My FinaFlex PX Heat Fat Burner Review
I’m in a desperate scramble to lose some body fat and increase my cardio vascular abilities.
I am going away to Mexico in May but before that, I also go away for my initial assessment weekend to join the Army Reserves.
Therefore, I want to be able to run fast enough to hit 1.5 miles under 10 minutes 30 seconds.
With this in mind, I have recently bought a cyclocross bike to get my lardy ass in gear.
Normally I have been cycling a fixed gear bicycle, and have done for probably the past seven or eight years, but now, I want some additional speed.
In buying a bike with gears I have almost slashed my commute time in half. I absolutely nail it to work in the morning and it does become a bit of a road race between all the different cyclists.
With the extra gears and the knowledge that you can go fast puts more pressure on yourself to go fast and work harder.
This means I am getting to work with burning lungs and legs which is just what I want.
It also means by the time I get home in the evening, my legs are fucked.
So, with little time available before the latter parts of May, I am wanting the best results I can muster.
This is exactly where an effective fat burner can help.
Fat burners can give you that edge whereby you burn the extra calories required which help toward creating that deficit which can lead to fat loss.
Especially if you cannot commit to a really good and consistent cardio regime.
This fat burner from FinaFlex looks to contain a lot more ingredients than it really does, so I am wondering how it will perform alongside the other options on the market.
What can a fat burner really do?
You may well be surprised actually.
The idea that an effective fat burner just magically makes your waist smaller is far from the truth.
However, only the effective fat burners contain a number of ingredients in correct doses that work harmoniously and through a number of outcomes help you lose fat mass, not muscle.
Their benefits include, but are not limited to:
- Increase energy – This will help you be more active and stimulate you for effective workouts
- Thermogenic – These ingredients will increase the temperature of your core which increases calorie expenditure
- Appetite control – The ability to feel fuller and not to fall for sweet, calorie laden treats
As a result I tend to supplement my exercise regime with a fat burner supplement.
I have found Instant Knockout to offer the best results and as a result I try to use that daily.
Ingredients: The Science
Conjugated Linolenic Acid (CLA)
Initial reports and studies have showed that CLA helped a bunch of women who did no exercise lose 9% of their body fat.
However, further studies are showing very mixed, if not medicore results that aren’t really setting the world alight, in fact the side effects are having their presence felt moreso outweighing any real benefits.
Any benefits that were found meant that the composition had to be greater than 80%.
A well known to have many powerful health benefits. Clinical studies suggest that green tea extract may boost metabolism and help burn fat.
One study found that the combination of green tea and caffeine improved weight loss and maintenance in people who were overweight and moderately obese.
Some researchers think that substances in green tea known as catechins are responsible for the herb’s fat-burning effect.
It has been shown to help lose almost 5% body weight over a three month period.
Green tea extract is found in many a good fat burning supplement.
Known to boost metabolism, cayenne causes the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel.
This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout.
Paradoxine (Aframomum Melegueta/Grains of Paradise)
Oral ingestion of GP extract increases energy expenditure.
Some research shows that taking huperzine A by mouth for 4 weeks improves the memory older children and teenagers who complain of memory problems.
Three pills to be taken daily.
It is good to spread out the dose across the course of the day to ensure our body has a constant supply of ingredients to process rather than peaks and troughs.
If you get too much of certain ingredients, that what the body doesn’t need at the time will be wasted and you will not feel the benefit.
Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilizing Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.
What the body doesn’t require at the time will let it pass. Thus, a higher chance of waste and less benefits.
It is better to have a continued trickle effect.
This results in a daily dose of 1345mg which is low when compared to competitors.
So, there are not the vast number of ingredients we initially thought, instead, they seem to have referenced the commercial name for manufacturing purposes and the varying names for which each ingredient is known as.
Very confusing, and to the laymans eye, very complicated yet looks very technical and scientific, this adds a layer of confidence.
Let’s see why this fat burner can be of benefit to us…
Green Tea is a proven ingredient that we see in all of the better fat burner supplements on the market.
Cayenne is also proven and can raise the core body temperature which in turn raises the metabolism burning more calories at rest to get closer to that calorie deficit.
Grains of Paradise have also been proven through research to help burn more calories that you would do normally at rest.
More calories burned than taken in equals fat loss.
Huperzine does not help with fat loss but it does help improve memory performance.
So, overall, a good few ingredients there to help fat loss, increase the metabolism and help with the working memory.
However, just a few is not exactly a lot. It’s much less than what other fat burner supplements will offer.
If we break this down to its individual components we can see that there’s only three certain fat burning ingredients available.
There’s also CLA included.
However, there’s a bit of controversy and bewilderment surrounding it.
That’s because initial testing saw some excellent fat loss results in women who participated in the study.
Without further exercise, they lost around 9% body fat from supplementing CLA alone!
The problem is, those sort of results have never been replicated ever again…
CLA also needs to be a minimum of 80% composition, but we have no idea of the composition with this.
If we then consider the fact that all of these ingredients combined fall within a secretive proprietary blend, things start to look a little less promising.
If you are not familiar with a proprietary blend, watch the video below of me in my old garage gym.
If you have skipped the video, a proprietary blend essentially means that although we know which ingredients are included in the supplement, we have no idea of the individual breakdown of each ingredient.
Legally, the supplement company could literally include just trace amounts per ingredient and the rest being a low cost filler.
Just to repeat that, this is completely legal.
Then, there’s a number of ingredients that are missing, yet are proven to be beneficial.
- Green Tea
- Green Coffee extract
- Vitamin C
My FinaFlex PX Heat Fat Burner Review Conclusion:
There is not a massive amount to go on with this.
There’s a small number of ingredients and a low dose, plus the proprietary blend does not instil a lot of confidence in the brand or product.
The ingredients that are included are, on the majority, beneficial.
The only ingredient that is not 100% proven is the CLA, and, to make matters worse we have no idea of its composition or how much of it we are getting in this supplement.
That does only leave us with four effective ingredients, however, that proprietary blend could mean that we only have trace amounts of those ingredients deeming it ineffective altogether.
Anything else worth adding to this review..?
With a low dose, small number of ingredients, proprietary blend and the omission of other ingredients which are proven and readily available in other fat burners, it doesn’t give us much reason to use this from FinaFlex.
Yes, there are some other products such as those in our top 3 fat burners are more attractive propositions.
