USN Hypercut Thermo XTS Fat Burner Review – Does it work?

First Look:

USN are a well established supplement company with products ranging from protein bars, whey powder to gym clothes. This product looks to be pf a high quality, that said, a good graphics team can make anything look good in a packet.

proprietary blend

N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine – Tyrosine is taken for depression, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the inability to stay awake (narcolepsy), and improving alertness following sleep deprivation. It is also used for stress, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS).

Theacrine (1,3,7,9-tetramethyluric acid) – An alkaloid molecule which can be seen as a structurally modified version of caffeine. However, although it is similar to caffeine whereby it has a sedative effect at relatively low doses, but where this sedative effect with caffeine is at an impractically low dose with theacrine it is the dose normally consumed by tea. Research on Theacrine is really too sparse though to cast any real assertions.

Caffeine Anhydrous – The purest form of caffeine available.  It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB. This is found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

Yohimbe – Related to Yohimbine, Yohimbe is a powerful stimulant and used to increase fat loss as well as assist with erectile dysfunction. Can cause a host of other problems though, this is in out supplements to avoid list.

Chromium – Chromium supplements are promoted as being helpful in building muscle and burning fat and in helping the body use carbohydrates. This has not been proven and features in our list of ingredients to avoid.

3 capsules per day to be taken with water in the morning. This equates to just 1464.3mg.

There are 2 active ingredients present, one of which is a well respected and found in some of the best fat burners available, and the other can cause some issues that may be bad for your health and as a result it should be avoided regardless of how effective it potentially can be.

Therefore, this will be as about as effective as having plenty of strong coffee each day to stimulate the central nervous system and give you plenty of energy to smash out the reps in the gym.

I cannot be negative about a product that includes a proprietary blend I am afraid. There is nothing good about a product which will mask the proportion of ingredients in the blend. It reeks of dishonesty and far too many supplements have one.

The daily dose is not optimal either, there should be twice as much per day to be truly effective, however, that would only ring true if the ingredients themselves were effective…

Which brings me on to the woeful collection of crap.

There are 5 ingredients and only one is considered to be an effective fat burner, that is mostly safe. This product has 4 other ingredients, of which 2 feature in our list of ingredients to avoid, the final ingredient is good for Parkinson’s and extreme fatigue.

This really is missing a plethora or well known and proven ingredients such as B6, B12, Green Tea, Zinc and even Glucomannan as found in the strongest fat burner available.

This is really quite a frustrating product, and a failure for USN on so many levels.

There’s a real lack of overall ingredients which is coupled together with a low dose and proprietary blend. Notwithstanding a couple of ingredients that are best staying well clear of.

It lacks a wealth of proven ingredients in the correct dose, as such, this cannot be recommended.
