My Nutramino +Pro Pre Workout Review

My Nutramino +Pro Pre Workout Review

My Nutramino +Pro Pre Workout Review First Look:

I must admit, I am tired today.

Not sure what has caused it exactly as I got a great nights sleep last night and the only physical exercise so far has been cycling my commute.

Either way, with deadlifts on the horizon I need plenty of energy, but since I have been hitting the gym with my buddy, the atmosphere in my basement does seem quite draining.

I mean, I am not being ungrateful here, having the space in my own house to be able to lift some weights is great, but sometimes being in the cold and damp with nothing to look at can get a bit depressing.

So, what I need is a good hit of energy, focus and strength to get me through it.

Normally, pre workout supplements come in the form of a powder. This is fairly convenient.

You can have the powder in your shaker then fill with water and mix.

However, the powder covers your car or kitchen in a fine dust which makes you sneeze.

Then you have to carry a big shaker everywhere with you.

It can be a pain in the ass.

These little shots can be kept in your pocket, car or bag and just whipped out and drank super quick when required.

I like this level of convenience.

Ingredients: The Science

>RELATED: We’ve tried and tested the best pre-workout supplement HERE!

Beta-alanine  – Supplementation of this non essential amino acid aids the production of carnosine.

That’s a compound that plays a role in muscle endurance in high-intensity exercise.

That said, studies have not exactly been positive nor entirely conclusive.

Arginine-alpha-ketoglutarate (AAKG) – Tests on supplementation draw no real benefit that would not be found from resistance training itself.

Vitamin B6 – Using it in its most natural form, pyridoxine, B6 is an essential nutrient to raising the body’s metabolism and aiding the fat burning process.

Caffeine – It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form of caffeine so always look out for it.

This is found in 4 Gauge which is the best pre-workout.

It is also found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) – Gives you more energy and boost your metabolism, helping you shed unwanted pounds. Ensure you are not deficient in Vitamin B12 so you can do that quick 10 miler at 5am…

Dose:

One bottle before your workout.

This would total just over 4201mg – which is more than I expected from such a small offering, but it isn’t particularly competitive.

In fact it doesn’t compare very well to many of the best pre workout supplements which will offer over 15,000mg.

Pros:

There’s a total of five ingredients included in this pre workout shot.

However, only three are worth mentioning for their benefits, because it is only this three that can offer proven effects to increase energy.

  • Caffeine
  • B12
  • B6

These are found in many of the best pre workout supplements due to their benefits.

The 200mg of Caffeine is a solid dose and matches many other supplements.

How Did It Feel?

I immediately felt tingly all over. My head was tingling as were my shoulders, I felt a bit more awake but that was it.

It is quite good for a hangover…

I guess in that respect, it did have a positive effect but it didn’t perform like many of the more complete offerings.

Cons:

This overall dose is not the best available. In fact, it falls rather short than most, especially those that are effective.

There’s only three proven ingredients that can help improve performance.

Unfortunately it seems the best Beta-Alanine can muster is a tingly sensation that can make you believe something much bigger is happening.

However, that is at least better than AAKG which doesn’t seem to be able to offer any proven athletic benefit at all!

My Nutramino +Pro Pre Workout Review Conclusion:

This is at least, not a proprietary blend but it does offer too few ingredients to be really beneficial to your workout.

Not to mention a low overall daily dose that could be improved.

Plus, there’s many common and effective ingredients that are found in many other pre workout supplements that this omits, such as:

  • Coconut water
  • Rhodiola
  • Carnitine
  • Creatine
  • Zinc
  • Beet
  • Magnesium
  • Theanine
  • B6
  • Tyrosine

There is a better product than this that will get you fired up and cause hell in your chosen sport.

As a result of taking this, other than feeling like I had  had a couple of espressos’ I didn’t get a great deal of focus or positive effects.

It was just a bit lackluster.
