Cellucor P6 Ultimate Testosterone Booster Review

Cellucor P6 Ultimate Testosterone Booster Review

Cellucor P6 Ultimate Testosterone Booster Review First Look:

Now much of the worse remnants of the weekends excess has almost disappeared I will soon be cycling home to hit the gym, but only once I have hit the grocery store.

Then, once home and fed I will be deadlifting, hitting chest, shoulders and back.

I never do accessory lifts as such and rely on the big lifts to have their impact on my arms and calves.

The big compound lifts are what stimulate the most secretion of testosterone and build those big muscles and strength.

If you want to go even further down the natural route, the next thing to consider is a natural testosterone booster. These include ingredients that also stimulate testosterone production.

However, not all testosterone boosters are equal.

Some offer a plethora of widely regarded useless ingredients that are so commonly used it’s got to the point everyone thinks they must work, regardless of the scientific studies available for everyone to see.

Others actually do include a good number of proven and effective ingredients that can help stimulate more of that wanted growth hormone.

The stuff we want. I have already offered up the best testosterone boosters I have found on the market, however, I am always looking for something that offers that bit extra and can help me increase my strength even moreso.

This particular product from Cellucor’s never ending range offers itself in a matt black effect bottle which is incredibly difficult to distinguish from its fat burner sibling.

Eitherway, it has a special forces feel and look to it which will no doubt be popular.

Ingredients:

D3 – Vitamin D is a great Testosterone boosting vitamin that must be taken advantage of to trigger further production of Testosterone in your body.

However, there are two types of Vitamin D. There’s calciferol (vitamin D2) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) – we are only interested in cholecalciferol which is D3; this is the type our skin synthesizes from the sun and becomes a hormone which results in the increases in our testosterone.

Research by the US Library of Medicine has shown that testosterone productions are increased with Vitamin D3 supplementation.

There’s a plenty of articles I have written covering the benefits of D3 you can read about, herehere and here.

Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia, TongKat Ali) – Is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent.

Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

Fenugreek – Fenugreek is a proven ingredient as found in our benchmark testosterone boosting product; Testofuel.

Research shows that a fenugreek seed extract can reduce daily fat intake in overweight men when taken by mouth at a dose of 392 mg three times daily for 2-6 weeks.

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-733-FENUGREEK.aspx?activeIngredientId=733&activeIngredientName=FENUGREEK

Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) – Studies have shown that treatment with Ashwagandha root extract resulted in a higher level of testosterone and a concomitant increase in serum levels of LH among infertile men having sub-optimal testosterone levels.

It’s difficult to see if the same result would be found with guys who do not have any fertility issues. So the question is, are you infertile?

If you’ve been banging your missus (or even your mistress, we shouldn’t be even talking if you have smashed your sister) unprotected and have miraculously not had a sprog you probably are infertile…sorry to break that to you, bro.

However, you are probably in look because only 12% of men throughout the whole world are infertile, and even then, that is a generous estimate by the World Health Authority.

Ovine Placenta Powder – I cannot find any journals or scientific studies to prove that this will increase testosterone.

The only information which relates to testosterone was on websites advocating this product which seems a bit one sided.

Otherwise it seems if you are a well financed housewife there are plenty of London health clinics that will happily take many of your British pounds in exchange to rub a sheep placenta on your face.

Nettle Root – Good for reducing inflammation and an enlarged prostate but has no effect on testosterone.

Agaricus Bisporus – White button mushrooms to you and me, these are seen to be a aromatase inhibitor, therefore they reduce the production of estrogen which can maintain a higher testosterone level.

If a man suffers from too much estrogen they can get bitch tits – puffy nipples.

DIM (Diindolylmethane) – Diindolylmethane appears to promote a healthy balance of testosterone in the body and is found in vegetables such as broccoli.

Cruciferous vegetables which contain high levels of DIM such as broccoli are eaten by many professional athletes such as rugby league players for their benefits.

