Cellucor Super HD Weight Loss Fat Burner Review

Cellucor Super HD Weight Loss Fat Burner Review

First Look:

As with all Cellucor products it looks swish. Very professional image, nice bold colors and it is clear what the product is.

I cannot help to be tempted by their products based on looks alone and this is no exception.

This also comes in both pill and powder format which seems to be en-vogue at the moment. However, the outcome should be the same. It is easier to misdose with powders though, so we would prefer the pills.

Coenzyme Q10 – Our body makes CoQ10, and your cells use it to produce energy your body needs for cell growth and maintenance. It also functions as an antioxidant, which protects the body from damage caused by harmful molecules.

Rauwolfia – Studies show that it appears to be a safe and effective treatment for hypertension when used in appropriate low doses, however, some adverse side effects such as lethargy, sedation, psychiatric depression, hypotension, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramping, gastric ulceration, nightmares, bradycardia, angina-like symptoms, bronchospasm, skin rash, itching, galactorrhea, breast enlargement, sexual dysfunction, and withdrawal psychosis are not uncommon.

Evodiamine – Seems to be used to treat multiple afflictions such as Nausea, Diarrhea, stomach ulcers and even obesity, it may even decrease inflammation, blood pressure and stimulate the heart but there’s actually very little evidence to prove that this is the case in humans.

Emblica Officinalis (Amla) – There is not enough evidence to recommend Amla for any particular purpose, it appears to possess a wide spectrum of potential benefits that require further research and may contribute to general well being and longevity.

Chinese Mistletoe – Appears to have anti-cancer properties.

Tuber Fleece Flower Root – Significantly reduced body weight of rats upon oral incubation.

Yohimbe – Related to Yohimbine, Yohimbe is a powerful stimulant and used to increase fat loss as well as assist with erectile dysfunction. Can cause a host of other problems though, this is in out supplements to avoid list.

Supplementation with yohimbine combined with resistance training does not significantly alter the body mass, muscle mass, or performance indicators.

Camelia Assamica (Assam Tea) – Amongst the benefits of tea is that it can prevent tumour cells growth, reduce cardiovascular disease, reduce cholesterol and induce body weight loss.

Toothed Clubmoss (Devil’s Ash, Devil’s Claw, Ground Pine) – Traditionally used for memory improvement and cognition.

Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) – Gives you more energy and boost your metabolism, helping you shed unwanted pounds. Ensure you are not deficient in Vitamin B12 so you can do that quick 10 miler at 5am…

Capsicum – Capsaicin is known to boost metabolism, causing the body to produce extra heat and burn more calories for fuel. This is found in our favorite fat burner Instant Knockout.

Vitamin B6 – Using it in its most natural form, pyridoxine, B6 is an essential nutrient to raising the body’s metabolism and aiding the fat burning process.

Caffeine Anhydrous – The purest form of caffeine available.  It stimulates the central nervous system (CNS), heart, muscles, and the centers that control blood pressure to give you an extra boost and hit that PB. This is found in Instant Knockout which is the best fat burner available at present.

L-carnitine – Acetyl-L-carnitine helps the body produce energy. It is important for heart and brain function, muscle movement, and many other body processes. It is a very popular supplement and widely proven to be active drugs for the therapy of symptoms associated with male aging. Any fat loss tends to be associated with the extra energy provided by this compound which in turn increases exercise.

Niacin –  Higher amounts of niacin can improve cholesterol levels and lower cardiovascular risks. However, the jury is out on these real benefits.

Rhodiola rosea – Can protect against cognitive deficits, neuronal injury and oxidative stress, can also be used as a potential agent in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. This is found in our favorite Nootropic.

Dandelion – There’s many uses for dandelion, however, there’s no real evidence to suggest it works for any of them.

Up to 3 pills per day which amounts to a barely adequate 1782mg. That is fairly low.

We prefer 4 pills spread across the day to evenly spread the nutrients out and prevent massive peaks and troughs. 4 pills are the doses of our benchmark products and we are looking for around 3000mg.

There’s whole metric ton of ingredients available here, just like the rest of the Cellucor range. In terms of ingredient profiling goes, these guys like to include everything, but this is perhaps where they go wrong.

There’s a bit of a ‘spray and pray’ approach to results.

10 of the included ingredients behold benefits for the user, not all related to fat burning but when they may assist with fighting cancer, one cannot really complain too much.

However, the more ingredients that are not focused on fat burning means the less fat burning will be done. It’s great to have nootropic related ingredients too for cognitive function, but if it is that you are looking for, buy a nootropic.

How will the remaining fat burning ingredients benefit the user?

Much of them help the body turn carbohydrates in to energy which can power your weight or cardio sessions. The more activity you do, the more calories burned.

B vitamins help boost your metabolism, so does caffeine and chilli peppers.

Tuber flower appears to reduce the size of your rat infestation, not by killing them but by promoting weight loss. We can only hope it will have the same effect on humans.

This does contain a proprietary blend, which is essentially a vehicle (not literally) used to not disclose the exact amount of each ingredient listed.

This may be because it consists of mainly filler or is made up mostly of the cheapest ingredients while offering only trace amounts of other.

It is not ethical in my mind and should not be allowed to carry on.

Not only this, we are offered a fairly low daily dose with an insignificant mass of overall ingredients. Approximately 75% of what’s found in our top 3 fat burners.

1 of the ingredients can also cause some health issues in some.

Too many ingredients are not conclusively linked with fat burning which seems wasteful as it blurs the line of product segmentation.

Too many ingredients have no scientific studies proving their worth on the big stage.

This does operate on a spray and pray basis. Basically Cellucor have just included a hell of a lot of ingredients in the hope that something works. Does this mean they have not conducted any thorough research? It would suggest that.

There are too many ingredients that offer no basis of scientific studies with results demonstrating their fat burning properties.

While there are 6 good ingredients that we see in alternative fat burner supplements, the servings are inadequate to offer any real world benefit.

It is not like this is the only way either, there are other products on the market that achieve good results without the risk of the unknown.
