First Look

I am not too much of a fan of supplement companies riding off the coattails of the military to sell supplements.

I am all for military discounts, but trying to elude that they are supplements produce in conjunction with the military doesn’t sit right with me.

‘Military grade’ is a term that gets banded around more often that not, too. What it actually means is quite undetermined.

However, it makes the buyer think they car getting something that is rigorously tested and unbreakable.

Yet, when I think of military grade I just think of hemorrhaging budgets for a product that could be bought in civvy world for much cheaper.

A $30k Toyota Hilux truck seems to work for every warmongering terrorist out there whereas military’s around the globe pick up a tab for a vehicle that seems no more capable for ten times the price.

Yet, being the average Joe that I am I am more than keen to try something that could be stronger than just a multi-vitamin.

Being a Monday normally means that I am physically and mentally in tatters.

However, not this Monday. Nope.

For I did the most honorable thing by getting wasted on a Friday night with the girlfriend over dinner and thus ruined the rest of the weekend for myself.

What a clever sausage.

So, Saturday was a wipe out, Sunday meant I felt rough and was desperately trying to do some DIY around the house which culminated with me ripping some plaster out trying to mount a large mirror.

Plus, you wouldn’t believe the sweat I had on just trying to hang some venetian blinds.

However, i went to bed last night definitely feeling more manly and if anything, a tryer.

Then this morning I cycled in to work which again made me feel much better and a bit more of a man.

Later, though, and after this I will hit the weights. However, since I hit the age of thirty or thereabouts I have found that my body takes longer to recover.

I also pick up moe niggles, joint pains and aches which last for longer.

Then there’s the fat mass levels, maintaining abs is more difficult, as can be your mood levels.

So, the medical assessments of mortal human beings a drop in testosterone can have wider health implications.

Who are Standard Issue Supplements?

They very much elude to a military background or military cohesion.

There’s lot’s of images of military personnel working out and standard issue is a term used by military’s all over the world for equipment that is issued to soldiers.

They do say that they feel that to perform civic duties to the fullest nutritional supplementation is required.

That is one way to look at it, another way is that you should have a full and varied nutritional diet plan and exercise regime.

SIS say that this supplement will help reduce body fat, increase endurance and enhance muscle building.


HGH Boost Ingredients: The Science

– Arginine

There’s an issue with arginine that many people fail to realize.

That is that while there’s proof available that arginine can increase blood flow and nitric oxide levels which in turn can deliver more oxygen and nutrients required by the muscles and organs, it just is not that effective when taken orally.

This is characterozed by conflicting and contradicting studies regarding arginine’s benefits to increase nitric oxide.

It seems that citrulline is a better option because it is absorbed better and converts in to arginine in the kidneys. [1] [2]

– Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarte (OKG)

– Ornithine HCL

OKG and HCL are supposedly more effective that taking ornithine alone. However, there’s not too much evidence that suggests this is the case.

But why would we take ornithine?

It seems at least, ornithine can reduce ammonia in the blood. This can reduce fatigue, especially if you are hungover from drinking alcohol.

However, overall, there seems to be very little studies and proof surrounding any physical or mental performance benefit from taking ornithine. [3] [4]

– Lysine

From doing background research regarding lysine, two things are to be noted.

  1. Lysine is effective for treating herpes.
  2. There’s contradicting information about its ability to work with arginine

So, clearly SIS have not done even the most basic of research. Because it did not take me long to read through the scientific papers to understand those two points.

There really doesn’t seem to be much benefit of including lysine in this product other than it being an essential amino acid which is the building blocks of protein.

It does seem in high doses (1200mg) when paired with an equal amount of arginine it can increase growth hormone.

There’s other information that reports arginine cancels out any benefit lysine may offer. [5] [6]

– Glutamine

Glutamine is only really of benefit to those who follow diets that are low in dairy products and meats.

It is often said to be an effective muscle builder and hence why it is included in this product from SIS.

