Super Male T v2X Performix Testosterone Booster Review

Super Male T v2X Performix Testosterone Booster Review

Super Male T v2X First Look:

This does look great on the first impression. It is of a very high quality with nice moody black with a nice red, white and blue highlights.

Overall the feel and look is much better than most of the products on the market and this should reflect in the quality of the product, although sometimes this is not the case.

This seems to be an ongoing problem with MuscleTech products that never seem to live up to the quality that is portrayed.

There’s a wealth of ingredients included so i9t is possible at least something will work…we hope!

Ingredients: The Science

3,3′-Diindolylmethane (DIM) – A compound derived from the digestion of indole-3-carbinol, found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and kale. DIM can prevent the conversion of testosterone to estrogen.

Zinc – An aphrodisiac and Testosterone Booster, but it will only raise testosterone levels if the user is deficient in zinc.

Zinc is also very important for the functioning of the enzyme, hormone, and immune systems. In very high doses, zinc can act as an aromatase inhibitor and reduce estrogen levels. It is also a potent antioxidant and can provide benefits for prostate issues.

Vitamin B6 – Vitamin B6 helps testosterone levels by stimulating androgen (a steroid hormone that acts as a precursor for testosterone) receptors in your body, making your testes produce testosterone.

Fenugreek – Fenugreek is a proven ingredient as found in our #3 Testosterone Booster, Testo+ and our benchmark product; Testofuel.

Maca – Although this may increase libido and mood it does nothing for testosterone production at all. You can read more about this and other ingredients that do not work here.

https://examine.com/supplements/Maca/

Vitamin D3 – Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone production is increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation. Read more of the benefits here.

Tongkat Ali – Eurycoma (LongJack) is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

However, there is a lack of evidence for testosterone boosting in humans, although some very limited evidence in animals.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3433727/

Horny Goat Weed – Epimedium, the suspected active component of horny goat weed, appears to act as a phosphodiesterase inhibitor, similar to some drugs used for erectile dysfunction. It does not, however, stimulate testosterone production.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3551978/

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3551978/

Tribulus – Once again, the old tribulus raises its ugly head.  The problem is that because this has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War people have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.

The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

BioPerine (Piper nigrum)The extract of piperine, called BioPerine®  in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine®  significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9619120

Niacinamide (Vit B3) –  Higher amounts of niacin can improve cholesterol levels and lower cardiovascular risks and maybe symptoms for Alzheimer’s . However, the jury is out on these real benefits.

https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/natural/924.html

Vitamin B12 – Studies show that people who are anaemic tend not to have high levels of testosterone because they cannot absorb vitamin B12.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2645631/

L-Dopa (Macuna Pruriens) – This is actually good for treating people with Parkinsons. There’s a mixed bag of results for testosterone but look mainly positive.

Results have shown an increase in testosterone levels in infertile men, however, results are very limited for fertile men. It is effective to reduce cortisol levels – high stress levels can harm testosterone production.

https://examine.com/supplements/mucuna-pruriens/

Caffeine Anhydrous – The purest form of caffeine available.  It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.

This is found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-979-caffeine.aspx?activeingredientid=979

Yohimbe – Related to Yohimbine, Yohimbe is a powerful stimulant and used to increase fat loss as well as assist with erectile dysfunction. Can cause a host of other problems though, this is in out supplements to avoid list.

Supplementation with yohimbine combined with resistance training does not significantly alter the body mass, muscle mass, or performance indicators.

https://examine.com/supplements/yohimbine/

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17214405

Ashwagandha – Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues.

So the question is, are you infertile? If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3863556/

Bitter Orange (Citrus Aurantium) – At present, Citrus aurantium may be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra. However, more studies are needed to establish this definitively.

Bitter orange is possibly unsafe when taken as a supplement for a medical purpose such as weight loss.

Bitter orange, particularly when taken with stimulants such as caffeine or caffeine-containing herbs, increases the risk for high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, stroke, and other severe side effects.
There are reports that bitter orange can trigger headaches, including migraine and cluster headaches, in some people.

Bitter orange can cause sensitivity to the sun. Wear sunblock outside, especially if you are light-skinned.

http://www.hindawi.com/journals/grp/2011/382852/

Synephrine – This increases fat oxidation rate whilst reducing carbohydrate oxidation rate during low to moderate exercise.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27038225

Huperzine A – Some research shows that taking huperzine A by mouth for 4 weeks improves the memory older children and teenagers who complain of memory problems.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-764-huperzine%20a.aspx?activeingredientid=764&activeingredientname=huperzine%20a

Dose:

There is a 4 pills per day recommended dose although we are instructed to take them all at once in the morning.

We prefer 4 pills spread across the day to evenly spread the nutrients out and prevent massive peaks and troughs.

4 pills are the doses of our benchmark products.

A daily serving here is a measly 1121.91mg.

Pros:

We’ve got some great ingredients here which makes a change from all of the crap we generally see on the market. Vitamin D3, Zinc, B12 and B6 are brilliant and found in the best testosterone boosters.

So is DIM and Fenugreek; the Bioperine is great for availability of the nutrients

However, that still leaves us with Maca, Eurycoma, Tribulus and Epimedium which are little to be desired in the testosterone boosting stakes.

Let us not forget the benefits of Caffeine which can provide energy and metabolize fat, however, this is often added to a testosterone booster to mimic the feeling of extra energy often associated with higher testosterone levels.

Synephrine can offer fat reducing benefits and Huperzine can help with memory function.

Cons:

This is so low dosed it really isn’t going to have much effect at all on anyone. This is very disappointing in that regard. In fact it is about one third of the daily dose found in the best testosterone boosters.

Again, more issues come to light with most of the ingredients falling within a proprietary blend.

A proprietary blend essentially hides the exact amount of each ingredient. The problem is, fenugreek and DIM fall within the blend, we have no idea what amounts are present which causes a problem.

The D3 is reassuringly not in the blend but isn’t particularly well dosed at just 1500IU. All of this is exactly as found in the other products under the same name. So the disappointment continues…

It is worth reiterating that in our top 3 rated testosterone boosters they have around 8 solid ingredients which all have proof backing their usefulness and it is the same with fat burner’s too.

To differentiate itself against the other products in the Super Male camp they have included additional ingredients, however, their benefit is to be realized…

Why?

The positive effects of Niacin, Ashwagandha and L-Dopa are to be confirmed.

Then there’s the potentially harmful Bitter Orange and Yohimbe, that ain’t good.

This is also $201.99! There are products which are so much better for nearly a quarter of the price.

Super Male T v2x Conclusion:

This is better than the rest of the Super Male range but only because it offers more ingredients, at a higher price!

But the really good ingredients have not been improved upon, we are still offered the same old low doses and then we are hit with this proprietary blend!

However, there are some small improvements with the addition of Huperzine, Caffeine, B12 and Synephrine.

Take a look at what works to maximize your workouts while not actually raping your pay check.

    1. Yes, GNC seem to release a lot of terrible products which are overpriced and ineffective. They purely sell on the brand heritage and perceived quality.
