Muscletronic iGPC Power Blend Review
Muscletronic is certainly new to the market and it is difficult to find out where it has appeared from as there seems to be no big name or heritage behind the swish website, however, we have already found that many big brands actually just rely on their heritage to make sales rather than use their expertise and resources to formulate an effective product; Universal Nutrition are particularly guilty of this so I wanted to do my own review.
What has sparked my curiosity of Muscletronic iGPC is that it claims to perform a variety of different functions and we have seen this previous with the Athletics Edge’s APE DARK KNIGHT but that failed miserably to cohesively perform the required functions. How will this new product fair?
First look:
This is certainly marketed to the alpha male, the dominant man or at least that’s what they want their targeted audience to feel. The website is slick, with rippling torso’s and images of muscle cars plus there is an attractive girl feeling aforementioned torso. To conclude, buying this product will immediately make you ripped, drive a cool car and have a chick hanging on to your chest (she would probably get quite annoying when you want to fill the washing machine). There’s also the priceless quote of:
YOU WOULDN’T FUEL YOUR CAR WITH SAWDUST.
So don’t fuel your body with second-rate supplements. For first-rate results, choose Muscletronic.
Well, just to throw something in the mix, I once fueled my ’95 Jeep Cherokee with sunflower oil and vegetable oil and it worked absolutely fine.
One thing I did notice about the website is that the layout did feel awfully familiar…it looks like the TestoFuel website

Ingredients:
ALPHA-GPC – 75MG
VITAMIN B COMPLEX – 17.94MG
ALPHA LIPOIC ACID – 300MG
FORSKOLIN EXTRACT (COLEUS FORSKOHLII) – 250MG
GOLDEN ROOT (RHODIOLA ROSEA) – 150MG
CAFFEINE (ANHYDROUS) – 150MG
L-THEANINE – 150MG
CITRUS AURANTIUM EXTRACT – 100MG
PIPERINE (BLACK PEPPER EXTRACT) – 6.66MG
That is 9 ingredients formulated with the intention of:
- Building Muscle
- Cutting Fat
- Sharpen Your Mind
That’s a fair old demand on as few as 9 ingredients and 2399mg when you consider TestoFuel has 2300mg of just D-Aspartic Acid per day plus the other 7 ingredients! To me, this Muscletronic doesn’t seem like it will stack up, but let’s have a closer look.
Alpha GPC – Appears to have cognitive-enhancing properties (no human evidence exists to support this in otherwise-healthy youth, but it does have support in rodents) and attenuate the rate of cognitive decline in the elderly. In regards to reducing the rate of cognitive decline, alpha-GPC at high doses (1,200 mg) does appear to be somewhat effective – Muscletronic contains a low 75mg.
Vitamin B Complex – We are more interested in Vitamins B6 and B12 as these help with testosterone production. This contains 1.14mg of B6 and 20mcg of B12.
Alpha Lipoic Acid – Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant made by the body. It is found in every cell, where it helps turn glucose into energy. Antioxidants attack “free radicals,” waste products created when the body turns food into energy. Free radicals cause harmful chemical reactions that can damage cells, making it harder for the body to fight off infections.
Forskolin Extract – Forskolin is a chemical found in the roots of the plant Plectranthus barbatus (Coleus forskohlii). This plant has been used since ancient times to treat heart disorders such as high blood pressure and chest pain (angina), as well as respiratory disorders such as asthma. However, no reliable scientific information that shows Coleus forskohlii extracts taken by mouth are effective.
Golden Root – There is some limited evidence that parameters of physical exercise can be improved with rhodiola, but this appears to be limited to untrained persons with numerous studies on trained athletes suggesting that rhodiola does not have an acute ergogenic effect. Despite this, rhodiola appears to be highly reliable in reducing fatigue symptoms.
Caffeine – Caffeine is a powerful stimulant, and it can be used to improve physical strength and endurance. It is classified as a Nootropic because it sensitizes neurons and provides mental stimulation.
L-Theanine – L-Theanine, for the most part, is a relaxing but not sedating amino acid.
Citrus Aurantium (Bitter Orange) – Bitter orange and caffeine, a frequent combination in weight loss and bodybuilding products, can cause high blood pressure and increased heart rate in healthy adults with otherwise normal blood pressure. There is no evidence to suggest that bitter orange is any safer than ephedra.
Piperine – Studies have shown that piperine can enhance the absorption of nutrients. However, an extract of this called BioPerine as found in PrimeMale significantly enhances the absorption of nutrients.

– Testosterone boosting ingredients –
Dose:
4 pills per day. This is a good amount, it helps prevent such an acute peak and trough that can be found with fewer doses in 24 hours.
Effects:
If we break this product down it essentially has 8 ingredients, the piperine merely aids the absorption of the other 8. The caffeine dose is less than found in most high street coffee’s so is not going to have much of an effect (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health/news/8926677/Wake-up-to-caffeine-levels-in-your-espresso-scientists-urge.html). To boot, the Citrus Aurantium can actually be quite dangerous when combined with caffeine!
There’s a bit of evidence to suggest that golden root can improve physical exercise but only on previously untrained people but does help fight fatigue, L-Theanine actually relaxes you (so you have the upper of caffeine working against the relaxing properties found here) and the Forskolin if it were to be proven that when taken orally it would be effective would combat the raised blood pressure that caffeine and the bitter orange provided.
Vitamin B6 and B12 is effective at helping your body produce more testosterone to help build muscle and it is nice to see the inclusion of Alpha Lipoic Acid which fights off free radicals that can damage tissues but they are all in quite low amounts and that includes the poor 75mg serving of Alpha GPC.
Negatives:
There’s not only unproven ingredients here but also ingredients that are fighting each other. It is a bit of a contradictory mess when nothing works cohesively. However, with the overall low amounts of ingredients included you won’t exactly notice this internal fight happening.
TestoFuel contains B6 but has 7 other proven ingredients such as Fenugreek, Oyster Extract, Ginseng, Vitamin D3, K12 etc.
Another thing to note, the company behind Muscletronic is called Ergo Group (www.ergogroup.ae); this is just an investment company. There appears to be no real thinking behind the product other than to cash in on the burgeoning health and fitness market.
My Review Conclusion:
A bizarre product that claims so much and delivers nothing but confusion in a low dose. The conflicting combination of ingredients with the big promises whilst being backed and bankrolled by a faceless investment fund screams “No!” from us here.
There is nothing here that will effectively build muscle, nothing to effectively cut fat and anything for cognitive is just dosed so low there will be no reaction or benefit.
You are better off with a good, proven and solid testosterone booster that will help build more muscle, in turn with a higher testosterone level and more muscle it will help cut fat. Get plenty of free sleep and if you need to focus grab an espresso from the high street with contains way more caffeine in one shot than this provides all day!
This product is ill thought out, not very well researched and overall a poor performance.
