Men Seeking To Raise Testosterone Levels Increase
More and more older men are reaching out to improve their testosterone levels after being more aware of the symptoms of low testosterone. Guys in their 40’s and 50’s are realizing that the feeling of sluggishness, erectile dysfunction and general apathy can be treated by raising their levels of testosterone. What used to be a discreet and almost silent suffering can now be identified and treated with readily available products.
Instead of dismissing these feelings of fatigue and a lack of sexual desire as part of the aging process, guys are now seeking help to combat their depleting levels of testosterone.
Professor Lim of the Society for Men’s Health in Singapore has reported that those seeking help with testosterone depletion is 4 times higher than that just 10 years ago. A figure he puts down to better education and a more willingness to talk openly about sex, ageing and symptoms.
It is also reported that those who seek help and advice for raising testosterone levels are in their 50’s and 60’s but does include men in their 40’s and as high as those in their 90’s.
Dr Lee said the men are typically in their late 50s to 60s and are married or have a partner. But the doctors also see a small proportion of men under the age of 40 as well as those above the age of 90.
It must be said that low testosterone doesn’t just affect sexual prowess but also is key for muscle mass, energy levels, bone health, being able to sleep well and cognitive function.
Testosterone will naturally deplete over time as a man ages and diseases can also have an adverse effect, however, modern lifestyles can also be a huge part of the problem. Stress, processed and refined foods along with drug taking, smoking and drinking alcohol are all responsible for for bashing testosterone levels into submission.
And, low T-Levels can be the cause of differing health conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, heart disease and poor cognitive health.
