My Irwin Naturals Super Citrus Lipo-Burner Fat Cutter Review

My Irwin Naturals Super Citrus Lipo-Burner Fat Cutter Review

My Irwin Naturals Super Citrus Lipo-Burner Fat Cutter Review First Look:

I have just returned from skiing in Bulgaria.

Thankfully, I have arrived home uninjured and with my organs still within my body and not featuring on the Silk Road.

Just before I left the weather at home was horrendous, this meant cycling to work was a quite the grim affair.

The feeling of putting damp clothes on at the end of the day because of the pissing rain in the morning is not a habit I think any cycling commuter is a fan of.

However, in Bulgaria the weather was cold, but generally clear, even at the top of the mountain when we did have a bit of a whiteout the snow wasn’t as bad as a thorough downpour of rain.

Plus, skiing is great exercise. I was absolutely shattered with my body feeling like it had received a good workout.

Each evening I then ruined my calorie burn by drinking about 12 pints of beer…typical.

However, without a mountain to ski down it can be a hard task to ensure that you are getting in enough exercise for effective fat loss.

This is exactly where an effective fat burner can help.

Fat burners can give you that edge whereby you burn the extra calories required which help toward creating that deficit which can lead to fat loss.

This particular fat cutting supplement looks like it has come from the shelves of a health store that sells dried fruit, banana chips and other seeds type foods for those interested in yoga.

Because of this, we automatically assume that it is trustworthy and effective.

Let’s see…I’ve got a load of beer laden calories to burn.

What can a fat burner really do?

You may well be surprised actually.

The idea that an effective fat burner just magically makes your waist smaller is far from the truth.

However, only the effective fat burners contain a number of ingredients in correct doses that work harmoniously and through a number of outcomes help you lose fat mass, not muscle.

Their benefits include, but are not limited to:

  • Increase energy – This will help you be more active and stimulate you for effective workouts
  • Thermogenic – These ingredients will increase the temperature of your core which increases calorie expenditure
  • Appetite control – The ability to feel fuller and not to fall for sweet, calorie laden treats

As a result I tend to supplement my exercise regime with a fat burner supplement.

I have found Instant Knockout to offer the best results and as a result I try to use that daily.button-4

Ingredients: The Science

IRWIN NATURAL LIPO-BURNER INGREDIENTS PANEL

Flax Seed

Supplementation shows a decease in testosterone levels and helps combat hirsutism.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2752973/

Zingiber Officinale (Ginger)

Whilst tested in rats extract of Zingiber Officinale significantly increased in the relative weight of the testis, the serum testosterone level, testicular cholesterol level and epididymal a-glucosidase activity.

However, these rats were given 600mg per kilo of body weight daily. So that is a fuck load you would need.

Ginger has a great ability to reduce body weight without inhibiting pancreatic lipase level, or affecting bilirubin concentration, with positive effect on increasing peroxisomal catalase level and HDL-cholesterol.

Black Pepper / Piper Nigrum (BioPerine)

The extract of piperine, called BioPerine®  in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.

BioPerine®  significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

Sinetrol-XPur

Supplementation is a viable option for reducing abdominal fat, waist and hip circumference, and body weight and for improving inflammatory, glycemic, and oxidative status in healthy overweight individuals.

While the effects are positive for fat loss, it is more effective at reducing inflammation and oxidative stress than anything.

Tangerine Peel

The peel seems to be able to lower cholesterol according to studies.

Peel derived compounds are digested and metabolized effectively, moreso than juice.

Orange Peel

This is often referred to as Citrus Aurantium and Bitter Orange.

At present, Citrus aurantium may be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra. However, more studies are needed to establish this definitively.

Research suggests that orange peel can be unsafe when taken as it may increase the likelihood of heart problems.

Bitter orange, particularly when taken with stimulants such as caffeine or caffeine-containing herbs, increases the risk for high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, stroke, and other severe side effects.

There are reports that bitter orange can trigger headaches, including migraine and cluster headaches, in some people.

Bitter orange can cause sensitivity to the sun. Wear sunblock outside, especially if you are light-skinned.

Lemon Peel

Another common citrus fruit rind.

