Buying a testosterone booster

When looking for a testosterone booster or pretty much anything you need these days, it is so much easier to buy online.

I very rarely buy anything from a shop, even cars.

I prefer not to be hassled, I prefer to be able to look through the details in the comfort of my own home with no one closely monitoring me or trying to close me on a deal.

As a result I tend to use eBay when scouring for motors, and, at present I am looking for a small capacity 125cc motorbike.

I ask myself why I would bother heading over to GNC to read through tons of ingredients or loads of bottles when I can do the research for products at my desk and slowly analyse before making a decision, not one based upon a tutting sales rep who clearly doesn’t lift.

With this in mind, one of the first stops for anyone in the market for supplements is Amazon.

Heck, anyone in the market for anything who cannot bare the thought of heading in to a shop will probably head to Amazon.

Amazon is like the biggest department store ever. All the brands and retailers can offer their products, and in a way, it seems that eBay is also heading in this direction.

We can also identify which are the best selling products too for each genre, in that respect, you may wish to follow the herd and go with that.

However, you must remember, the people voted for the Nazi’s, so the people are not always right.

However, the problem with these sort of online ‘marketplace’ type sites is that nearly any one can start selling products with little screening or quality control to the unsuspecting public.

There’s also the threat and real issue of fake reviews and plenty of copied products with mere branding changes.

So, I wanted to find out just how good or not, these best selling testosterone boosters are and if they live up to the hype.

Luckily, we’ve done the research, we’ve tested the products and we have listed the best 3 and most effective natural testosterone booster’s, here.

These are the most popular 5 test boosters on Amazon

#1 Prime Labs Prime Test Booster

This sits at the top spot of the popularity stakes and it is actually extremely hard to see why.

This product is merely a copy of many other test boosters on the market, right down the the ingredients and doses.

While this does not consist of a proprietary blend like many products do, the fact there’s only one reliable and proven ingredient known to stimulate natural testosterone production should turn you away.

Sales for this must be purely down to the cheap price and potential advertising, it is not as if they have put a great deal in to the branding of the product.

This should be number one for the garbage!

Good:

  • Boron and Nettle help inflammation
  • Calcium can help increase T levels

Bad:

  • Very few proven ingredients
  • Too much calcium can cause artery plaque
  • Proprietary blend
  • Only half a month supply

#2 MuscleTech Pro Series Alpha Test

If sales of products like this reflect image and branding, surely this offering from MuscleTech’s Pro Series would be at the top of the pile.

As it is, the smartly presented Alpha Test sits in a number two.

However, if history has a habit of repeating itself the performance of other MuscleTech products has been far from exemplary…

MuscleTech release vast numbers of products with mere tweaks to the ingredient profile ensuring they have a good chance of snaring at least one or two buyers…or many thousands as seems to be the case.

However, with just four proven ingredients included, it lags far behind other alternative test boosters on the market regardless of how nice the packaging looks.

Good:

  • Three proven ingredinets

Bad:

  • Low dose
  • Shilajit is banned in Canada
  • Tribulus isn’t proven to be beneficial

#3 Evlution Nutrition EVLTEST

Now we are making a bit of progress! This modestly priced natural testosterone booster is making great headway in the T booster world and for good reason.

It has eight ingredients available and seven of those are proven to encourage testosterone production.

It almost seems too perfect, however, it does lack other proven ingredients found in some better test boosters and it also includes tribulus which is definitely not proven to help increase natural test levels.

While this is good, it is also a missed opportunity.

Good:

  • Six proven T-boosting ingredients
  • Estrogen regulator ingredient

Bad:

  • Includes Tribulus
  • Excludes other proven ingredients
  • Low dose of vit. D3

#4 Iron Brothers Testosterone Booster

This supplement plays on the old school marketing techniques by offering something that looks aggressive, underground and almost illegal.

However, when you quickly scan the ingredients you could be mistaken in to thinking this test booster will offer a good amount of benefit.

However, the several effective ingredients are almost squeezed out of play by the few numbered but much higher dosed unproven ingredients that really hinder the value and benefit of taking this at all.

A low price helps, but, buy cheap and you’ll pay twice.

Good:

  • Five proven ingredients

Bad:

  • Really low dose of the effective ingredinets
  • Omits lots of other proven ingredients
  • Four ingredients that are not proven to work

#5 Nugenix Natural Testosterone Booster

We have had a nice mix of premium looking products in the line up and those, that quite frankly do not look premium at all.

This seems to fall within the former, but not really in the realms of a test booster. You would be forgiven for thinking it is a post shave balm or a moisturizer.

Alas it is not, it is supposedly a testosterone booster.

However, you will have a good job trying to get it to do anything positive or offer any benefit.

This is because it only includes a small number of total ingredients, all are not proven to stimulate testosterone production and the doses are almost minuscule.

Did I mention that part of this is a proprietary blend, too? No. Well now you know, and what you should avoid if you want the benefits of an increased level of testosterone.

Good:

  • Four great and proven test boosting ingredients

Bad:

  • The good ingredients are dosed extremely low
  • Proprietary blend

Is it worth following the crowd?

Not by judging the performance of these test boosters it isn’t.

These results are probably based on how much they have been promoted on Amazon as a ‘featured’ product and cost.

Apart from EVLTEST, not one other is really worth bothering with.

They either lack the required proven ingredients or they come in doses that are too low to be beneficial.

There’s nothing ground breaking here and even EVLTEST isn’t without its shortcomings.

We must reiterate that research on the included ingredients is paramount every time you look to buy a supplement.

There’s very little regulation and online marketplaces such as Amazon offer very little protection from unscrupulous companies trying to make a fast buck.

As ever, it is safer to buy direct from the manufacturer to ensure quality and to avoid counterfeits.

Many now even accept Amazon pay or PayPal to make the process easier and quicker.