NITROSIGINE – This is a patented bonding of Arginine and Silicate.

Daily doses prior to workout significantly increased pre-workout energy levels, increased muscle pump immediately following a workout, and decreased biomarkers of muscle damage immediately after a workout and during recovery.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4595023/

Alpha-glycerylphosporylcholine (Alpha GPC) – Appears to have cognitive-enhancing properties (no human evidence exists to support this in otherwise-healthy youth, but it does have support in rodents) and attenuate the rate of cognitive decline in the elderly.

In regards to reducing the rate of cognitive decline, alpha-GPC at high doses (1,200 mg) does appear to be somewhat effective – we do not know the exact amount here, it is likely to be low though because the blend it’s within is only 1225mg.

https://examine.com/supplements/alpha-gpc/

Zembrin (Sceletium tortuosum) – Initial tests cite that it’s possible in promoting a sense of wellbeing and relieving stress in healthy individuals and for treating clinical anxiety and depression.

This was based on 25mg being administered but we do not know how much is included in this because of the proprietary blend.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3828542/

L-Arginine – This is found in many pre workout supplements or products designed to make you more vascular.

L-Arginine opens up the blood vessels and arteries to assist with blood flow, nothing really to do with testosterone but may assist with any impotency issues that are not helping you attain that hot chick in the gym who is 15 years your junior.

However, you will require 5g per day alone!

http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-875-larginine.aspx?activeingredientid=875&

Dose:

We are instructed to take 5 pills, however, this is just before breakfast or lunch rather than throughout the day.

It is better to have the pills to be taken over the course of the day to ensure that your body gets a trickle of the nutrients to work with.

The 5 pills provides 3500.08mg per day which is not massive considering all of the pills.

Effects & Benefits:

This testosterone booster only includes 2 ingredients which can help stimulate testosterone production. This, quite frankly, is a shocking.

Therefore, while it is a relief to see D3 and Fenugreek as they are often so present in the best testosterone boosters, to just have these two ingredients present is not exactly optimal.

There is an anti-inflammatory ingredient such as Nettle which can help preserve testosterone levels because too much inflammation lowers levels.

Then to see DIIM and white button mushroom is reassuring, because this regulates estrogen. Too much estrogen also negatively affects testosterone levels too.

Nitrosigine is good for increased energy levels and prevent muscle damage after a workout.

Arginine is good if dosed adequately as can Zembrin and Alpha GPC.

Negatives:

You may have felt my distaste at just 2 ingredients offer benefit to increase testosterone levels.

Okay, so there’s a further 3 ingredients that can help preserve testosterone levels but we actually want to increase them!

Nitrosigne is a good inclusion and so would the other 3 ingredients that can help with cognition and increase a pump but because they fall within an inadequately dosed proprietary blend they offer no benefit at all.

Which leads me on to the proprietary blend…

We only know how much of vitamin D3 is included, this is an adequate, but not massive 3333iu.

The rest are hidden within the secretive blend. Considering 5000mg of Arginine is required to be effective it speak volumes about the product as a whole when it walls within a blend that offers less than 50% of that required amount.

The reality is, we are probably offered minimal amounts and then a lot of bulking agent.

Cellucor P6 Ultimate Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion:

So it offers just 2 proven ingredients to stimulate testosterone production.

Not only does it omit excellent, effective and proven ingredients often found in supplements such as TestoFuel it also lack the required doses of each ingredient to make it beneficial.

Effective testosterone boosters should include:

  • DAA
  • B6
  • K2
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • B12
  • Oyster
  • Ginseng
  • Boron

However, while this test booster is awash with ingredients, none of the above which are proven to stimulate testosterone production are not included.

Plus this all of the ingredients for this supplement from Cellucor fall within a proprieatry blend which is a bit of a scam.

Instead of wasting your money on this, take a look at what I have found to be personally and scientifically effective instead.
