RedCon1 HALO NATURAL ANABOLIC // Is It Legit?
Some anabolic supplements come on to the market with outlandish claims which seem too good to be true.
And, as is usually the case the ‘discussion’ regarding these nutrients and products far outweigh the actual evidence to prove just how they stimulate anabolism.
Have a read through this review where to try to find a glimmer of hope.

My RedCon1 Halo Anabolic Laxogenin Review
I always find it strange when I find supplements that claim to be anabolic yet have very little scientific proof behind the claims. It seems like this product from RedCon1 called Halo maybe trolling us.
And, I was up too late last night trolling and being trolled on Facebook plus shaving my beard (instant weight loss it seems).
I am also selling my house, but as of yet I have not found another house to buy, but the end game is to move much closer to my day job and save around 4 hours per day.
With all this messing around I am feeling low on energy, low on strength, low on size but high on fucking stress.
I am absolutely gagging to be able to spend more time in the gym and increase my overall strength and size, not to mention getting some sprint training in too in order to increase my overall fitness for my great, much lauded rugby comeback.
Is it all too much to ask?
Have I already peaked?
Have I nothing left to give to the world?
Well, I do trial lots of different pre workouts which helps fight the fatigue prior to my training session, but only if it is a good one.
Plus there are a few decent, effective testosterone boosters on the market that I could try and use, however, this new product from RedCon1 stood out to me partly because of its sole ingredient.
TL:DR – Video Review
Who are REDCON1?
REDCON1 was set up with the intention of creating hardcore and effective supplements that could please the amateur fitness fanatic to the most elite military personnel.
They have a multiple of supplements available on offer to help improve performance.
They also have a lot of annoying pop ups on their website which put me off immediately. As soon as I minimised one someone called Xavier appeared in one of those online chats.
Needless to say I did not get to see every supplement as I could not handle Xavier’s flirty chat.
And now my FB page is loaded with their ads too!
Halo Natural Anabolic Claims?
RedCon1 believe that their product of 5-alpha-hydroxy-laxogenin destroys the competition because of its high dose.
Theyclaim that this supplement can do the following:
- Steroid like effects
- Increased recovery
- Suppress cortisol
- Increase nitrogen retention
- Better protein synthesis
RedCon1 HALO Ingredients: The Science
– 5 alpha Hydroxy Laxogenin
This is one of those ingredients whereby the anecdote proceed any scientific proof. A bit like religion…
So, try doing a bit of desktop research and you can sieve through page after page of results and find barely a scrap of reliable clinical research from a reputable source such as a government body or university.
The web is awash with claims that a plant steroid can act like an anabolic steroid, yet all of these articles have no references.
However, let’s discuss what we do know from the scraps of information that we have.
5-Hydroxy Laxogenin was first discovered by an American scientist back in 1996.
However, the theory is that it can increase muscle and protein synthesis while improving muscle recovery.
It is claimed that the anabolic ratio is similar to anavar which is an anabolic steroid.
I have tried Anavar and it was crap.
More surprisingly and considering how much potential this plant steroid supposedly has, there’s only one study available, from Russia.
However, even so that research did not manifest in to any androgenic properties. [1]
So, there’s a lot of promise with this plant steroid but there’s barely any studies to prove just how effective it is.
The next most promising study I could find regarding these brassinosteroids is that they may have some benefit to wound healing.
This study was released in 2013 so fairly contemporary. [2]
How To Take RedCon1 Halo
This is a low overall dose and we are directed to only take up to 2 tablets daily.
We think it is better to continually supply your body with the nutrients required to stimulate more testosterone production, as such 4 tablets spread throughout the day is better advised.
Dose
This dose of 2 tablets amounts to 200mg. Which is not competitive with other products that we have tried and rated.
To avoid confusion, because a reader mentioned this, by saying it is not competitive I mean the overall dose is only 200mg.
To clarify I have yet to see or try another supplement containing more that 200mg of Laxogenin.
However, most other testosterone boosting supplements or supplements of that ilk often contain more than one ingredient and therefore the overall daily dose is usually much higher.
Price
One bottle of RedCon1 Halo costs $64.99
That’s steep for a product that contains just one ingredient.
One ingredient that seems a little off the mark in terms of effectiveness.
Pros
If you are a rat, you may notice that you gain weight and size.
There appears to be no toxicity associated with supplementation that is normally found with anavar which possess’ the similar anabolic/androgenic ratio.
This then, could offer similar gains as found with taking anavar yet without the requirement for organ protection.
However, the proof is limited, in fact it is limited to just one research paper from years ago. Hardly a thorough test.
Cons
There is only one study, and it isn’t on a human. This does not look too promising if we are being honest to ourselves.
While animal studies can relate closely to humans we would expect something that has such anabolic claims to have a little more weight behind it.
We would expect multiple human studies to evaluate any benefits or unwanted side effects that may harm the user.
RedCon1 Halo Side Effects
Very little is known about the effects of brassinosteroids.
This is a brassinosterids, as in it is the plant based version and similar to animal steroid hormones.
However, when tested on rats the lethal dose seemed to be 1000mg per kilogram of body weight.
Based on this information it would theoretically take 90,000mg to have a lethal effect on me.
That is 90g which equates to around two Hershey bars or 450 of these tablets.
My RedCon1 Halo Natural Anabolic Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion
PROS – There’s a glimmer of hope that this may have anabolic or wound healing effects.
CONS – Far too little concrete evidence to confirm that Laxogenin has anabolic benefits.
Let’s not fool ourselves here.
The one study (which was not conducted on a human) is thought to produce a similar effect to Anavar but minus the downsides associated with the mild anabolic steroid.
Yet, it was discovered way back in 1996…and there has only been 1 study on a supposedly potent ingredient.
And, we are really yet to hear of it?
There’s the odd product here and there that contains Laxogenin but my thinking is that if an ingredient is available that can produce similar results to an actual anabolic steroid that is illegal in lots of countries and it does not cause any harmful side effects why on earth hasn’t it been more widely available?
It is easier to buy illegal and potentially harmful steroids than it is this.
Yet we are lead to believe from one study on rats that this is as effective and less harmful.
It just doesn’t stack up and the results won’t either, especially if it is likened to anavar because I noticed no strength, size or fat differences.

I have used 5a hydroxy laxogenin a number of times and always notice an increase in strength and muscle fullness.
Hi Riley,
Any other effects?
Thanks
I honestly can’t thank you enough for this review. I am on my 3rd day on halo and I just feel tired with a headache and feel weird pain in my chest left side. I went with all the good reviews on the product but like you sald there’s no actual scientific research on it so who knows what we are really taking.
Hi,
Thanks for your comments without other user feedback we cannot always get a complete picture.
I used this and felt no effects. Didn’t get stronger either .
Thanks for the feedback.
The supposed effects and ‘proof’ behind this sole ingredient just doesn’t really stack up.
Cheers
How long can you take halo.
How long can you take hall.
Any side effects. + How long can you take hall.
Hi Ken,
There’s such little human research available that it would merely be trial and error for yourself. You are essentially a guinea pig taking this.
Therefore, it is down to whether you want to take the risk of it potentially being harmful (although it is probably unlikely) or just a waste of time and money.
My opinion is that you should probably avoid it and use something else that includes ingredients that are proven to help raise testosterone levels.
Thanks
