I feel obliged to try this because Jim Stoppani always looks so angry. Not only that, his JYM ZMA is a popular choice among those looking to increase testosterone levels. Jim is all about products that work, or at least it is that no nonsense image he portrays, but anyone can be lured by the dirty dollar, so let’s take a look at this and see if he stands by his values.

Acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride – Thought to increase general metabolic activity and to improve cognitive function. Any fat loss appears to be limited to elderly people. There’s a lack of studies for younger and healthier people. There’s a significant dose of 1.5g present which is 1g more than the effort from Quadralean.

Caffeine – Caffeine intake is associated with weight loss through thermogenesis and fat oxidation.

Bitter Orange (Citrus Aurantium) – At present, Citrus aurantium may be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra. However, more studies are needed to establish this definitively.

Cayenne Pepper – The hot and spicy taste of cayenne pepper comes from capsaicin, a compound found in many hot peppers. Capsaicin is known to boost metabolism, causing the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel. This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout.

Green Tea – well known to have many powerful health benefits. Clinical studies suggest that green tea extract may boost metabolism and help burn fat. One study found that the combination of green tea and caffeine improved weight loss and maintenance in people who were overweight and moderately obese. Some researchers think that substances in green tea known as catechins are responsible for the herb’s fat-burning effect. Green tea extract is found in many a good fat burning supplement.

Tyrosine –  It helps in the function of organs responsible for making and regulating hormones, including the adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary glands. It is involved in the structure of almost every protein in the body. There is no proof that tyrosine will improve performance.

Dose:

8 or 12 capsules! WTF?! The good best fat burners out there recommend 4 caps as it provides a nice, consistent and constant amount of ingredients throughout the day for your body to utilize, however, this recommends 2 or 3 doses of 3 caps. That is not really as optimal as spreading them out evenly.

This totals 8310mg per day which is a hefty amount of ingredients on a par with the supplements that utilize powders instead of pills.

At least this is not a proprietary blend…

Effects:

There are 3 ingredients present that are what we would call solid, proven fat burning/metabolizing ingredients. So in that regard this could have a slight effect on weight management. I say slight because they only account for 50% of the whole product which is a wasted opportunity.

Negatives:

3 ingredients have very little in terms of concrete proof that they are effective at anything and they account for 50% of the supplement.

There’s also a lot of text and charts etc on the page about how much better this product is than others, to me that is out dated marketing. If it is that good the results and the ingredients speak for themselves. This shouts insecurity.

We are also all for a steady release of ingredients throughout the day and as much as we love a good amount of ingredients , 12 caps per day is excessively excessive.

All of the best fat burners we have found on the market have a plethroa of working ingredients, nothing half assed or reliant more on anecdotal evidence than hard, scientific studies.

Conclusion:

Angry people cannot shout or glare their way to make us believe this is a wining product, not when there isn’t the evidence behind it to prove it is the best.

Too few fat burning ingredients, too many caps to take each day and could offer much more.

Look up what works and make your decision based on science and results, not marketing.
