Nutritive Vitality testo-STAR-one – Natural Testosterone Booster Review
Nutritive Vitality testo-STAR-one – Natural Testosterone Booster Review First Look:
Fucking hell fire!
Yes, this is actually called Testo-star-one. Yes, someone in marketing though that was okay.
Someone thought that it would attract legions of men to increase their testosterone levels because of a slightly odd play on the word testosterone.
Corny, this is.
However, occasionally we have to look past the branding, the dull bottle and everything else that would put us off a product and delve a little deeper in to the hidden depths, because, packaging aside, this could hide something special.
I am not holding my breath though…
Ingredients:
Maca Root – This Peruvian strain of ginseng is great for lifting libido and mood, however, when it comes to raising testosterone levels it has no effect at all. No significant influences on testosterone in any tested demographic I’m afraid.

D3 – Vitamin D is a great Testosterone boosting vitamin that must be taken advantage of to trigger further production of Testosterone in your body.
However, there are two types of Vitamin D. There’s calciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) – we are only interested in cholecalciferol which is D3; this is the type our skin synthesizes from the sun and becomes a hormone which results in the increases in our testosterone.
Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone productions are increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation.

There’s a plenty of articles I have written covering the benefits of D3 you can read about, here, here and here.
Horny Goat Weed – Epimedium, the suspected active component of horny goat weed, appears to act as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, similar to some drugs used for erectile dysfunction.
It does not, however, stimulate testosterone production.

Tribulus – Once again, the old tribulus raises its ugly head.
The problem is that because this has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War people have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down gym.
The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.
In fact, in studies using elite professional Australian rugby players as participants Tribulus did not produce the large gains in strength or lean muscle mass that many manufacturers claim can be experienced.
Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia, TongKat Ali) – Is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.
Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

Zinc – An aphrodisiac and Testosterone Booster.
Zinc is also very important for the functioning of the enzyme, hormone, and immune systems. In very high doses, zinc can act as an aromatase inhibitor and reduce estrogen levels.
It is also a potent antioxidant and can provide benefits for prostate issues.

Fenugreek – Fenugreek is a proven ingredient as found in our benchmark testosterone boosting product; Testofuel.
Research shows that a fenugreek seed extract can reduce daily fat intake in overweight men when taken by mouth at a dose of 392 mg three times daily for 2-6 weeks.

Spanish Pellitory (anacyclus pyrethrum) – Preliminary studies in rats are suggesting that at a dose of 50-150mg per kg of body weight will increase testosterone levels is supplemented for 28 days.
I am 90kg so I would require at least 4500mg going up to 13500mg per day to potentially be effective.
https://examine.com/supplements/anacyclus-pyrethrum/
Dose:
The recommended dose is 3 pills.
This means we get 1905mg per day which is not very competitive nor adequate.
That is disappointing when you consider the best testosterone boosters offer over 1000mg extra.
It is also better to have at least 4 pills and for them to be taken over the course of the day to ensure that your body gets a trickle of the nutrients to work with.
Effects & Benefits:
It is great to see D3, Fenugreek and Zinc.
These are all great, proven and effective testosterone stimulating ingredients that we see featured in test boosters such as TestoFuel.
Spanish Pellitory (anacyclus pyrethrum) is an interesting addition too…
This is because preliminary tests show that it could be potentially a good testosterone boosting ingredients, however, in this case, we are not dosed an adequate amount for someone fairly averaged size such as myself.
Negatives:
I like the fact we have D3 included, most people are deficient in D3 so this is a welcome addition, period.
However, at just 1000iu it is way below what we often see. A dose of 5000iu is not uncommon.
This leads me on to the next problem which has already been mentioned. Anacyclus Pyrethrum is also way too under-dosed to be effective.
At just 200mg as provided here, for me personally, I am around 13300mg too short for there to be any benefit.
Then there’s the list of other ingredients that are not going to help stimulate any additional testosterone production.
Longjack, Tribulus, Maca and Horny Goat Weed are all unproven ingredients, even if they do feature in many products…but they don’t work either.
This means, we are at a stalemate of 50% effective ingredients and 50% ineffective ingredients.
However, with those low doses that deems D3 and Anacyclus Pyrethrum ineffective anyway.
Nutritive Vitality testo-STAR-one – Natural Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:
While this offers Zinc, Fenugreek, D3 and the not so often used Anacyclus Pyrethrum it lacks in so many different areas that it is hard to consider that this will be useful for anything. Plus the dose of the latter two are too low to be entirely optimal and offer any thing worthwhile.
Then we have the low overall dose as well, not to mention the 4 ingredients that are not scientifically proven to work at all.
Effective testosterone boosters should include:
- DAA
- B6
- K2
- Magnesium
- B12
- Oyster
- Ginseng
- Boron
Note that not one of the above ingredients are included in this product.
With the omission of so many ingredients, the woeful dosing plus the additional ineffective ingredients you should buy something effective instead.
