My MRM Chrysin 500 Testosterone Booster Review
With so many products on the market claiming they can increase testosterone I am interested in this supplement that has just one sole ingredient which is called chrysin.
Can this chrysin only supplement buck the trend of so many testosterone boosters which have multiple ingredients?
MRM Chrysin 500 Testosterone Booster First Look
With summer on its way, it seems natural that we all want to get a bit healthier and fitter.
It has got me searching for a local gym instead of using the set up I have under my sitting room in the house.
The sunshine makes you feel better and more optimistic with extra energy.
So what better than to enhance your efforts by taking a supplement that can help you get the most from your workout?
Whatever you goal, testosterone, or maximizing your testosterone levels will help.
This is not actually particularly well known.
Men suffer from the male version of the menopause, it is called the andropause. [1]
Yet, the menopause can hit women hard and seemingly very rapidly causing a noticeable physical and psychological changes. [2]
Andropause happens over a much longer period of time which makes the changes quite unnoticeable… a bit like cliffs being eroded over time by the ocean.
It is often a misconception that testosterone and having a high level of testosterone is merely to support muscle growth.
Whereas, there is much more to this hormone…
‘Testosterone is a sex hormone that plays important roles in the body. In men, it’s thought to regulate sex drive (libido), bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass and strength, and the production of red blood cells and sperm.’ [3]
Therefore, it is clear that testosterone means more to your overall health than just aesthetics.
This product does look of a good quality, it is delivered via vegan capsules but it does state that is ‘may’ support hormone levels.
That is a get out clause right there!
Who are MRM?
MRM are a company that ere on the side of natural remedies and alternative medicines.
I am always a little skeptical of alternative therapies and medicines because they rare have any conclusive proof or studies relating to their effectiveness.
Often claims state that a particular nutrient or product will have ‘reported’ benefits.
This is where the waters become a little muddied. Who has made these such ‘reports’, if it is extracts from a reputable studies that is well documented from a regarded source, fine.
However, if it is merely anecdotal reports, this is where the trust is lost.
That said, MRM claim their supplements are innovative and based upon reliable data.
MRM are committed to sourcing ingredients that are free from GMO’s (genetically modified organism’s) and are certified vegan manufacturer’s.
Ingredients: The Science
So, let’s list through each ingredient and look at the associated studies:
Chrysin
The theory behind chrysin and testosterone is that it can inhibit the conversion of testosterone to estrogen [5] and inhibit a protein which can in turn inhibit testosterone synthesis. [6]
By blocking and preventing this protein which regulates steroid hormone biosynthesis, it in turn allows the stimulation of testosterone production.
The laboratory research suggests that chrysin might increase testosterone, but research in humans hasn’t found any effect on testosterone levels.
This is due to the amount of chrysin that is absorbed from the intestine likely to be very small, which would make the effects unlikely.
This seems to be the biggest issue with chrysin, the fact that it is not able to be absorbed effectively by the body whereas rats seem to fare better.
So, as a result, even oral doses ranging from 400mg – 3000mg appear to be ineffective according to research. [7]
However, alternatively it has been demonstrated to increase testosterone levels when injected in to the testicles.
On a plus note, there seems to be very little risk with taking chrysin and it appears to have promising abilities to prevent colon cancer. [8]
How To Take Chrysin 500
Six capsules are to be taken daily in three doses of two.
It is recommended that we spread our doses evenly across the day, as per some of the best testosterone boosters on the market.
A slower consumption rate can maintain a trickle effect of the nutrients, which means they pass less often and are available for the body to absorb and utilize..
A daily serving is 3000mg and it vegan friendly.
This compares well to products like Prime Male which are formulated for the older gentlemen.
Price
$14.99 – this is cheap. However, there is just one ingredient.
In 1499 the Flemish pretender to the English throne Perkin Warbeck hanged for reportedly attempting to escape from Tower of London. Invaded England in 1497, claiming to be the lost son of King Edward IV.
Pros
There is not much to go on with this.
That is because all of the studies do not correlate with any testosterone benefit at all when taken as an oral dose, which this is.
In fact, the bio-availability of chrysin does not lend itself well to consumption at all and even high doses do not appear to have any benefit.
Although, it does appear to benefit from some form of chemoprotection.
At least it is vegan friendly.
Cons
This supplement, as an oral product does not offer any positive effects for human consumption.
One study on rats suggested that it can help raise testosterone levels, however, this has not been replicated in any of the limited studies on humans.
As the studies also demonstrate, even 3000mg does not offer any proven benefit whatsoever.
This provides that 3000mg, but it is not going to increase natural test levels.
As a result, there is no reason to buy this supplement.
Unwanted Side Effects
Chrysin appears to not to have any unwanted side effects or any toxic effects in humans.

My MRM Chrysin 500 Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion
This does not contain any proven ingredients that are able to stimulate the secretion of testosterone when orally administered.
Frustratingly, the studies do demonstrate that there can be a positive impact on rodents and theoretically it can work by inhibiting the protein that inhibits testosterone synthesis.
Yet, unfortunately, the result is that taking this as a testosterone booster will not have any positive effect on hormone levels.
This is due to the low bioavailablilty of it as an oral supplement.
So, what can we do?
Don’t buy this product, and do not buy a product that contains chrysin.
An effective test booster should contain a good eight or more proven ingredients in adequate doses to have an benefit.
Any final words for this review..?
This will not work because chrysin is not proven to increase test levels in this format.
As such, at present, you should check out what the better options, here.
