My Midway Labs Military Trail Anabolic Arsenal Testosterone Booster Review First Look:

With the fairly recent trend of seeing supplements coming in a variety of colors, flavors and forms it would seem that the obvious way to go is through liquid, or at least a powder format that can be taken mixed with water to make it easier to consume.

As, over time, it can become a bit of a drain to take pills for some.

Others prefer the convenience that a couple of pills in your bag can offer. They are compact and quick to administer with just a sip of water.

However, there is something exciting about drinking a formula that is fruity, zingy and tingly.

More often that not, test boosters come in pill format. It can, after all, at least offer a accurate dose of each individual ingredient.

So, to see a test booster pre mixed in a bottle is not particularly common and does draw some excitement.

Especially when the packaging states that it offers a natural alternative to synthetic steroids.

If that doesn’t get you going, nothing will.

If you are wondering why a strong and natural testosterone booster is so highly sought after, you may be interested to hear that in fitness alone a drop in testosterone comes a reduction of muscle mass, loss of strength and an increase of fat mass.

What few people know is that avoiding a reduction in natural testosterone levels is important for overall health, not just building muscle and strength.

There are some way to combat this, and resistance training or weightlifting is helpful, particularly if compound exercises are employed.

Seeing as I am interested in weight lifting and trying to increase my strength it is of a double concern that my testosterone levels are maintained at a high level.

As such, I use TestoFuel because it contains nine proven ingredients that are able to stimulate more testosterone production.

As a result I have seen some great results that would envy a younger version of myself.

I am always keen to see what other products can offer and if they can have such great effects as well.

Now that I am officially on the wrong side of my early thirties I am very interested in what products on the market can offer to help reverse my natural decline in testosterone.

Ingredients: The Science

So, let’s list through each ingredient and look at the associated studies:

Once again, the old tribulus raises its ugly head.

The problem is that because this has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War.

People have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognisable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.

The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

In fact, in studies using elite professional Australian rugby players as participants Tribulus did not produce the large gains in strength or lean muscle mass that many manufacturers claim can be experienced.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Maca Root

This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all.

No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

Eleutherococcus Senticosus (Siberian Ginseng)

Whilst there is evidence that this can actually help treat herpes and reduce the severity of cold and flu, there is very little solid evidence to reliably suggest this helps increase testosterone or increase strength.

A mixture of glucose, disaccharides and polysaccharides, obtained by the partial hydrolysis of starch.

This is a fast digesting carbohydrate.

More alarmingly it is also used as a pesticide…

Two tablespoons which equates to 30ml is to be taken daily.

It is recommended that we spread our doses evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

This way your body has a constant trickle of the ingredients to work with in order to stimulate testosterone and to ensure that if you get a large hit of ingredients it isn’t wasted if your body doesn’t require them.

Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilising Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.

A daily serving is 7900mg which is much more than many test boosters offer.

Actually, looking through the research, this does not appear very promising at all and certainly does not live up to the marketing and the bold, military and masculine style theme.

So, what are the pros with this test booster.

Well, not a massive amount I’m afraid.

Okay, the liquid method may be preferred but this is not like one of those ready to drink (RTD) products which is like drinking a can or bottle of soda.

Nope, you have to measure out 30ml or two tablespoons.

That is sketchy. Give me a easy and convenient pill.

Not only that, taking a liquid means that the nutrients hit your bloodstream quicker, and all at once when it is better from a more prolonged and gradual effect to take place.

Yes, there is a whole lot of issue with this supplement.

Mainly, but not limited to the ingredients.

We have already established a problem with measuring out the daily dose of 30ml to take which will not be easy while driving or even on a train.

However, let us move on to the ingredients because this is important.

Tribulus, almost universally known as the original test boosting plant. Except that it doesn’t boost testosterone at all.

The world’s best selling lie.

Maca may increase your libido and mood but it will not increase or stimulate testosterone levels.

Siberian Ginseng has no scientific proof from any reputable source that it will contribute to an increase in natural testosterone levels.

This is actually more common than you may think when it comes to foods and supplements because it is a fast acting carbohydrate which means you can access it quickly for that sudden rush of energy you need.

Yet, that is still not anything to do with testosterone levels.

Plus, it is used as a pesticide.

Then there is the rapid delivery method of the liquid. It is better to have a gradual intake or absorption of the nutrients to the effects are more beneficial and there is less chance of the ingredients being wasted.

What Improvements Could Be Made?

There are a number of natural and fully proven and safe ingredients available that are in the best test boosters that this omits.

Unfortunately this does not offer any proven test stimulating ingredients at all.

Yet, the marketing would have you think otherwise.

There’s a couple of ingredients that can help mimic the effects of higher test levels such as the quick energy from Maltodextrin and the increased feelings of libido from Maca.

However, for actually hormone level increases this offers nothing that is scientifically proven.

Therefore, let’s look at what other ingredients should be included in this product alongside the three beneficial ingredients we identified:

  • K2
  • DAA
  • D3
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • D3
  • B6
  • C
  • Oyster
  • Fenugreek
  • Creatine
  • K2

This is highlighted because when you consider the effective testosterone boosters such as TestoFuel contain 9 proven ingredients to raise test levels.

Now, my last point is more of a personal preference.

I would prefer to take a pill rather than measure out a precise amount of liquid.

My Midway Labs Military Trail Anabolic Arsenal Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion

This test booster looks impressive and the liquid delivery method instead of capsules or pills is rather novel.

However, the liquid itself suits a supplement such as a pre workout more because of its fast acting nature whereas it is better for a T booster to have a more gradual release of nutrients in to the bloodstream.

However, for some people, they may just hate pills and this is a more attractive alternative.

Yet, that is only a consideration if the ingredients included are actually beneficial.

This is where Midway Labs’ Military Trail Anabolic Arsenal really fails.

In fact, it falls flat on its face.

That is because not one ingredient included is effective to increase and raise natural T levels even though the marketing states that it is a natural alternative to synthetic steroids.

And one ingredient is used as a pesticide…

Yet, if we think about it. Ice cream or candy and even beer is an alternative to synthetic steroids.

Go figure.

Any final words for this review..?

I would stay clear of this test booster because it simply doesn’t boost test levels.

Therefore, at present, you should check out what the better options, here.
