This slightly feminine looking fat burner seems to be holding a key.
A key to looking great.
These are directly aimed at the female market. I feel that this is a foolish strategy as much of the time gender specific supplements offer the same as anything else.
Either way, the female fitness market is booming, long gone are supplements aimed at big bodybuilder type men who also work the doors of nightclubs at the weekend.
I guess Pretty Fit are trying to tap in to this burgeoning scene, but is their plan flawed?

Who Are Pretty Fit?
Pretty Fit say they are a health and fitness company. They want to deliver the highest quality products with research backed ingredients.
To be fair many companies say this, but it doesn’t translate to anything.
One, thing that they have stated is that these products are for ALL women.
‘…Our mission is to deliver the highest quality nutritional products and honest, research-backed health & fitness information to ALL women…’
Well, if you take away the ‘wo’ from women you get men.
So, it is not fair if just one gender gets all of the benefit, is it?
Men, take a look at this product, because it is good for all genders and those in-between.
Pretty Fit Lean Ingredients: The Science
– Green Tea
This is well known to have many powerful health benefits.
Clinical studies suggest that green tea extract may boost metabolism and help burn fat.
One study found that the combination of green tea and caffeine improved weight loss and maintenance in people who were overweight and moderately obese.
Some researchers think that substances in green tea known as catechins are responsible for the herb’s fat-burning effect.
Green tea extract is found in many a good fat burning supplement. [1]
– L-carnitine
Acetyl-L-carnitine helps the body produce energy.
It is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement, and many other body processes.
It is a very popular supplement and widely proven to be active drugs for the therapy of symptoms associated with male aging.
Any fat loss tends to be associated with the extra energy provided by this compound which in turn increases exercise. [2]
– Caffeine
This can assist with endurance, tested athletes saw an edge from caffeine in scientific studies.
In some trials, the stimulant boosted athletes’ speed.
In others, it helped them last longer before they spent all their energy.
Caffeine also raises the metabolism which means you burn more calories.
Some studies show that it can curb soreness after exercise, too.
This means you could get back to your training sooner and training means more calories burnt. [3]
– Rhodiola Rosea
Can protect against cognitive deficits, neuronal injury and oxidative stress, can also be used as a potential agent in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. [4]
– C. Canephora Robusta (Green Coffee Extract)
Evidence from research has indicated that the consumption of caffeinated coffee can lead to some reductions in long-term weight gain.
This is an effect which is likely to be due to the known thermogenic effects of caffeine intake. [5]
– L-Theanine
Beneficial for stress reduction, decreasing generalized anxiety, and reducing the severity of insomnia.

– Synephrine
This is a less potent fat burner which is a relative of Ephedrine.
If taken it is recommended that 10-20mg is taken three times daily. [7]
Pretty Fit Lean Directions
Up to 6 pills per day – this is pretty intense, however, instead of being advised to spread the dose out over the course of the day, we are directed to take up to 3 pills twice daily.
There’s a dose of 3810mg per day if 6 pills are taken. That’s pretty good by all accounts.
Pros
We are faced with 7 excellent ingredients here.
Not all are directly associated with the fat burning process, however, they are all good, proven and useful ingredients in their own right.
In addition, they all help in their own way for a healthy body and importantly, mind.
We are also given a good dose of nearly 4000mg per day which overshadows many of the offerings.
This will positively help towards fat burning and giving you the energy to participate in exercise to burn those extra calories.
It is great to see that there is no proprietary blend either.
And, it is great to see a supplement company that get’s the dosing of Synephrine correctly – so many do not!
Cons
I cannot really say there’s too much negative about this, I can, however, offer suggestions for improvements.
I do believe this has wrongly been ‘genderized’ (is there such a word?), many guys will by-pass this product in the believe it is just for women, it is not.
Then we come on to the ingredients; I like all of the ingredients available, I also like the daily dose even if I think the actual recommendation of taking 3 pills at once twice daily is flawed and not entirely optimal.
I think, to be an absolute world beater, this just needs more ingredients, it misses out on items such as cayenne pepper, glucomannan, B6, B12…the list does go on a little, and they can all be found in this product here.
My Pretty Fit Lean Fat Burner Conclusion
The marketing of this product needs to change, it is way better than most on the market yet it is only aimed at half of the population – with a product that is effective these guys are missing out and so are men in general who are looking to shed extra pounds.
However, let’s not get too carried away.
On the whole this blows away much of the competition, however, it is still not the best available.
It still misses a plethora or well known and proven ingredients such as Zinc, Cayenne and even Glucomannan as found in the strongest fat burner available.
However, it does fall in our lauded top 3 category!
You just need to find out where it placed!