And, just like Orange extract this may increase skin sensitivity to the sun.

However, overall, this seems to have less dangerous and potentially troublesome side effects as Orange extract which is good to hear.

The problem being, is that it doesn’t really seem to have much benefit when it comes to weight loss according to the studies.

Dose:

Six soft gels per day to be taken. This is to be split in to two doses of three.

We prefer at least 4 pills spread out across the course of the day to ensure our body has a constant supply of ingredients to process rather than peaks and troughs.

If you get too much of certain ingredients, that what the body doesn’t need at the time will be wasted and you will not feel the benefit.

Therefore, if you have a massive dose of Magnesium for instance yet your body is still processing and utilizing Magnesium from a meal you’ve recently had it will only use what is required.

What the body doesn’t require at the time will let it pass. Thus, a higher chance of waste and less benefits.

It is better to have a continued trickle effect.

This results in a daily dose of 3306mg which is on a par with the most effective competitors.

Pros:

You would buy this supplement based alone on the packaging.

As already mentioned it has the look of a natural and trustworthy product that would be found in shops that are not necessarily related to body building but overall health.

As a result, the ingredients panel may not often be observed or analyzed.

With this in mind, it may comes a s a bit of a shock to learn that there seems to be just three ingredients that can help with reducing fat mass.

These are:

  • Tangerine Peel
  • Sinetrol Xpur
  • Ginger

However, Tangerine seems to offer more benefit as a cholesterol reduction ingredient rather than an out and out fat burner.

Sinetrol-Xpur works more effectively as a an anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory agent which then has knock effects for fat loss.

Not many people know that high levels of inflammation can cause chronic diseases such as obesity and unbalance hormone levels which is not healthy.

In high quantities Ginger has the ability to increase testosterone levels, however, these quantities are far from practical.

However, as a fat burner is has benefit and it can raise the levels of HDL cholesterol which is the good cholesterol cleaning the arteries of bad cholesterol.

Bioperine’s benefits are that it can help increase absorption of the other ingredients meaning your body to can use them better.

Overall the dose is high, which is pleasing to see.

Cons:

There are seven ingredients included within this fat burner supplement yet only three have an fat loss benefits.

That’s not to say the others do not provide any health benefit at all, however, when it comes to reducing fat, we want a focused supplement that can offer a plethora of combined ingredients able to stimulate fat burn.

We also want to ensure that it is safe, and this is where this can be potentially troublesome.

With Orange peel included this has the possibility of causing cardiovascular problems, it can also increase sensitivity to the sun as can the included Lemon peel.

Flaxseed seems to help if you are struggling with hirsuteness, but it can lower testosterone levels which may contribute to an unwanted hormone imbalance.

As already mentioned, we want a plethora of safe and effective fat burning ingredients which these seems to omit such as:

  • B12
  • B6
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Glucomannan
  • Green Tea
  • Cayenne
  • Chromium
  • Green coffee

This also contains a bit of a proprietary blend

This means we have no idea of the exact breakdown per ingredient and how much we are actually getting.

I some cases this can be dangerous, in others it is just a rip off tactic used by manufacturers to include less ingredients.

It certainly does not offer the fat burning performance we want nor is available in other fat burning supplements such as Instant Knockout.

My Irwin Naturals Super Citrus Lipo-Burner Fat Cutter Review Conclusion:

You may have heard the expression that people eat with their eyes.

People also buy with their eyes, too.

Based on the packaging and imagery lots of people will buy this fat burner supplement because it looks trustworthy and safe.

However, this contains fewer ingredients that can help reduce fat mass than are proven not to, plus it also contains an ingredient that can potentially cause headaches, fainting or even a heart attack not to mention sensitivity to sunlight.

Then, it throws in another ingredient that can cause sensitivity to sunshine meaning the risk is high taking this supplement that it would be with others.

There’s also a proprietary blend included which essentially conceals the amounts of each ingredient.

However, the main issues here is that there’s a real lack of ingredients that can work together to stimulate a higher rate of calorie expenditure.

Anything else worth adding to this review..?

Yes, there are some other products such as those in our top 3 fat burners are more far more attractive propositions.
