that he only took the drugs in thew ‘off-season’ period, however, this had no effect on the outcome of his hearing.

He has since resounded to the fact he has received a ban and admits it is “…the stupidest thing (he’s) ever done…”

He is upset to receive a ban considering he isn’t at a professional level, however, the authorities were keen to emphasize that performance enhancing drugs are not part of any sport in New Zealand which has such a formidable presence in the game.

It has been said that he advises no one to touch the drug.
