My MuscleTech 4K SX-7 Revolution Test Booster Review

My MuscleTech 4K SX-7 Revolution Test Booster Review

First Look:

I’ve just returned from Australia and in doing so, have pretty much just slept and suffered from jet lag until about now.

This means I have also not really hit the gym as much as I would have liked, either.

I didn’t even hit the gym whilst over there, but then again, I am the type of person that wen on vacation, I want a rest, I do not want to be doing work or working out.

So, coming back to the grind is hard work, especially when I am dropping off to sleep and being really grumpy mid afternoon.

I did an upper body set of weights earlier in the week which I tried to mix up by doing three sets of five repetitions but I did not feel this stressed my body as much as the three repetitions does.

So that’s why, it is always helpful to find a supplement that can at least maximize your efforts, especially when you occasionally break your regime or cycle.

So, to help me along I have been having trying different natural test boosters to maximize my muscular gains, but also make me feel better overall.

A natural testosterone booster helps increase and restore your natural levels of T.

Ingredients: The Studies

Vitamin D

D3 is a great Testosterone boosting vitamin that must be taken advantage of to trigger further production of Testosterone in your body.

However, there are two types of Vitamin D. There’s calciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) – we are only interested in cholecalciferol which is D3; this is the type our skin synthesizes from the sun and becomes a hormone which results in the increases in our testosterone.

Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone productions are increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation.

There’s a plenty of articles I have written covering the benefits of D3 you can read about, herehere and here.

Medium Chain Triglycerides

Can be used to help raise metabolism but the effect is very small, MCT essentially are fatty acids that can be used for energy and they are much easier for your body to absorb – but they ain’t a miracle worker.

Boron

Boron is great for the older lifter or those doing high weight low rep work as it helps to reduce inflammation, something that is found in PrimeMale, which I am a fan of.

Also helps raise testosterone levels.

Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera)

Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues. So the question is, are you infertile?

If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

However, you are probably in look because only 12% of men throughout the whole world are infertile, and even then, that is a generous estimate by the World Health Authority.

Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia, TongKat Ali)

Is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

Maca Root

This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all.

No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

Safed Musli Extract (Chlorophytum Borivilianum)

Not a great deal of studies or evidence from studies on this ingredient is available.

What has been established is that a dose of 500mg for 12 weeks increased semen count significantly, there was a slight raise in testosterone but not by a great deal.

DIM (Diindolylmethane)

Diindolylmethane appears to promote a healthy balance of testosterone in the body and is found in vegetables such as broccoli.

Cruciferous vegetables which contain high levels of DIM such as broccoli are eaten by many professional athletes such as rugby league players for their benefits.

Akarkara (anacyclus pyrethrum)

Tests in rats appear to increase testosterone levels. No human testing has been completed.

700-2200mg for a 200lbs person required.

Dose:

Three tablets daily.

We would recommend that you have at least 4 tablets spread evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and less peaks or troughs.

If you get too much of certain ingredients, that what the body doesn’t need at the time will be wasted and you will not feel the benefit.

Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilizing Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.

What the body doesn’t require at the time will let it pass. Thus, a higher chance of waste and less benefits.

It is better to have a continued trickle effect.

Each daily servings consists of just over 1830mg which is nearly two thirds of the better test boosters.

Pros:

There are just two reliable and proven testosterone stimulating ingredients present here.

These are D3 and Boron.

Ashwagandha is included, however, this seems to only increase natural test levels in men who are infertile.

DIM is useful for regulating estrogen which is the female sex hormone. Too much estrogen can inhibit testosterone production, so it is useful to keep this under control.

Akarkara has shown positive results when tested on rats, yet no human studies have been concluded.

The rat testing does suggest that an amount of at least 700mg is required to be effective…this offers just 10mg.

Safed Musli does increase semen production and slightly increase test levels but again, a dose far greater than what is included is required.

Cons:

There are two ingredients that do not offer any proven benefit at all.

Maca and Tongkat Ali are often found in many supplements professing their ability to increase natural testosterone levels yet fail to deliver.

However, the problem lies with the ingredients that could be useful but are then far too under dosed to be possibly effective.

Then there is Ashwangandha which will only be beneficial for the 12% of the global male population that the World Health Organization estimates is infertile.

MCT is also an odd inclusion. This is sometimes found in fat burner supplements and while they can have a beneficial effect, it is minimal.

Often when there are ingredients included in a test booster that are normal associated with fat burner supplements it is to mimic the effects of a higher level of testosterone.

Now, lastly, this natural test booster is $169.99 !

My MuscleTech 4K SX-7 Revolution Test Booster Review Conclusion:

Unfortunately, especially considering the cost, this natural test booster is not going to stimulate much testosterone.

There’s only two, proven and reliably beneficial ingredients present. Then any other potentially beneficial ingredients are woefully under-dosed to offer any positive effects.

This combined with the high price does not leave me feeling there’s a great deal of value in this, especially when the overall daily dose is low, too.
