There are some debatable and unwanted side effects from taking these hormones, one of the most popular theories is that it can cause ‘roid rage’, whereby the effects can cause irritability, increased aggressiveness resulting in violence.

The authorities have also recently intercepted a large haul which was destined for the illegal performance enhancing market such as bodybuilding were the prevalence of abuse is rife. Worryingly they were also destined for some prisons to be used by inmates who use the prison gyms.

It is also becoming more widespread in youngsters who do not realize the dangers and the disruption caused to their natural development including a possibility of increased acne, stunted growth, shrunken testicles and hair loss.
