My Nutramino +PRO Pre Workout THE EXTREME RUSH Review
My Nutramino +PRO Pre Workout THE EXTREME RUSH Review First Look:
Having been away for over two weeks and feeling unfit I decided that with jet lag out of the way it was time to hit the gym again and make some gainz.
I also changed my number of reps up too.
However, even though jet lag was over, being back home and getting in to the routine was difficult.
I was all over the place, being back home in the miserable cold after scorching temperatures in Australia and then being back at work after 20 hours flying time.
I also had loads to catch up on, and these were basically just chores around the house.
So, to rev me up and get me in the mood for lifting I reached for this EXTREME RUSH pre workout from Nutramino.
Having already used their little ready to drink shots I wanted to see what they had done to improve upon considering this seems to be the next step for the brand.
While in powder format rather than a handy and convenient shot, it was good to give it a good going over and see if it could breach the lull I was facing.
Ingredients: The Science
Beta-alanine
Supplementation of this non essential amino acid aids the production of carnosine.
That’s a compound that plays a role in muscle endurance in high-intensity exercise.
That said, studies have not exactly been positive nor entirely conclusive.

Caffeine
It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.
Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form of caffeine so always look out for it.
This is found in 4 Gauge which is the best pre-workout.
It is also found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

L-Arginine
This is found in many pre workout supplements or products designed to make you more vascular.
L-Arginine opens up the blood vessels and arteries to assist with blood flow, nothing really to do with testosterone but may assist with any impotency issues that are not helping you attain that hot chick in the gym who is 15 years your junior.
However, you will require 5g per day alone!

Capsicum (Cayenne)
Known to boost metabolism, cayenne causes the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel.
This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout.

Taurine
It has been touted that Taurine can help mental performance.
Early clinical research suggested that taurine, in combination with caffeine, glucuronolactone, and B vitamins, can improve attention and reasoning in adolescents, but does not improve memory.
However, there is insufficient evidence to prove this is always the case.

Black Pepper / Piper Nigrum (BioPerine)
The extract of piperine, called BioPerine® in the patented form, has been clinically tested in the United States.
BioPerine® significantly enhances the bioavailability of various supplement nutrients through increased absorption.

Vitamin C
Its antioxidant properties mean vitamin C provides neuroprotective effects and benefits for blood flow.
By protecting the testes from oxidative stress, vitamin C can also preserve testosterone levels.

Dose:
On heaped scoop 30 minutes before your workout.
This would total just over 11,000mg – which is more than I expected from such a small scoop.
However, it doesn’t compare very well to many of the best pre workout supplements which will offer over 15,000mg.
Pros:
There’s a total of seven ingredients included in this pre workout formula that is marketed as EXTREME.
If we also break this down to the actual ingredients that will offer some sort of performance benefit this then dwindles to a lackluster two!
Yes, all we have here that will help with immediate performance is:
- Caffeine
- L-Arginine
That is not a great deal of benefit.
Okay, it would be wrong to completely ignore that there are benefits associated with Vitamin C and Cayenne, however, these are more suited in other supplements such as a natural test booster or a fat burner.
How Did It Feel?
Now, this was quite a strange one for me.
The taste wasn’t too bad, a sour apple flavor that is fairly common throughout these sort of stimulant supplements.
However, the sensation felt was essentially a headache.
Yep, I got a headache. The front of my head started to hurt, and other than that I didn’t feel a great deal of difference.
I headed to the gym though and did a workout. I hit my upper body as I didn’t feel the desire or determination to smash any deadlifts.
So, maybe this was all a bit lacking.
Cons:
This omits some proven and beneficial ingredients that can really stimulate a great workout session.
It seems such a missed opportunity when only two of several ingredients have the ability theoretically improve athletic performance.
You may wonder why I say theoretically…
Well, while there is a 200mg dose of Caffeine which is much more than a cup of coffee, the amount of Arginine is well below the required 5,000 mg required to dilate the blood vessels to increase blood flow.
Essentially this leaves us with just one ingredient that will help towards improving physical and mental performance.
It is important to state that the included Beta-Alanine and Taurine do not have any proof to demonstrate their lauded effectiveness
That is not a very positive result for a product which stems from such a large company.

My Nutramino +PRO Pre Workout THE EXTREME RUSH Review Conclusion:
I used this pre workout to try and eradicate my jet lag.
However, all it managed to adequately do is give me a headache. This was not expected.
Then, digging deep in to the ingredients it is clear to see that only two can theoretically increase athletic or mental performance, yet, one of the two is under dosed to be effective.
That means we are left with just one ingredients – Caffeine – to help us work harder in the gym.
Well, Caffeine is easily obtainable and can be had very cheaply.
Plus, there’s many common and effective ingredients that are found in many other pre workout supplements that this omits, such as:
- Coconut water
- Rhodiola
- Carnitine
- Creatine
- Zinc
- Beet
- Magnesium
- Theanine
- B6
- Tyrosine
- B12
There is a better product than this that will get you fired up and cause hell in your chosen sport.