But, once again, just some basic and simple medical research would have told them that there’s no facts regarding the effectiveness of glutamine to further enhance muscle gain.

It seems only to be effective for people who have suffered severe trauma and need to regrow muscle tissue.

If you are healthy and normal, increasing glumatine intake through supplements will not increase muscle. [7] [8]

– Glycine

If you supplement with 3 to 5g of glycine before bed it can help your sleep. Good sleep is the key to effective muscle recovery. Without good sleep, you will not grow and repair.

It may also have a beneficial effect on some cognitive functions.

However, the benefits for us in this scenario is the improved sleep quality. [9]

– Colostrum

Colostrum is only effective in infants and very young children whereby their digestive systems are not fully developed. For young children colostrum can increase insulin growth factor 1.

This is what many manufacturers of supplements hang on to, but the fact of the matter is that if you are a developed adult, this will not increase muscle growth. [10] [11]

 PROS – This can help you sleep better and can help fight fatigue

 

 CONS – Not one ingredient increases growth hormone or testosterone levels

HGH Boost Directions

Two capsules are to be taken daily.

It is recommended that we spread our doses evenly across the day, as per the best testosterone booster on the market.

A daily serving is 1410mg.

This is pretty terrible and about 50% of the doses offered by products like Prime Male.


HGH Boost Dosage

This only offers a daily dose of 1410mg.

When compared to many other test booster supplements this level is poor.

I would expect to find around 3000mg for a daily dose.


Pros

Did you read the science part? Where each individual ingredients was analysed for its benefits?

I bet you didn’t, if not, lets just summarize here.

There’s nothing contained in this supplement that will have an effect on testosterone or any human growth hormone levels according to the reputable studies and research that is available.

Unless, of course you are an infant, in which case you most likely cannot read or understand any of this.

The reason being is that infants’ digestive system is not yet fully developed and when ingested by a body whereby the digestive system is fully developed it breaks down the growth factors and enzymes that Colostrum would otherwise offer.

Glycine can help you sleep a bit better. Now you do release testosterone when you sleep, so ensuring you get some good sleep is important.

Cons

Do you remember what I said about military grade stuff not necessarily being better than other equipment, but it is always more expensive?

Well, it seems by using this, it will be a lot tougher to actually increase hormone levels than using something that contains the correct ingredients to actually stimulate test levels.

Unless you are an infant child with a desperate need for supplements to get jacked at a very early age.

Is This The Best HGH On The Market?

No, far from it.

So what does make a good hormone optimizing supplement?

Well, if you are looking to raise your natural test levels, you need to find a supplement with the following ingredients that are proven to help:

Each one of these listed ingredients is known and has clinical proof that they can increase testosterone levels.

Not one of the ingredients listed in this particular product can increase testosterone.


Unwanted HGH Boost Side Effects

  • If you suffer from Asthma do not use Arginine supplements as it can close the airways.

Arginine can also increase the risk of death to those who have suffered a heart attack. Do not use Arginine if you have kidney disease.

Herpes can be made worse by supplementing with Arginine.

  • There is a risk of kidney disease when using Lysine supplements.
  • Glutamine comes with a number of risks including mania, liver disease and seizures.
  • Do not take Colostrum if you are allergic to milk products.

Standard Issue Supplements HGH Boost Conclusion

Military grade doesn’t mean better. It usually means it is heavier and more of a pain in the ass.

This isn’t heavy, nor is it a steroid so there’s no needle in the ass.

However, it offers no real muscle building or endurance benefit, ether, so its use to us here is minimal.

There’s not one ingredient that can raise hormone levels for adults, as a result, the user will not physically benefit from using this product.

Any final words for this review..?

Do not be fooled by thinking military grade is better.

ISIS would probably consider a sandal as military grade because that’s what they fight in, it’s not better than an enclosed boot with ankle support though.

Therefore, at present, you should check out what the better options, here.
