REVIEWED: Applied Nutrition Green Tea Triple Fat Burner

Applied Nutrition Green Tea Triple Fat Burner First Look:

I am shattered. Too tired to do any cardio that is for sure but I think I will hit the weights in about 40 minutes.

I will try our another pre workout too, so keep tabs on what I think is the best at he moment.

But weights do get me fired up and by the time I have finished I am running around like a nincompoop and it is time for bed, not a 5 mile run round the block.

However, a lack of decent cardio can lead to an increase of body fat and that’s what we want to try and avoid. Not only is it unsightly, too much of it can be a killer not to mention the other associated issues that come with being overweight. You’re medical insurance won’t get any cheaper either.

If luck would have it I have before me a Green Tea Triple Fat Burner. A gift from the God’s it seems. An answer to my prays and problems (maybe not all of them).

It looks bright and inviting enough and far better than most of the black identical bottles with a shoddy label on it. This would also appeal tot he female buyer too. It’s like CKone of the fat burner world.

Black Tea (Camellia sinensis) – Drinking black tea and other caffeinated beverages throughout the day helps to keep people alert, even after extended periods without sleep.

White Tea – It is generally regarded that any form of tea is good, and white tea has even more concentrated antioxidants than even green tea plus more anticancer properties.

White Tea is supposed to stimulate the metabolism and help burn calories but I can find no real science behind these claims anywhere unless it is a website trying to attract more traffic.

Folic Acid (Vit. B9) – There’s many benefits of Folic Acid, treating kidney problems is one of them.

Folic acid can also help produce more testosterone along with B12 but also necessary to form red blood cells and is also necessary in the formation of DNA.

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) – Gives you more energy and boost your metabolism, helping you shed unwanted pounds. Ensure you are not deficient in Vitamin B12 so you can do that quick 10 miler at 5am…

Niacin (B3) –  Higher amounts of niacin can improve cholesterol levels and lower cardiovascular risks. However, the jury is out on these real benefits.

Vitamin E – Humans in tests have shown to have low testosterone if they are deficient of Vitamin E.

Vitamin C – Its antioxidant properties mean vitamin C provides neuroprotective effects and benefits for blood flow. By protecting the testes from oxidative stress, vitamin C can also preserve testosterone levels.

Green Tea – well known to have many powerful health benefits. Clinical studies suggest that green tea extract may boost metabolism and help burn fat.

One study found that the combination of green tea and caffeine improved weight loss and maintenance in people who were overweight and moderately obese.

Some researchers think that substances in green tea known as catechins are responsible for the herb’s fat-burning effect. Green tea extract is found in many a good fat burning supplement.

Bitter Orange (Citrus Aurantium) – At present, Citrus aurantium may be the best thermogenic substitute for ephedra.

However, more studies are needed to establish this definitively.

Bitter orange is possibly unsafe when taken as a supplement for a medical purpose such as weight loss.

Bitter orange, particularly when taken with stimulants such as caffeine or caffeine-containing herbs, increases the risk for high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, stroke, and other severe side effects.

There are reports that bitter orange can trigger headaches, including migraine and cluster headaches, in some people.

Bitter orange can cause sensitivity to the sun. Wear sunblock outside, especially if you are light-skinned.

Caffeine – This can assist with endurance, tested athletes saw an edge from caffeine in scientific studies. In some trials, the stimulant boosted athletes’ speed. In others, it helped them last longer before they spent all their energy.

Caffeine also raises the metabolism which means you burn more calories. Some studies show that it can curb soreness after exercise, too. This means you could get back to your training sooner and training means more calories burnt. This is present in all 3 of our Top Fat Burners.

Caffeine Anhydrous is the purest form so always look for that.

Vitamin B6 – Comprising three chemically distinct compounds pyridoxal, pyridoxamine, and pyridoxine, is involved in the regulation of mental function and mood.

Vitamin B6 is also an essential homocysteine re-methylation cofactor, and deficiency is associated with increase in blood homocysteine levels. Homocysteine is a risk factor for cerebrovascular disease and may also have directly toxic effects on neurons of the central nervous system.

Neuropsychiatric disorders including seizures, migraine, chronic pain and depression have been linked to vitamin B6 deficiency.

The advice is to take 4 tablets daily which equates to just under 1851mg.

This is less the best fat burners offer and they tend to advise taking 4 tablets spread over the course of a day.

Effects & Benefits:

There’s only 4 beneficial ingredients here that we can benefit from.

These 4 ingredients are proven to either directly help you burn more calories through thermogenic effects or provide the energy required to smash up that cardio session.

Now there is also Citrus Aurantium which can help you lose weight, however, it is marred by the significant problems it can cuase ranging from headaches to a heart attack.

Vitamins B9, E and C will all have benefits as will black tea, especially for concentration and preventing fatigue, in fact a cup of black tea would sort me out now.

White Tea has antioxidant and anticancer properties but for fat burn nothing seems to be scientifically proven.

Citrus Aurantium for a start of which both can potentially cause cardiovascular (read heart) problems especially when combined with caffeine which is also present in this fat burner supplement.

The overall daily dose is lacking somewhat compared to its competitors, and we are not just talking small amounts, no there’s over 1000mg less with this per day.

Then let’s consider of the 10 ingredients we are only benefiting from 4 safe, fat burning ingredients. That’s less than 50% effective.

Now it would be unfair to label the other 60% as entirely useless because they’re not but we have bought this to burn fat, metabolize fat and generally just lose that bastard fat!

It just irritates me when these products start to digress in to providing other ‘benefits’. The best fat burners have around 10 solid, proven fat burning ingredients not fucking antioxidants.

Applied Nutrition Green Tea Triple Fat Burner Review Conclusion:

This isn’t an expensive supplement by any stretch of the imagination. In that respect it is worth what it offers.

In fact this offers much more than many ‘premium’ products that have even less effective fat burning ingredients.

However, what are we here for? Not to find mediocre products, not to find the most expensive or the cheapest.

We’re here to find the most effective, and, while this isn’t ‘bad’ it isn’t the most effective thus far.

It hasn’t got the best dose.

It doesn’t have a full profile of the best ingredients.

But is does have a few good ingredients and it doesn’t comprise of a proprietary blend.

As a result it achieves a fair midway score…pretty much mirroring my whole academic career. ‘Not bad, could do better’.
