Killer Steroids: Bodybuilder Dies – A Warning
A self confessed bodybuilder who was described as fit and healthy has died following a cardiac arrest.
The man from the county of Lancashire, UK suffered from a seizure whilst watching television at home in February.

During the hearing at the Inquest at Court the Pathologist who performed the post-mortem stated that the cause of death as cardiac arrhythmia which is a result of fluid retention which in turn causes hypertension.
It is known that steroids and growth hormone are contributory to hypertension and that the the man was a known user of of these supplements. Aged 48, the man is part of a growing trend of men over 40 who are seeking to buy steroids, usually online without a prescription.
The Coroner described the death as misadventure and died as a result of the adverse combined effects of steroid and growth supplements.
