Testosterone BSTRx Testosterone Booster Review

Testosterone BSTRx Testosterone Booster Review

As per, we’re still striving for the best testosterone booster and support products out there to help increase muscle size, strength as well as increase vitality that we can start to lose as we creep over 30 years old. We’re also looking for safe products that are natural on content and legal to buy and use. The nature of these products is to kick your body into producing more of its own testosterone rather than provide a synthetic replacement as found with anabolic steroids.

First Look:

If I am being honest, and I have to be, this seems a little basic, a little cheap and like little thought has gone in to the marketing. Now this isn’t the be all and end all because it could still be a #1 beater, however, we buy with our eyes after all, and this doesn’t really cut it amongst those with more effort plowed in to the packaging. The company behind this product could not be doing the product justice.

Take a look at our Top 3 boosters for something effective.

Ingredients:

Mercifully there isn’t a proprietary blend here which means the product is at least transparent. We can see every individual ingredient and compound and the exact content of each one – this is quite refreshing.

So let’s have a closer look at the ingredients found in Testosterone BSTRx:

Chrysin – Laboratory research suggests that chrysin might increase testosterone, but research in humans hasn’t found any effect on testosterone levels. The amount of chrysin that is absorbed from the intestine may be very small, which would make the effects unlikely.

Longjack (Eurycoma Longifolia) – Is a pro-fertility agent and aphrodisiac that appears to have a large body of evidence supporting this role and some evidence suggesting it may be an anti-estrogen and pro-erectile agent. Although there’s some research to suggest it may increase testosterone levels in animals and humans it is pretty lackluster which doesn’t bode too well.

Saw Palmetto – this fatty acid was long touted to help boost testosterone levels, but those claims turned out to be false. It is effective in suppressing prostate growth though. So could help if you are taking steroids or Prohormones.

Cissus Quadrangularis – Due to the ability of cissus quadrangularis to act as a glucocorticoid antagonist, it has been proposed to possess anabolic activity; no studies have yet addressed this topic. Anecdotes of cissus seem to precede much of the science on the topic.

Magnesium – By binding testosterone with protein in your bloodstream it allows far great circulation of the male hormone around your body to then be effective.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20352370

Zinc – This mineral is great for boosting testosterone, it is necessary for reactions in your brain and promotes the production of both testosterone and growth hormone. The amount here is about half of that found in a good ZMA product.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16533356

Tribulus Terrestris – Once regarding as the mother of all testosterone boosters, it was all crap. Further testing has ruled this out to be nothing more than helping boost libido at best. Avoid.

Hawthorn Berries – At best this ingredient may help with reducing inflammation and blood flow but there’s no concrete evidence to be found regarding increasing testosterone levels. Every article relating to testosterone increases with Hawthorn berries is on a site wanting you to buy them.

Dose:

3 pills to be taken throughout the day. Each daily dose is a paltry 1305mg, that is well short of anything in our top 3 boosters.  Ideally you want a testosterone booster providing 4 servings throughout the day, this way you can ensure you are getting all of the required nutrients evenly and constantly topped up. Not only that you want around 3000mg too!

Effects:

Of the 9 ingredients, only 2 would would assist in the stimulation of testosterone. That’s pretty shocking.  Only the magnesium and zinc would be of any help and the magnesium provision is only 200mg per day. In a good ZMA product the magnesium would be 450mg and there would also be vitamin B6 too, but this doesn’t even have that!

Negatives:

Just two active ingredients is poor. The rest of the ingredients either do nothing for testosterone production or the data found from research really is negligible.  The overall dose is too small to have any noticeable affect.

Conclusion:

I hate judging a book by its cover, but this product had all of the hallmarks of being ineffectual, and on this occasion my suspicions were true. It is going to have no real world effect on your training goals at all. I would certainly overlook this supplement.
