Ultimate Nutrition Testostrogrow 2 HP Testosterone Booster Review

Ultimate Nutrition Testostrogrow 2 HP Testosterone Booster First Look:

This looks to promise many muscle enhancing effects.

The purple bottle and black label are very masculine and a bit emo/goth too. Not sure where its heading with that though.

Needless to say, it does stand out from the numerous white, pharma looking products that are on the market pretending to be prescription drugs.

Ingredients:

Hawthorn Berries – At best this ingredient may help with reducing inflammation and blood flow but there’s no concrete evidence to be found regarding increasing testosterone levels. Every article relating to testosterone increases with Hawthorn berries is on a site wanting you to buy them.

Tribulus – The problem is that because Tribulus has been touted about for so long as a bit of a miracle plant extract used by the mysterious Eastern Bloc Olympic Athletes during the Cold War people have started to believe the hype and it is an easily recognizable ingredient the ill informed will have heard about down the gym.  The issue is that it has not been scientifically proven to raise testosterone levels in any shape or form.

Avoid like a medieval plague if you are looking for muscular gainz.

Saw Palmetto – this fatty acid was long touted to help boost testosterone levels, but those claims turned out to be false. It is effective in suppressing prostate growth though. So could help if you are taking steroids or Prohormones.

Chrysin – Laboratory research suggests that chrysin might increase testosterone, but research in humans hasn’t found any effect on testosterone levels. The amount of chrysin that is absorbed from the intestine may be very small, which would make the effects unlikely.

Nettle Root – Good for reducing inflammation and an enlarged prostate but has no effect on testosterone.

Avena Sativa (Oat) – This is a type of oat that has been seen to raise luteinzing hormones in the body, which are a precursor to testosterone and growth hormone. Not a great deal of real, heavy evidence if anything at all but the hallmarks of something good are there. A bit of a gamble. In plenty of T-Boosters that do not work.

Indole-3-carbinol – This is a negative regulator of estrogen.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12840226

Daidzein – Too much of this can inhibit testosterone secretion, quite a bit less has no real affect on testosterone but while tested on mice, it showed that 5mg per kilo of body weight increased testosterone levels.

So what does this suggest? That it is highly dose dependent.

Myself being approximately 92kg would mean that I need 460mg. However, everyone weighs differently so it cannot be a generic weight administered and hoping for the same and best result.

Dose:

We are instructed to take up to 3 pills daily which is a little less than we would prefer.

It would be best just to spread the 4 over the course of the day from the start to ensure your body gets a constant source of nutrients to stimulate testosterone production as with the best testosterone boosters.

A daily dose of 4 pills is a healthy 2745mg.

Effects & Benefits:

There’s not a definite testosterone stimulating ingredient here!

Not one that is reliably dosed anyway.

Sure, we have Indole-3-Carbinol which regulates estrogen.

Then there’s Daidzein but at 30mg per day that person is going to have to weigh 6kg – so a baby basically.

Negatives:

There’s fuck all here that is effective. Nothing that has any scientific evidence to justify the claims.

Even the Daidzein is so hard to dose on a per person basis that it wouldn’t be optimal for everyone and especially when they dose it so painfully low.

Tribulus has decided to make an appearance also, which quite frankly is ridiculous. It just does not work yet it manages to worm its way in to almost every ill researched testosterone booster supplement.

At $59.99 there are plenty of other ways that I would rather spend that money, on beer for instance.

Ultimate Nutrition Testostrogrow 2 HP Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:

This is not effective. It will offer no benefit.

Daidzein needs to be provided as a powder and with a set of weighing scales to ensure you can administer yourself 5mg per kg of body weight to be effective…or at least that is the case in mice anyway.

But everything else? Not a chance of doing anything for you.

There’s nothing which is proven and well regarded such as D3, B6. B12. D-Aspartic Acid, Magnesium or anything for that matter that is found in the most comprehensive and effective testosterone boosters.
