Primeval Labs Mega Test Testosterone Booster Review // Is It Superior?

Primeval Labs Mega Test Testosterone Booster First Look:

I was initially only aware of Primeval Labs because of the affiliation with Jerry Ward who posts insightful and honest videos on YouTube.

Jerry is very open about his past, including being part of 5% Nutrition, drug dependency ans taking steroids.

Therefore, I wouldn’t expect Jerry to endorse anything crap.

I am interested to see how this fair’s amongst the other big boys on the circuit.

Vitamin D is a great Testosterone boosting vitamin that must be taken advantage of to trigger further production of Testosterone in your body.

However, there are two types of Vitamin D. There’s calciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) – we are only interested in cholecalciferol which is D3; this is the type our skin synthesizes from the sun and becomes a hormone which results in the increases in our testosterone.

Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone productions are increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation.

Tongkat Ali (AKA Longjack or Eurycoma Longifolia) – is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent. Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

D-Aspartate, DAA – D-aspartic acid is one of two forms of the amino acid aspartic acid. The other form is L-aspartate. The benefits of D-AA are specific to it, and do not extend to aspartic acid or L-aspartate. D-AA can be used as a testosterone booster for infertile men, and by athletes as a temporary booster.

D-AA works in the central brain region to cause a release of hormones, such as luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, and growth hormone. Importantly, unlike some pro-hormones and steroids, it does not raise estrogen levels.

A dose of 2000-3000mg is required.

Zinc – Needed for many reactions in the brain and a key component for releasing the luteinzing hormone (LH). LH is primarily responsible for the production of testosterone and growth hormone. The fact that it’s in here is great. Zinc is found in everyone of our Top 3 T-Boosters

Tribulus – The problem is that because Tribulus has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War people have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.  The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Maca Root – This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all. No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

Fenugreek – Fenugreek is a proven ingredient as found in our #3 Testosterone Booster, Testo+ and our benchmark product; Testofuel.

Magnesium – Research into magnesium supplementation also increased testosterone production in men.

Arimistane (Androst 3,5-dien-7, 17-dione) – Theoretically may be able to increase testosterone levels. However, as no human or animal interventions have been conducted with Androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione we don’t actually know.

Dose:

We are instructed to take up to 5 pills daily which is spot on. However, the instructions are to hit them just before you sleep.

It would be best just to spread the 4 over the course of the day from the start to ensure your body gets a constant source of nutrients to stimulate testosterone production as with the best testosterone boosters.

A daily dose of 4 pills is a healthy 3485.024mg.

Effects & Benefits:

This starts off very well indeed.

D-Aspartic Acid is one of the key ingredients that stimulates your natural testosterone production.

Vitamin D3 is also great for stimulating testosterone especially when you also have Magnesium, Zinc and Fenugreek to hand.

Now consider the combined 3485mg and we feel like we are on to a winner.

Negatives:

However…

Androsta-3,5-diene-7,17-dione theoretically should work…but the lack of studies on humans (i.e none) means we just do not know.

There’s also the added insult of Tribulus making an appearance.

Tongkat and Maca are also useless.

All of these combined amount to 1100mg – so quite a chunk shaved off.

Plus, while having D3 is excellent, at only 1000IU that is 4000IU less than found in TestoFuel which combines all of the best ingredients.

Primeval Labs Mega Test Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:

This not bad, in fact it is better than most testosterone booster supplements you can buy.

However, it is not entirely comprehensive. It misses out a few valuable ingredients such as B6, B12, Oyster, K2 for example.

Yet is also contains unproven ingredients which bulk out the product by just under a third.

So, will it be effective? Yes, to a degree but just not as effective as some others and I think Jerry would not really buy in to this product wholeheartedly.

  1. When I take this product my right side hurts and I always pee orange in the AM. I don’t really feel any different, but the orange urine worries me. Could it be blood, or is this normal…?

    1. Hello Lewis,

Do you drink alcohol much? Have you taken any steroids or prohormones beforehand?

If your urine is orange, my immediate thoughts are that you are not drinking enough water. I would drink plenty more water to hydrate yourself, especially if you are doing a lot of physical activity.

The only real concern I would have about this supplement is the inclusion of Arimistane (Androst 3,5-dien-7, 17-dione) which does not have much research surrounding it.

If obviously you are not feeling well, stop using it and make sure you are hydrated. See how your body is feeling and if your urine doesn’t become clearer see a doctor to get checked out.

      Thanks
