My Olimp Testoxeed Mega Caps Testosterone Booster Review

My Olimp Testoxeed Mega Caps Testosterone Booster Review

My Olimp Testoxeed Mega Caps Testosterone Booster Review First Look:

I am currently exhausted.

My working and employment arrangements are on the brink of change, this means there is plenty to do to prepare myself.

I’ve also got lots of vacations lined up which are exciting, but kind of at the wrong time. That means a much higher workload than I would have liked.

However, we must soldier on, and the reality is that it is merely a first world problem. A problem that can be overcome with resolve, steely determination and lots of pressure.

A way of getting through times like this is to head off to the gym and lift weights, it takes your mind off matters and can help refocus and refresh your mental state.

The added bonus is muscle. And, if you hit big compound exercises such as the squat or deadlift, you will also increase your natural levels of testosterone which will bring a wealth of health benefits.

However, if you leave the gym alone, become stressed and dwell on the pressures this can also lead to poor nutrition, lack of sleep and a drop in testosterone.

In terms of fitness, with a drop in testosterone comes a reduction of muscle mass, loss of strength and an increase of fat mass.

What few people know is that avoiding a reduction in natural testosterone levels is important for overall health, not just building muscle and strength.

This proposition from Olimp looks to build on from Olimps earlier test booster offering called DAA Xtreme Prolact Block which is in exactly the same packaging.

These tablets come in blister packs, and it all looks very serious.

All-in-all, Olimp are a well established brand, and one that you would like to think you can trust.

I certainly have done in the past because I was using DAA Xtreme.

Ingredients: The Science

So, let’s list through each ingredient and look at the associated studies:

Riboflavin (B2)

Important for body growth and red blood cell production.

It also aids in the release of energy from proteins.

Zinc

An aphrodisiac and Testosterone Booster.

Zinc is also very important for the functioning of the enzyme, hormone, and immune systems. In very high doses, zinc can act as an aromatase inhibitor and reduce estrogen levels.

It is also a potent antioxidant and can provide benefits for prostate issues.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 helps testosterone levels by stimulating androgen (a steroid hormone that acts as a precursor for testosterone) receptors in your body, making your testes produce testosterone.

D-Aspartate, DAA

D-aspartic acid is one of two forms of the amino acid aspartic acid. The other form is L-aspartate. The benefits of D-AA are specific to it, and do not extend to aspartic acid or L-aspartate. D-AA can be used as a testosterone booster for infertile men, and by athletes as a temporary booster.

D-AA works in the central brain region to cause a release of hormones, such as luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and growth hormone. Importantly, unlike some pro-hormones and steroids, it does not raise estrogen levels.

A dose of 2000-3000mg is required.

Calcium is added to help with solubility, thus we get Calcium D-Aspartic Acid.

Maca Root

This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all.

No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

https://examine.com/supplements/Maca/

Fenugreek

Found in curries which taste great, however, food aside, Fenugreek is good for natural testosterone production.

Further research also shows that fenugreek seed extract is able to reduce the daily fat intake in overweight males if taken orally at a dose of 392mg three times daily for two to six weeks.

So, to include Fenugreek in your supplement allowance is advised.

Copper

Studies have shown that people with high amounts of copper actually have lower testosterone levels; it always puzzles me as to why manufacturers would include this.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/2167108

Avena Sativa (Oat)

This is a type of oat that has been seen to raise luteinzing hormones in the body, which are a precursor to testosterone and growth hormone.

Not a great deal of real, heavy evidence if anything at all but the hallmarks of something good are there.

A bit of a gamble. In plenty of T-Boosters that do not work.

Rhodiola rosea

Can protect against cognitive deficits, neuronal injury and oxidative stress, can also be used as a potential agent in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. This is found in our favorite Nootropic.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19950527_wp_link_placeholde

Trans-Reservatrol

In tests resveratrol improved inflammatory and atherogenic status in subjects at risk for cardiovascular disease, as well as in patients with established coronary heart disease, however, its bioavailability is relatively low because it is rapidly metabolized and eliminated.

Too much inflammation can inhibit testosterone levels.

Clinical trials in healthy people are limited.

Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera)

Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues.

So the question is, are you infertile?

If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

However, you are probably in look because only 12% of men throughout the whole world are infertile, and even then, that is a generous estimate by the World Health Authority.

AstraGin

It is a 100% natural food ingredient that has shown in cell, animal, and human studies to support the absorption of many essential life supporting and health promoting nutrients, such as amino acids, glucose, and vitamins into human cells.

  • Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus) – Supplementation can provide a variety of health benefits, but may not actually prolong lifespan. It has a low bioavailability, meaning it doesn’t circulate well through the body after being ingested.

http://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/astragalus

  • Panax Notoginseng –  An important herbal medicine for cardiovascular protection; nevertheless, it could also be used as an anti-hypertensive agent on the basis of clinical experience.

https://www.hindawi.com/journals/ecam/2014/204840/

Schisandra (Schisandrin)

This is used for increasing both physical and mental performance.

However, no research studies would suggest that it can help physical performance but mental performance can be improved.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-376-SCHISANDRA.aspx?activeIngredientId=376&activeIngredientName=SCHISANDRA

BioPerine/Piper Nigrum

The extract of piperine, called BioPerine®  in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine®  significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

Dose

Two capsules are to be taken daily.

It is recommended that we spread our doses evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and to ensure that if you get a large hit of ingredients it isn’t wasted if your body doesn’t require them.

For example, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilizing Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.

What the body doesn’t require at the time will let it pass. Thus, a higher chance of waste and less benefit.

A daily serving is just over 2104mg.

This is not exactly an optimal dose and is just over two thirds of what is offered by products like Prime Male.

The tablets are chalky and so big they could be used as an elephant butt plug!

I find these very hard to swallow because they are not coated so can get stuck at the back of your throat quite easily.

Taking them becomes a bit of a chore.

Pros

This natural testosterone booster from Olimp seems to be ticking a few boxes with its extensive ingredient profile.

So, without much delay, let’s rustle through the best ingredients that this has to offer and see just how beneficial this test booster really is…

Riboflavin is good for body growth as well as increasing red blood cell production which means more opportunity for nutrients to get to the organs and muscles.

Zinc is a common nutrient found in test boosters due to its effects able to increase T but also keep estrogen levels in check.

B6 is another great ingredient that should be in every T booster as it helps your body produce testosterone.

D-Aspartic Acid is able to effectively increase test levels while not increasing estrogen levels. It is dose sensitive though, and at least 2000mg is required for optimal benefit.

Fenugreek is not just a flavoring for curries, it also helps maintain a healthy weight as well as stimulating natural testosterone production.

Rhodiola has been highlighted in studies to offer cognitive benefits as well as reducing stress.

Too much stress will have a negative effect on T levels.

Ashwagandha is being found in more and more natural test boosters that we review.

This is great if you are an infertile men who account for approximately 12% of the global population.

However, if you are not part of that 12% this has no positive effect on those test levels.

Schisandra may increase mental performance…finds are weak when it comes to physical benefit.

Piper Nigrum helps your body absorb the nutrients more effectively to process.

Cons

Of the fifteen ingredients that are included within this test booster from Olimp, it seems that only eight are going to offer some sort of benefit, and only five of those can help stimulate testosterone levels.

That is quite a low figure, in fact it is just one third of the total ingredients profile.

Then let us think about that overall daily dose being quite low when compared to other test boosters, and that those tablets are a pain to swallow.

I am also slightly concerned with the dose of D-Aspartic Acid, that seems to by shy of the required 2000mg.

That’s not where the negative points end, though. There’s more to mull over…

Maca Root has no confirmed benefit that it can increase or contribute to improving test levels.

Copper is an ingredient that can actually harm testosterone levels, especially in high doses.

Trans-Reservatrol seems to offer very low bioavailabilty, therefore, before it can offer any benefit it is broken down, this is also coupled with limited data available in people who are healthy.

AstraGin provides mixed and not entirely confirmed benefits in studies.

The Astragalus seems to be broken down before any effects can take place and the Panax Notoginseng may help controlling high blood pressure.

Ashwagandha straddles the line…if you are infertile this is great, if you are not, it is pointless and there are far better and proven ingredients available that can benefit both fertile and infertile men.

My Olimp Testoxeed Mega Caps Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion

This test booster from Olimp looks positive from the initial look, its packaging looks crisp and of  a high quality, although the blister pack does seem a little dated or more associated with flu remedies!

Yet, a thorough analysis shows us that really, when you dig in to the seemingly impressive initial fifteen ingredients, only five really are going to have a good effect on testosterone production, yet even the key ingredient was under dosed to be beneficial.

This then leads us on to the overall daily dose that is low, plus the tablets are too big and difficult to swallow with the ingredient profile missing lots of other proven ingredients.

Any final words for this review..?

With just five ingredients that can offer some benefit, this is overshadowed by those test boosters that offer eight, nine of more proven elements.

Therefore, at present, you should check out what the better options, here.
